Another Post (Can't Hate On Me)

Two in a row, howday like that?

So I guess I jinxed the inactives, because everyone's favorite receiver is out with bronchitis. So there's new after all. With that news we can put a cap on Lloyd's miserable season. Consider:

Lloyd caught just 23 passes for 365 yards and no touchdowns this season, numbers that many receivers could surpass in any given month. He never caught more than four passes or surpassed 52 yards in any game. He failed to catch a pass three times - including last week - and was held to two receptions or less in 13 of the 15 games he appeared in. Lloyd amassed just six catches for 104 yards over his last five games.

Coach Joe has bemoaned the lack of a deep game this season, and the production of all of Washington's receivers is down. Former starter Mark Brunell relied on primarily short passes, and Campbell is a first-year starter still learning his craft. Still, Lloyd is only fifth on the team in receptions, role players like Todd Yoder and James Thrash managed to catch touchdown passes and receiver Santana Moss and tight end Chris Cooley have twice as many receiving yards as Lloyd.

Lloyd has embarassed himself tremendously as a member of this team. The question is does he have the self-respect to try and come back next season and redeem himself, or will he disappear into the ether?

Sad, because he came across as a very likeable and fun-loving guy on the redskins.com interviews over the summer.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 7:30 PM

Seriously, what kind of name is "Colt McCoy"? Sounds like he should be out riding around in his pickup truck.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 7:35 PM

I've met Lloyd (he rapped at a party I attended) and he was a very nice, cool guy.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 7:37 PM

Okay, now this is crazy:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=398152&cc=5901

We should be thankful that 'Skins fans don't send severed animal heads to our GMs.

That is, if we had a GM.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 7:37 PM

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa. Let's not forget B. Lloyd's promise to keep fighting for this team and fighting for this city. That must be worth, um, something...

Posted by: Gozar The Gozarian | December 30, 2006 7:38 PM

How dare we hate on Lloyd, he's a ... a ... core Redskin, "up here" and everything.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 7:40 PM

Gotta admit, I was wrong. CNN's coverage of President Ford's funeral is quite respectful. No talking heads, no crazy news crawls, just a logo of the Presidential Seal and a CNN logo.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 7:41 PM

Gozar, are you related to Thundarr?

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 7:42 PM

We should be thankful that 'Skins fans don't send severed animal heads to our GMs.

At the rate we're falling, someone is going to send Vinny's head to $nyder. Now, I'm not advocating violencing or anything, just remarking that things are getting pretty bad "up here"; some unstable people might take things into their own hands.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 7:45 PM

Violence or violencing - have your pick. I think I'll stick to watching the game and stay away from blogging.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 7:47 PM

Last game of the season. We're pros. We can't let up now.

Lots of fans disguised as empty seats.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:00 PM

Well, I'm tired of the NFL Network devoting this game to the Giants...that's all they have talked about...Eli...Tiki....Coughlin...enough!!!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 8:04 PM

Dad is at home from the hospital doing much better and so now it's GAME TIME!!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:05 PM

"Lots of fans disguised as empty seats."

That's an old Green Beret trick.

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 8:06 PM

Welcome sfskin! You missed a quick detour to Maske's house. Glad everything is going well with your family.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:08 PM

I'm sorry did he say David Patten?

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:09 PM

Cooooooooley!

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:12 PM

Props to Samuels on that one as well way to stick with the block.

Hey Ladell Betts look at how Cooley handles the ball. Learn son learn.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:14 PM

HAHA, that looked like a scene from "Jaws" the way LBM went down.

Posted by: SMACK | December 30, 2006 8:14 PM

Plexico might be worse though.

Posted by: Ladell Sucks | December 30, 2006 8:15 PM

i'm watching on Fox...could that be why...ohh yeah that makes sense huh?

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 8:15 PM

Also nice that there are so many Giants fans that the noise only goes up when they get the turnover.

Hey Carlo STOP DANCING DING DONG!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:15 PM

Look on the bright side, it's just like pre-season. We get to see more kickoff returns so that we can figure out who makes the team and who gets cut.

I think the 'Skins should hire Tiki Barber as the Associate Head Coach of Not Fumbling.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:16 PM

Yes, dealer, that's the reason. I watched the local Fox HD feed of a Seahawks NFL Network game and it was horrible compared to NFL Network's straight up HD feed.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:17 PM

Oooh just remembered surround sound now I'm in surround sound. Not sure if that is good with the most boring call pair in the world of sports.

I'd almost take John Tesh calling gymnastics over these guys.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:18 PM

PDid, does this seem like a vodka gimlet game, a JD on the rocks game, a cabernet sauvignon game, or maybe just a few Modelos?

Posted by: SMACK | December 30, 2006 8:19 PM

Seems like a Mad Dog game.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:19 PM

I guess I'm old school, but the choreography from Moss when he makes a first down catch and Carter's posing for Mt. Rushmore after a sack would be more impressive on a team that hadn't embarrassed itself all year.

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 8:20 PM

Hmmm I need to go out and have an "angry run"

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:21 PM

C'mon Skins fans. One thing you must know about Ladell is he will get fired up and make that up to you.

Okay, I bet on him. Sorry.

