Media Day Madness
Slow night on Monday. No one died at the hotel that i am aware of, so that was a good thing. No signs of police tape, either. The parties get rolling in a few days, so it'll pick up. Promise. I will be deathly hung-over sometime soon.
Today is media day, which offers a cornucopia of C-D List wannabe stars asking mostly unknown players stupid questions. In context, it can be amusing at times. If you are actually trying to get a half-decent interview done while Tom Arnold barges in and nudges you aside with his gut and camera crew, well, you tend not to enjoy it so much.
Last year it was Mo Rocca, Gilbert Gottfried and the like on the prowl, along with some, um, talent, from MTV. There should be no lack of fodder today. I'll post after each team talks and share whatever wacked-out sights and sounds the day brings.

Since it's Pooper Bowl goofiness week, how about a new name for the RI Blogger Crewe: "The Fun Bunch".
(silly giggling in the background- Old School and those more "senior" fans get it, right?)
Oh, never mind. Keep it coming, guys and gals!
Posted by: ILikeSonny | January 30, 2007 10:06 AM
ILikeSonny - I remember the Fun Bunch. Do you, or anyone, remember Eddie Lebaron, John Carson, and Podoley, Bossler, and Sutton? Or am I really that old?

Jason, if you're checking in here, PLEASE try to ask some outstandingly stupid questions for the sake of posterity.

I thought this RI?
Did you guys hear about Portis and other 'unamed redskins players'?

Just as long as you kick Len Fatsquarelli in the nugget pouch... better yet, get Triumph the Insult Dog to bite him in the nugget pouch... Triumph can poop on him too if he likes.

Yeah, I remember the Fun Bunch those were great times to be a fan. My first real memories were back in Lombardi's Year. I still have a Larry Brown Jersey and I wore his number 43 in high school and college.

jason, if you see Kristin from the show Laguna Beach...please go all Dickens [, emily] on us and give us a literary visual of what you saw...

Larry Brown, Mike Thomas, Charlie Taylor, Ron McDole, Diron Talbert, "I like Sonny" vs "I Like Billy,".....Fun times.

4th, that just goes to show you that if you're not a millionaire (in this country by the age of 30) there can only be two reasons as to why you're not a millionaire
reason # 1: you don't want to be.
reason # 2: you're not motivated enough.

Does anyone know what CP said yesterday on Sportstalk 980?
I hear it was controversial???
Posted by: etrod | January 30, 2007 11:30 AM
Well, they haevn't posted the interview on their website yet. How controversial was it?
Is CP in MIA? I just got an email with about some party his name is on at some club on South Beach........
I would think I'd take that stuff to had I known about it to get or stay in the pros. I was wondering why CP looked so stocky now over the last 2 years. I personally don't have a problem with it......

You Know You're an RI If:
1. you know who the troll is.
2. you know the real name of "jason's editor".
3. you've seen lisa K-I-S-S-I-N-G mark brunell
4. you know the comment count (to the nearest 10ths)
5. you know the definition of a thoroughbred
i'm sure all you guys can come up with much better ones...

Now that I posted this I bet XXX and WTEM will be all over this in the afternoon or tommorow morn. This is how they get their news.
Can I get a job as a reporter? I think this is what MAske does most of the times since I see the story on ESPN.com 1st. Then an hour or 2 later, here comes Maske with the same exact post. to take from what a fellow RI....I'm just saying.....

It has been two hours since Jack killed anyone... what did they do to him in China?? Geez. Although I was hoping Jack's dad would be Donald Sutherland, the old guy from "Babe" isn't a bad choice. Tha'll do Fox. Tha'll do. One problem though, Daddy Bauer is about 6'4" and Jack is like 5'10" and bad brother Bauer is 5'8". Is thier mother a midget?
Nadia is so hot when she's indignant. Please God don't let her be a mole!

4th, everything you said about maske has been said before on this blog and none of it is a secret.
but as i understand it the way news works is it's all about exclusivity. and after you've "aired" it then it belongs to everyone else. hardly anyone credits the original source (on small stuff not tom friend article stuff). the keyword being ORIGINAL. on the radio i have heard them say "according to espn.com... or SI.com...Wapo.com" which i like. but then again that also might not be the original source.
also there're two big reporting agencies AP and Reuters. Most of the news in america (and europe i think...not sure) is sold thru them.
etrod, no you didn't!?

If someone post their name shorthand and you respond longhand.
My example - I always respond to LH as Leonard Hand......
Posted by: 4th | January 30, 2007 12:10 PM
dealer,
You would have been correct if you said "Lisa kissing Shawn Springs" I would not kiss Brunell...I only defend him because the rest of you were so cruel.
4th...Portis lives in Miami so he probably is there.

Yeah I saw his place on MAdden Nation while I was home in my 'jammies during my vacation. CP sucks at MAdden....
He vicsious in Real Life though and that's all that matters to me.

Sounds fun. Kind of like a live version of some reality show on VH1. Let us know if Flavor Flav shows up.
Jason, I'm curious if you're enjoying your time away from the Skins beat. Seems like you were pretty worn out by week 17.
