Obligatory Injury Update

Brunell and Moss practicing, along with most of the other beat up guys.
Lloyd was not participating and we do not know the nature of that injury yet. Fauria still in walking cast, so that doesn't look too good for Sunday right now.
Will update more after practice when we chat with Bubba.

Lloyd sure looked fine when he was interviewed courtside at the Wizards game last night....

Lloyd must be worn out by those 2 catches last week.

Posted by: Rob | November 9, 2006 1:18 PM

rob,
don't forget about the pass interference that would have been a catch and given him a banner day of 3. that was one of my least favorite Norvals. his unending reliance on attempting to inflate westbrook's stats by referring to the pass interferences he drew

J-La,

With the HBryant article today, can you give us an update if there is one, on how we stand with 2 of our free agents, Dock, and Betts? Personally, I'd like to see us retaining these guys.

Thanks.

Fauria isn't playing? Wow that's a blow.....for the Eagles Left Defensive end....

Brunell is breaking John from Herndon's heart.

We should have a blog injury list. So and so has carpel-tunnel syndrome Paper-cuts, hang nails and stiff wrists can really bring the comments posting down to a stand-still. Up here, were all working through pain.

My ankle hurts.

not a whole lot going on with betts and dock right now from what i gather. they want to re-sign both.

Have any of you read Vinny's "Blog"? He needs to hire a ghost writer, because his writing skills are more ammunition for those who think he's an idiot.

Question for JLC:

How did Grif's hip react to playing on Sunday? I recall that he said it might be the type of injury that would linger and cause him to miss more games. Thanks.

Posted by: CMoney | November 9, 2006 2:10 PM

don't other teams re-sign players they want to keep during the season? Why do we always have to wait until after the season? is there some sub-clause of the organizational chart that demands we wait until other teams can make better offers?

Thanks for the update Lisa. You are such a sweetie. I hold my thoughts on B Lloyd until a real QB gets in there. He have shown when thrown to he can get it done. OK lets hope boss doesn't see me. lol (I am such a rebel)

amen to jm220 re:lloyd

i didn't mean to compare him to westbrook, few deserve such an association.

CMONEY, SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!shut up!

cindy, could you please delete that comment and this one. vinny doesn't need to know that we get our ammo to use against him from his own blog.

Do you guys get that 'Redskins Direct' update that all of a sudden pops up on your computer when there is supposed 'breakin news'? I have never received 'breaking news' from this thing. The best message I received was that Vincent was named special teams player of the week (which i posted early yesterday).......

Posted by: 4th | November 9, 2006 2:35 PM

Skinz, that was quality.

We need Lloyd this week. I think it's in our best interest to make them play nickel as much as possible. Don't forget that it was Lloyd's block that took out 2 cowpukes and let CP waltz to the residence.

Please, everyone, give LLoyd a break. He was a great receiver in SF (SF no less) - made some amazing acrobatic catches. It's not his fault that he has not been thrown to. I have met him and he's a wonderful guy.

Posted by: Lisa | November 9, 2006 3:40 PM

Well, Brunell's a great guy too, but we sure bash the h*ll out of him!

I don't know any of these guys personally, so my comments just reflect their play on the field.

And I'm pretty sure these guys are aware when they start their NFL career (if not long before) that they're in the public eye, and subject to criticism (fair or not, accurate or not) for their play. Or even for doing push-ups in their driveway. It's the price they pay for all the fun and all that bling.

Spunky,

All I'm saying is....Lloyd has not been given a chance....he rarely gets balls thrown his way.

Posted by: Lisa | November 9, 2006 4:46 PM

I don't know if it's because Brunell just doesn't/can't throw to him, or he never gets open. Like you, I suspect the former. Hey, I know a good way to find out: let Campbell play!

Posted by: spunky | November 9, 2006 5:35 PM

Spunky,

Brunell does not throw to him - or anyone else except for Santana and Cooley. I have friends who have been to the games and they said Brandon was wide open lots of times. Brunell did throw to everyone (except Randle El) last week but only because he was forced to.