Posted by: SMACK | December 30, 2006 8:21 PM

This is precisely why I love NFL Network. The other networks never show something like that Betts replay. They just forget about it and move on. Doesn't excuse the fumble, obviously, but it does explain why the NFL Network has their stuff together much better than what we, as a last place team, have been used to over the last several weeks.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:22 PM

yay, hold on to ball with both hands.

Posted by: Ladell (no so) Sucky | December 30, 2006 8:22 PM

Guys this is a Milwaukees Best game with a keg of Bush lite waiting in the wings.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:23 PM

pigskin, I couldn't agree more.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:23 PM

not the prettiest long ball, but that's the way you do it.

Posted by: Randell El Rocks | December 30, 2006 8:23 PM

Yup, there's my most hated Redskin. How does he find those?

Posted by: SMACK | December 30, 2006 8:24 PM

WOOOO - Gmen secondary looked like ours there.

GO OYE COMO VA!!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:24 PM

What on earth is that outfit that Derrin Horton is wearing? Yikes!

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:25 PM

Meineke Car Care Bowl???

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:25 PM

"I told you he wasn't as good as his brother"

Love it.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:27 PM

Sinorice took some advice from Ladell when he visited Santana last year?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:28 PM

Pigskin - You've said it perfectly.

Back to my beer analogy - it's a Beast game with BL in the wings cause I'm gonna drink and drink and drink and drink and think "Dude I am a killer drinker." Then suddenly I'll puke and then I'll rally and drink some more and then have some hideous hang over the next day.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:28 PM

Wow. If I were a conspiracy theorist I'd believe the Jints are laying down to get Coughlin dumped and Weis signed. Or maybe they are just really, really bad right now.

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 8:29 PM

OK, I'm watching NFL Network on NBC in NYC and they just showed the home depot ad w/ redskins colors. Huh?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:29 PM

Diddy, George Foreman made an in-booth appearance in the MCCB. I still love that guy, despite The Grill. Remember when he was just coming out at 330lbs and hammering people with vertical punches. That was great. Boxing blows now.

Posted by: Smack | December 30, 2006 8:29 PM

Really think Weis would love Notre Dame for the Giants? Notre Dame is the plum job in college, in a relatively low pressure environment compared to NYC.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:30 PM

By thew way how does the NFL Network going to get people who don't have the Network to ask for the Network if they can't see the Network and therefore not see the ads.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:31 PM

What does it mean if Dungy has better ads than Peyton?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:32 PM

Okay the Dungy Motorola ad is really quite funny.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:32 PM

Foreman rocks, totally agree. I love how all his kids are named George. You gotta love eccentric, fun people.

Boxing lacks star power...either someone you love (Ali, Holyfield, Foreman in his later years) or someone you hate (Tyson). I don't know enough to know if the game has changed in the ring, but outside the ring, the promoters simply don't have anyone with charisma to work with.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:33 PM

I think they are doing rolling free previews sfskin. You have to dangle that carrot somehow.

Posted by: smack | December 30, 2006 8:33 PM

Inability to tackle is not funny

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:34 PM

sfskin, it's because it's NFL Network "Free View" week. Everyone should be able to see it without paying more. They've been showing that same commercial on broadcast games on Fox and CBS.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:34 PM

Okay does our team get together and say "Hey guys don't forget we DON'T tackle Tiki."

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:34 PM

Rocky!

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:35 PM

Actually, I doubt Weis would leave ND. He'd be crazy to risk the flogging of the NY media when he can go 8-3 every year at ND playing Army, Navy, Air Force, the FBI academy, the Coast Guard intramural team, etc...

Posted by: pigskins | December 30, 2006 8:35 PM

Ade Jimoh made a play??????

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:36 PM

How do you make a lot of mistakes when you never play uh?

Posted by: SMACK | December 30, 2006 8:36 PM

Ahh thanks for the clarification.

I think RockyMack didn't get the memo on tackling Tiki.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:36 PM

1) Hmm, Uh Oh Jimoe isn't so Uh Oh anymore?

2) Why does Randel El run backwards?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:36 PM

BTW, how can "America's Game" not end up with the '72 Dolphins or (maybe, outside chance) '85 Bears?

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:37 PM

What the hell are Collinsworth and Gumble talking about?

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:38 PM

Ugh, that throw was out of the Brunell playbook

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:38 PM

Moss opens, Campbell misses him. Gotta make that play, that's a big-time throw.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:38 PM

Ugh * 2.

First way too low, then way too high.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:38 PM

Here we go on the Archuleta story...

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:39 PM

Are they going to talk about JC's article?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:39 PM

I think it was back on the monster thread where someone hypothesized that the reason they signed Archuleta was insurance against Sean Taylor's legal troubles. I think that's the most sensible thing I've heard so far. Otherwise, this makes no sense whatsoever.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:41 PM

Big SUVs are sooooo stupid!!

Hey boys not sure if you know this but the bigger and stupider the SUV you drive the smaller the weeny we think you have.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:42 PM

BTW, for those that don't ordinarily get the NFL Network, "America's Game" is indeed stellar. Definitely Netflix it when it comes out on DVD.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:42 PM

What does driving an Aston Martin say?

:-)

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:43 PM

Vernon, That's what we called the "toilet bowl, flush" in elementary school football.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:45 PM

I miss the AMC Pacer. Especially the wood-paneled "wagon".

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 8:45 PM

Aaah the same goes for stupid sports cars. The higher the HP and the higher the price tag well I'm sorry what are you over compensating for? And if it's a yellow one well then forget it.

Cris Collinsworth - "The problem with the Redskins is they don't have very good cornerbacks." There's the blatantly obvious statement of the year.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:46 PM

Were you supposed to clean those wagons using Murphy's Oil Soap?

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:46 PM

So what are the chances tiki soaks his uniform in oil before he plays the skins?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:46 PM

Damn you Tiki! Have fun in your retirement!

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:47 PM

AMC Pacer - a real man's car except when it explodes. : )

Gozer - Are you the key master?

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 8:47 PM

The Aston Martin Vantage is not a stupid sports car. A Ford Probe, that's a stupid sports car. The Mazda Miata, that's a stupid sports car.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 8:48 PM

Microsoft needs to hire Dungy to make their ads funny.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 8:48 PM

skins, you can have 2 to's. it's okay. i just don't want 3.

d's playing well though...except for 22 and that run by tiki...

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 8:48 PM

Gumble is not good. He shudda stuck to interviewing pop psychologists on Why Men Misbehave and throwing it to Willard...

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 8:49 PM

Damn I was posting on the last post. AC has picked his game up. Damn Betts! No more talk of him replacing CP! Damn Tiki

guys, i'm having 'putter problems and toddler problems with sleep thing...

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 8:52 PM

I thought the Ford Pinto was subject to explosions. Or perhaps the Vega. The Pacer was billed as the widest car in America.

And, of course, one should never get Murphy's Oil Soap in the state-of-the-art 8-track tape player.

Gatekeeper. Not Key Master.

You work for Microsoft?

It's a decent company, interned there in summer of 2004, but it was a totally awful fit. I'm a phd student, and they stuck me in a product group as a coder. While I can code, I continued my education to be a thinker/problem solver, not code things that anyone else can code. horrible summer overall, though the pay wasn't bad.

Though should have known it would be a bad summer when I showed up at LGA for my 7am flight (at 5am) to only find out MS Travel forgot to ticket my reservation!!!! And of Course AmEx couldn't help as MS Travel doesn't open till 7 AM Pacific. At least they had to buy me a same day ticket so I flew first class to Seattle.

Posted by: Sherry | December 30, 2006 8:59 PM

wow. Wright got away with an obvious one there.

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 9:01 PM

Did I hear right? Tiki wants to do something in a studio that doesn't have to do with football? If so, that is even more admirable. A true career switch. Granted, he has money, but any man who is successful in one industry and has the guts to go be a rookie in another is A-OK in my book.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:01 PM

I know what we do - on 3rd downs everyone on D especially in secondary shuts their eyes.

Tiki sometimes co-hosts "Fox and Friends," the morning show on the Fox New Channel. He's very good on it.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:05 PM

What's the purpose of that little loop at the top of the facemask on Salavea's helmet?

I miss the J. Theismann single-bar facemask. Whenever he had to readjust his helmet after a sack by yanking down on that bar, it was like Daffy Duck swinging his bill back around after getting a face-full of explosives.

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 9:05 PM

Ah, man, Tiki goes to Fox News? Ugh.

Damn you Tiki!

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:05 PM

Hate to say I told you so....but like I said we are going to lose this game...and it could be ugly.

They are letting Tiki run all over them. And Manning gain confidence.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 9:06 PM

Happy that things are well with you father sfskin.

Damn can we please hit Tikki

Have you ever seen a more pathetic defense than ours?!

Joe must go, along with double-G, Saunders and Cerrato!

Posted by: Montana'Skins Fan | December 30, 2006 9:07 PM

Gozer, you are Mr. Retro today. I loved Joe T's facemask. Didn't Moseley also have a single bar? Great stuff.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:07 PM

I wonder if Ladell Betts has ever got called for holding?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:07 PM

I believe Chip "Shot" Lohmiller also had the one bar as did many kickers in the 80s

At this point, I'm enjoying the slings and arrows to Grilliams' ego from this clueless defensive performance.

Posted by: pigskins | December 30, 2006 9:09 PM

Cris Collinsworth - "I don't understand what the Redskins are doing." - blatantly obvious statement #2

Thanks JM.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:09 PM

NFL Gameday commercial also relatively decent, but they should get dungy.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:09 PM

can joe gibbs fire saunders already! what a friggin idiot! has he ever heard of a term called "protect your D" stupid butt!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:09 PM

>>> "Can someone please explain NASCAR to me?"

Afraid not.

BUT, I did decide to try and get into it earlier this year. I bought the NASCAR field pass thingy that let me listen on any pit crew/driver radio over the Internets. It was stupid, and the only thing I could think of was I wished it was available in the NFL.

If Roger Goodell wants to double NFL revenues, this is the kind of stuff he needs to do. Do it on a one-play delayed basis or something. Give us on-field microphones live over the Internets. Give us the ability to watch any game, with any camera angle we want. Let us be the director.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:10 PM

oh no! JC is gone!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:10 PM

And if I have to hear Tiki's name one more time I think I will puke.

Uh-oh Campbell down.....Brunell back in?

What the heck - we have lost anyway.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 9:11 PM

I was wrong, Lohmiller wasn't single bar

http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nfl/washington/CLomiller.jpg

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:11 PM

Straight-on kickers and bare-footed kickers. Dying breeds.

Uh oh. Welcome back, Mark Brunell.

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 9:11 PM

Brunello is a capable backup in here.

Posted by: SMACK | December 30, 2006 9:11 PM

Lohmiller did not have a single facemask.

Here comes Brunello!

I think it's time for us all to check out now :-)

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:12 PM

LMAO!!!!! #8 is in! what if he comes in to lead the team to a WIN!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!! will he be back next season!!! LOLLLLLLLL

THIS COULDN'T get any better!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:12 PM

You know what might happen now don't you . . .come on y'all are thinking it . . . .

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:12 PM

Yep dealer that's the thought....

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:13 PM

So Is Gibbs going to pull a Ramsey and trade JC after the season is over?

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:13 PM

and on with the dinks and dumps!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:14 PM

Wow, this season is a disaster and this is quite fitting.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:14 PM

3rd and 8 time for the dink dunk woooo

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:14 PM

We're mere moments away from Todd Collins.

Posted by: Jason's editor | December 30, 2006 9:15 PM

Please if someone out there is listening - if this game doesn't demonstrate Gwilligan's gotta go then you are stupid.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:16 PM

Uh, why not be done to the third quarterback.

I want the Todd Collins era to commence!

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:16 PM

Hypothetical situation: Brunell keeps the drive alive on that play. Campbell is ready to go back in. Who plays QB?

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:16 PM

Brunell just ran out of gas on that six yard scamper

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 9:16 PM

DUDE! if JC doesn't come in the next series...OMG! snyder HAS HAS to take #8 away from gibbs!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:16 PM

Oh P Diddy you funny boy - if Brunell keeps that drive alive hhahahahahahahaha

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:17 PM

Well that is the end of this game. Double G just needs to go!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 9:18 PM

A proper Tom Collins has a wee bit of sugar and some freshly squeezed lemon juice. I highly recommend a Absolut Limon for this drink.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:18 PM

87 Superbowl or playoff (don't quite remember, I was only 8). William got injured for a few plays, Schroeder comes in plays well, Gibbs put Williams back in quickly.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:18 PM

"no, dad got hosed!" yep, that's how the skins fans feel right now!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:19 PM

Skins can't stop J-Load as they called Lorenzen at UK

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 9:20 PM

Matt Rennie, our college editor, sez Collinsworth looks like Dieter from Sprockets.

Posted by: Jason's editor | December 30, 2006 9:20 PM

ok, this is sad. Just looked at wizards box score.

Arenas has 0 points in 13 minutes!

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:20 PM

Exactly right Comic Relief. Schroeder threw one pass, incomplete. He was then sacked on the next play. Williams came back in on their next drive, to start the second quarter, and the rest is history.

Damn you Tiki!

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:20 PM

I said, I was only 8. I guess I need to watch my 87 season video again. It's somewhere in my vhs collection at the parents.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:22 PM

If Tiki played the 'Skins every week, he'd be the NFL's leading rusher every year.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:22 PM

Sykes!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:23 PM

Why don't we just end the game now before it gets any worse???

Every flippin' game we let Tiki run all over us! The stupid GMen will be in the playoffs anyway - even if they lose.

I can't take it anymore!!!!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 9:23 PM

"Eli in a comfort zone..." Uh, yeah, he has finally figured out he has nothing to fear from the D-line

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 9:23 PM

Do you know what's depressing? There is a whole generation of kids who will soon be able to legally drink and who have no idea what a record, cassette tape, and VHS tape are.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:24 PM

you'd think being able to gain 200 yards per half over 2 games would be enough to get him there anyways.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:24 PM

Double pass interference, I like it!

Posted by: SMACK | December 30, 2006 9:26 PM

there CAN'T be pass INT on both you SUCKS!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:26 PM

Ade Jimoh just needs to be cut!

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:26 PM

Best thing about this game. The delicious Chinese food I just got and best beer on earth Guiness.

EFFIN REDSKINS!! OIEWIUEW$OIRU)$R#$OIRHJHWLKDJF

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:27 PM

If there are offsetting penalties on the last play of either half, does the half still end?

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:27 PM

OMG! FIRE GIBBS! FIRE EVERYONE! can't believe this game! NO CLASS!!!!!!!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:27 PM

Cris Collinsworth - "The Washington Redskins aren't exactly the Indianpolis Colts when it comes to explosive offense." Blatantly obvious statement #3

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:29 PM

someone HAS to initiate contact...and on that play burress pushed off first...IDIOTS!

i'm so mad riht now! i apoligize now if i say anything offensive!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:29 PM

Double G just need to get out of here. Take the damn mil hit and get his ass out of here!!!!! You see that LBM is scared out of his damn mind and Tikki is running all over you. Why in God's green earth would you not put 8 man in the box to stop Tikki. You fu*** b**** ass mother f***!!!!1

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 9:29 PM

That was decidedly boring, huh?

I'd rather get back to reminiscing about the wacky adventures of Thundarr and Ookla. God, I really wanted one of Thundarr's swords.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:30 PM

The Skins are letting a team that has lost 6 out of their last 7 games run roughshod all over them. This could be a 45-7 game!

I figured this would happen.....too much press about how bad the Giants were....it always works in that teams favor....and we have been helping them all night!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 9:31 PM

Maybe if I pound a bunch of beers during halftime the second half will be more bearable.

Which peeplogger was going to the game - was it Nate? Poor guy.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:31 PM

I think Collinsworth should do the entire second half using a German accent. Add some international intrigue to the game.

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 9:32 PM

jm you read my mind.

BTCHI SSA MOTHERFCKUER!! BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF BAMF

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:35 PM

If Kia was from Austria, this commercial would make more sense.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:36 PM

How pathetic are we? Even the Raiders have a defense.....OMG!!!

To all you who say Gibbs needs to remain for consistency: tape this game and keep watching it in the off-season. Lisa, this means you!

Posted by: Montana'Skins Fan | December 30, 2006 9:38 PM

What difference does it make if Gibbs comes back or not? He's not putting in schemes, he's not calling plays I'm unsure his going or staying will have any impact on consistency

Posted by: Montana | December 30, 2006 9:40 PM

The following pairings of announcers I would consider far preferable to Gumbel and Collinsworth:

- Grace Jones & John Riggins
- Bjork & Sam Huff
- Kathy Ireland & Assy McGee

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 9:40 PM

St. Joe won't be fired, we're all wasting our breath on that one. There need to be some wholesale changes in this franchise, but that's not going to be one of them.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:41 PM

argh, why do I keep on doing this, keeping on writing who I'm responding to in the name. sigh.

Posted by: Comic Relief | December 30, 2006 9:41 PM

So who do the Giants play next weekend in the first round of the playoffs?

I can only pray the announcers stop talking about Tiki. Sorry, Ms. Barber but that is a dumb name. I had a canary named Tiki when I was in high school. Every time I hear that name I think of a bird....and tonight he is flying like a bird.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 9:41 PM

Gozer, you are one funny dude.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:42 PM

I wish I got that voodo doll in New Orleans with the male organs. It would be double G and I would set that b*** on fire!!!! I want to kick his ass right about now!!!!!!!! How the hell you allow someone rush for over 100 yards in one damn half!!!

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 9:43 PM

I don't think I can watch anymore...it's too painful. Switching to the Wiz/Bucks game.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 9:43 PM

Assy McGee - he's the best! Plus I think he's married to that hot chick Tits McGee.

That by the way is why we want SD in the SB.
San Diego - whale's vagina . . . it's Whale's Vagina vs. New Orleans.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:43 PM

Good news! Ade Jimoh will return to the game.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:46 PM

I love lamp.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:47 PM

He couldn't remember which goal he was defending BEFORE!!!

Posted by: Jason's editor | December 30, 2006 9:48 PM

NFL.com told me to adopt the Green Bay Packers as my playoff team. Now I'm really screwed.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:48 PM

Anybody figure out where the Skins are falling in the draft order? The sad thing is this team was a coin flip win against the Jags and a once in a million FG block against Dallas from a top three to five pick...

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 9:49 PM

And the defense holds.

Brunello or Soup? I just opened a can of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup to tide me over. Don't tell me I need to start drinking the Italian vino.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:50 PM

Does it really matter where they draft?

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:51 PM

Who knew there was a Trans Siberian Orchestra. Thank god Miller found them for a stupid commerical.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:51 PM

If I hear that Wendy's whistle again, I will have to kick my dog.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:52 PM

That play was 100% pure sandlot.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:53 PM

Sure it matters where they are in the draft order -- to the team that'll skin them out of the pick for an overrated has been...

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 9:53 PM

i'm still angry!

and of course what a play by antonio pierce...

and what a playcall f-ing saunders!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:53 PM

Gah! Nap time.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:54 PM

really!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 9:55 PM

Why do I watch this team? Someone please remind me.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:55 PM

2nd half and we're already into the "Al Saunders" moments. God#ucking dammit, run the ball Al. Run the ball. Damba$$.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 9:55 PM

That's it. I'm activating the SAP button on my telly.

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 9:56 PM

Okay I actually want Williams fired right this second. I want him escorted off the field to his car and a box of his stuff sent to his house.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 9:56 PM

wow, defense. Have a little pride. Will we see Andre Carter pose again if he makes a meaningless sack when its 37-7?

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 9:57 PM

Someone tell me why I am watching this!

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 9:58 PM

Sigh.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 9:58 PM

The refs suck...what the f**k was that interference call on an uncatchable ball...these refs are bush league....

Posted by: jcb63 | December 30, 2006 9:59 PM

Gack.

Posted by: Jason's editor | December 30, 2006 10:00 PM

Navy/BC: why do you run an option play with 1:45 left to play??? That's Al Saunders style playcalling.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:00 PM

sfskin, in my anger i had this epiphany: Al Saunders and double G can't possibly co-exist! Mr. 700 pages doesn't like to protect the D and double G coaches the D. :)

hey! anything to keep my heart and brain from stopping

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:00 PM

F the refs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and the Skins

Posted by: OC Skins | December 30, 2006 10:00 PM

I bet Nate Clements can pick off quarterbacks just by thinking about it.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:01 PM

It doesn't help that the refs are giving all the breaks to the Giants.

This is our worst game all season...and we have had lots of bad ones. Making Coughlin look like a genius for firing his offensive coordinator - on Christmas Day no less.

I can just hear Tiki after the game talking with the NFL Network guys...sickening.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:01 PM

FIRE COACH GIBBS PLEASE. WILLIAM IS THE FIRST ONE THAT NEEDS TO PACK AS WELL. I am tired of the same story line where it doesn't take a genius to know Tiky Barber is going to run the ball, and YET THE REDSKINS DEFENSE CAN'T STOP him. Last season he ran over the Skins by over 200 yards, and in this game he had 130 yards by the first half. HELLO!?!?! is retirement the only way the Skins can stop Barber?! I don't care if this is the last game and a meaningless game, FIRE GIBBS and WILLIAM, PLEAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Posted by: jj | December 30, 2006 10:01 PM

Not that it would make a one bit of difference, but that was bad reffing. It's just like adding salt to an open wound.

Oh, thank for the run there, Al. Worked didn't it? Big dumbhead stork-looking sonufab!tch

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:02 PM

Can someone please tell me why everyone (except me) was picking the Skins to win tonight??????

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:02 PM

The good thing is that with this looming loss the 5-11 Washington Generals will get more ping-pong balls in the lottery. Oh, wait. Wrong league.

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 10:03 PM

i just want to thank the O-line for not false starting on that 3rd down play

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:04 PM

True believers, Lisa. We're all true believers. We bleed burgundy and gold and every time we threaten to leave and root for another team, we come back to watch this debacle of a franchise.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:04 PM

Chris Cooley - I suppose he's a reason to watch this trainwreck.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:04 PM

My gawd, Cooley didn't break the first tackle. Did hell just freeze over?

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:04 PM

This Jints team will get crushed in the playoffs...

Posted by: pigskin | December 30, 2006 10:05 PM

Sellers, thanks for just killing us. You a$$wipe.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:05 PM

Cooley. Yeah, he's totally the reason to watch. Cooley, Moss, Portis.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:06 PM

Can we at LEAST score? Something?

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:06 PM

OMG! what a RUN! by JC!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:07 PM

I love this QB.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:07 PM

omg campbell, holy s

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:07 PM

Hang on Soupy Soupy Hang On!

Okay Cooley and Soupy they'll keep me here for a while.

Also I'm just a big stupid dumba## sucker.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:07 PM

Now it's just about time for us to lose the ball AGAIN!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:07 PM

Doh, they finally got him.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:08 PM

This would be a good down for a drop-kick. Catch them totally off guard.

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 10:08 PM

this is a 4 down territory! wtf is gibbs/saunders thinking!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:08 PM

Go for it!

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:08 PM

We're still going to lose.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:10 PM

close doesn't count. JC has to win this game...
and PUHLEASE! 8K, tell them to keep running the F-ing ball!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:11 PM

Hey guys all the shti on NFL Network will give us plenty of stuff to keep this blog going.

I can't imagine what my day would be without it. I mean I might have to actually have a life. Plus youse guys are like family now.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:12 PM

if you need more reason to fire gibbs, we spend a ton to get lloyd, archileta (or whatever his name is), randle el, carter, and have we gotten anywhere near a good return on these guys? SOMEHOW MOSS IS STILL THE ONLY RECEIVER GETTING OPEN WITH COOLEY with lloyd and randle el no where on offense. that archileta guy, what a joke. williams is an overconfident bozo. gibbs is too conservative with his play calling. we need a GM to put these guys into their place. we gave up a high draft pick for duckett and he carries the ball once or twice a game and more than likely will go somewhere else next season. everybody else in the NFC east builds a defense first and move on from there, the redskins think they can do it with a bunch of underachievers on defense and it shows. we spend on ton on offense and the recievers still cant get open. WHAT A JOKE GIBBS 2 HAS BEEN!!

Posted by: jj | December 30, 2006 10:13 PM

We need banners at the stadium that say: RUN THE BALL!!!!!!

That or someone to run up there and smack Al in the back of the head everytime he has one of his moments

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:13 PM

It's a lot of fun, that's for sure. Plus, all the inevitable drama surrounding this team's offseason will give us plenty of fodder to keep this thing going until OTAs and Mini Camp.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:14 PM

Way to go Campbell. I hope you all remember way back when that I was pulling for the kid to get playing time. Can't wait to see him and CP together. (someone that doesn't fumble the ball)

Kick in double G ass!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 10:14 PM

God why is beer SO good?!?

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:14 PM

If they run out of linebackers, guess who would get to play? That's right...Archuleta.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:15 PM

Ohno, Holdman is gone. Whatever will we do? I'm so scared. Like he was going to stop that tiki run? yay, hold---ing!

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:15 PM

Great! Warrick Holdman off to the locker room.

Tiki off to the races AGAIN.....can't wait for him to retire!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:15 PM

Like Jason Campbell, when the season ends your work (on this blog) is only beginning!

Posted by: Jason's editor | December 30, 2006 10:16 PM

Too bad lemar can't catch with his a$$

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:16 PM

hey lamar, how about looking for the damn ball!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:16 PM

Tiki's not in there? Really super-smart

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:17 PM

ONE MORE THING, SEAN TAYLOR IS ANOTHER LAVAR HARRINGTON ON THE TEAM AND HE NEEDS TO GO TOO. WHEN HE ACTUALLY TACKLES SOMEONE, HE BRINGS IT ON, BUT WHEN HE IS OUT OF POSITION HE IS CLEARLY OUT OF POSITION just like harrington was. just like harrington, he is a liability on the team.

Posted by: jj | December 30, 2006 10:17 PM

Who is #78?

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:17 PM

Yes I say bring in AA. Come on what on what is there to lose? A game? Don't make me laugh or beer will come out of my nose.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:18 PM

#21 is coming really close to getting a momentum ending flag...

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:18 PM

Joe Sykes - #78, listed as a DE

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:19 PM

Heck, I still get chills when I see that Elway play in the Super Bowl. "This one's for John," is one of my all-time favorite NFL quotes.

jj,

Please remember Gibbs is not calling the plays....Saunders is. And it's the defense that has been sucking!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:20 PM

i thought it was funny(not at the time) that best run by TJ this season and it gets negated...

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:20 PM

Doesn't look like Betts will get his 100 yards tonight.....

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:20 PM

Elway is a gagger, sorry. Yuck. Can't get the memory of him burning Darrell on a last second 50 yard bomb. Never forgive.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:21 PM

Umm jj it's Arrington - they dropped the H when the family came through Ellis island.

Megskin - you are en fuego girlfriend keep it up. . . don't make Megskin angry . . . you wouldn't like her when she's angry. . .

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:21 PM

Now that Al is running the ball again, let's get him to run Betts straight ahead, no sweeps. Doh, ARE.

I'm a football fan first, and I adore Elway. The Drive alone has to make you love the guy.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:22 PM

who is the GM on the team? that is right, dear old Gibbs. i know he was a god back then, but i don't know what he is now. let's be realistic, if this had been anybody else, and had it not been for his past glories, you TOO would have been calling for his head. his offseason moves alone has been disastrous.

Posted by: jj | December 30, 2006 10:23 PM

OMG! what a THROW!!!!!!!! TOUCH!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:24 PM

just to let everyone know that redskin nation is still hanging in here at fedex. . .

now if we could only get another td...

Posted by: skinsfan@8KaboveMSL | December 30, 2006 10:24 PM

It would be nice if Gumbel could learn how to pronounce Randel El first name....

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:24 PM

Buet of a pass to ARE

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:24 PM

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:24 PM

Illegal shift.

8K - way to check in from FedEx. Way to hang in.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:26 PM

Seriously? People (who aren't in Cleveland) harbor hatred for Elway? I find that really odd. He's one of the giants of the game. Plus we kicked his butt in a Super Bowl.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:26 PM

No pass rush by Giants

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:27 PM

jj,also, remember Gibbs took us to the playoffs last season. And if Gibbs was not the coach, Snyder would still be changing coaches EVERY year.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:27 PM

No, sorry, never really liked Elway. Like to watch him play against other people-something just bothered me about. I was a Marino-girl, sorry.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:28 PM

sfskin,

I think it was Collingsworth that belched...

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:28 PM

I think the Giants ought to fire Tom Coughlin if for no other reason that the old man doesn't have a coronary on the sideline.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:29 PM

yay Duckett!!!

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:29 PM

Yes for the second time. No damn class. Damn Campbell is a player. OK Reaper you got to get us the ball. Bring the damn wood and send Tekki home earlier.

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 10:31 PM

8k, you got your TD. now it's all up to YOU! bring us home baby!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:32 PM

How great is it going to be if the Giants lose this game and Tiki runs over a kicks Coughlin in the a$$.

You know he'd so do that too. He's gone, what does he care?

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:32 PM

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 10:33 PM

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:33 PM

OMG, how can Tiki just run right through there? Oh, taylor bad mistackle

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:34 PM

At least it has turned into a competitive game for skinsfan@8KaboveMSL who flew all the way from CO. We will still lose but at least maybe not a blowout.

To all who like Elway...I have booked him for a speaking engagement the day after the Super Bowl. Plan to attend that conference.

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:35 PM

if i knew it was Tiki time...how come double G didnt?

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:35 PM

#58 ... Parker Posey?

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:36 PM

Thanks dealer - I feel the love.

Hey Parker Posey plays for the Skins. Nice tackle!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:36 PM

You're right about Dieter, er, Collinsworth. I thought I id'ed him as the belcher. Sounded like him. Maybe the turtleneck is too tight or he has acid reflux or something.

Posted by: Jason's editor | December 30, 2006 10:36 PM

Those BK King spots get creepier and creepier. I can picture that animated dude doing the "ear dance" from RESERVOIR DOGS and slicing off some joker's ear.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:41 PM

Look at us! We gave up a 50 yard TD run! Way to go! Way to be consistent! Consistently SHTITTY!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:41 PM

i love how nfl network keeps cutting Gumball off, it's so fun---

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:41 PM

I am getting in the car now. I am heading to FedEx. To beat the living hell out of double G. I hope you guys write me when I am in cell block C.

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 10:42 PM

Where is Gregg Williams? What has happened to him? How many runs over twenty five yards has the defense given this season? I am simply stunned that the Redskins D sucks this bad. 5-11. Wow.

Posted by: GAT | December 30, 2006 10:42 PM

How many franchise or League records have been set against this defense?

Time to close the book on this disaster.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:42 PM

i think Tiki must have signed with $nyder in the offseason for defenseless skins to show up. 10.8 average. This is sickening. Oh wait, no-no, the fact is.... WE SUCK! Back to reality, sorry.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:43 PM

And to make this night even worse...the Wiz are getting blown out too....

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:43 PM

Dear Daniel Snyder,

Please fire Gregg Williams. If you don't you are a stupidhead and a poopy pants.

Sincerely,
A stupid fan who can't get enough pain.

Yes, finally a catch for Moss that isn't taken away-doh, challenged. Dammit!

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:46 PM

It turns out drinking a few beers after 3 days of little sleep and some stress makes for a deeliteful buzz.

And it makes the crap shti play a little less intolerable.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:46 PM

ohh was that what it was??????! i thought tommy boy was sucking on jerremy shocky's panties!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:47 PM

Remember the good ol' days when Mr. Snyder would storm on down to the locker room after a late-season loss while still in playoff contention and fire his head coach? Ah, memories... (Well, memory -- singular -- that is.)

Posted by: Gozer The Gozerian | December 30, 2006 10:47 PM

jm220,

you're going to have to beat me to g dub, he doesn't stand a chance

Posted by: cosmofla | December 30, 2006 10:47 PM

Let's just admit what we all know is going to happen with tiki. He'll retire, $nyder will convince him to sign with the skins, but he'll suck to high hell; we'll have let portis go....to the Giants where he gets 2k year and Betts goes to ... Dallas. Dyuh.

You know it'll happen

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:48 PM

how many seasons do we have to give this overpaid old farts to get it right? may i remind everyone on here last season tikki ran all over the skins in the blowout in ny? what was it again 200 yards in that game? how many does he have so far in this game 250??
PLEASE FIRE GIBBS

Posted by: jj | December 30, 2006 10:48 PM

The next time someone asks you if you are a god you say yes!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:48 PM

Omg, something went our way. Ok, time to self-destruct now.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:49 PM

Oh I thought Betts was going in

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:49 PM

Another old-fashioned shootout, where the defense lets the team down. It's been the story since the onset.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:50 PM

call a timeout!!!!!

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:50 PM

Hey nice run. Wait guys I just realized that we scored 21 points! Now that's something to get excited about for 2 seconds. Ready set GO!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:51 PM

Draft position? Who needs drafts when we can sign free agents like Lloyd, Archuleta, etc.?

Posted by: GAT | December 30, 2006 10:51 PM

no time out?? c'mon al...you just wasted 30 seconds and lost 4 yds

Posted by: cosmofla | December 30, 2006 10:51 PM

JC looks great. Best game by far. When we lose we should still see an article about him tommorrow

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:51 PM

So close but yet so far......season ends at 5-11!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:52 PM

Posted by: GAT | December 30, 2006 10:52 PM

Really, the story of this game is SwissHam. And probably Campbell, too.

Lots to build on for next year. We have a kicker, a quarterback, a running back, a wide receiver, a tight end, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:53 PM

that was funny! but was JC trying to sell the play?

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:54 PM

can g dub suit up??

Posted by: cosmofla | December 30, 2006 10:54 PM

Cindy,

Yes, please! A nice article about Jason Campbell instead of an article about our loss and how the D sucks!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:54 PM

Time for Eli to panic. Who is more likely to push the self-destruct: our defense or Eli?

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:55 PM

Ah yes our "defense" is sure to stop them. And now the monkeys will fly out of my a##.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:55 PM

On the 5th day of Christmas Jimoh gave away: free 15 yards, Speed Bump threw in 5 + 1st, but the offense just won't quit.

With 3 min left I might have risked the onsides kick.

Posted by: daveskin | December 30, 2006 10:55 PM

Hey P Diddy:

Do those guys play D also?

Posted by: GAT | December 30, 2006 10:56 PM

Thought that was fumble

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:56 PM

heh, where's the flag on us?

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:56 PM

God, what I would give for an interception!!!

Posted by: Lisa | December 30, 2006 10:56 PM

OMG monkeys just flew out of my a##!

Ow that hurts!

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 10:58 PM

WOW! way to boost the QB's confidence...

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 10:58 PM

Thank you Reaper! Let's go Campbell. You got to pull this one out baby.

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 10:58 PM

Did he just say we have to "stick it in?" Time for Antwan to return it

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 10:58 PM

HOLY COW. The defense holds.

Now let's see what Soups can do. This last drive is our final moment of excitement until we sign our first over-priced free agent.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 10:58 PM

I'm super glad they kicked it away. I like what's happening on offense. I'm guzzling kool aid...or something right about now.

Posted by: daveskin | December 30, 2006 10:59 PM

Ohh doh. Dangit.

Patten was in there???!

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 11:00 PM

Posted by: dealer | December 30, 2006 11:00 PM

Posted by: jm220 | December 30, 2006 11:05 PM

Patten, or course. Why would we throw to ARE or Moss-that makes too too too much sense.

Ouch, face mask.

Posted by: Megskin | December 30, 2006 11:06 PM

jm - go get him now please. I'll help post bail and be a character witness. I think we can consider it a community service.

Posted by: sfskin | December 30, 2006 11:06 PM

Cindy, maybe he's Canadian. Rumor has it, Canadia is actually a different country.

Posted by: P Diddy | December 30, 2006 11:06 PM
