Brunell Has Left The Building ... And Expects To Be Back
No movement on the trade front - not there they have ever been close to having a deal for him in place - and again, we're talking a limited market for Mark at this point.
Mark came in for meetings with all the QBs, and left with Collins and Palmer. Said he expects to be here, and has been told nothing to the contrary. Actually, he's been told pretty much nothing. He wants to be here come Week 1 and hopes that's the case.
"I want to be a part of it here," he said.
Mark also has no idea where he sits on the depth chart, he said. We'll see what Gibbs says about that later when he talks to us schlubs.
Oh yeah, Jordan Palmer said he was not told that he is on waivers, or what the plan is for him, though he is pretty much 100 percent sure he's destined for the practice squad at best.

They need to keep Brunell to help develope JC along with Collins.
As Wise said, I can't believe I'm saying "Keep Mark Brunell."

Kudos to farstriker for one thought/four comments!
It really is gorgeous out there in the big blue room, makes me feel a little guilty for pushing the Boren Penultimatum so strongly. I went for a nice run and now am monitoring Skins, Larry Craig presser (THAT is must-see TV -- I hope he goes with the "naughty, naughty boy" defense...check out his comments on clinton, if you haven't seen that clip) and, of course, the Virginia Tech pregame. That promises to be the most moving moment in sports this year.

Ya know, sometimes things happen in life that you just cannot make up. CNN sez Larry Craig is holding his presser in the Boise train depot. Shouldn't he stay away from mass transit?

Can you believe it??

Good point, 'striker.

How 'bout this--
He's at the train station because he's lookin' for a fast caboose? He's a little loco? He's trying to express himself? He wants to get back on the right track? He's got a lot of baggage? He needs to unload? He thinks he's being railroaded?
Etc.

Mark Brunell is probablly the most qualified 3rd string quarterback in the NFL.
Posted by: bangkokben | September 1, 2007 11:41 AM
Very solid, TE.
To turn back to fubball, we're also looking at the Rodney Harrison Maske reported this morning....More names to come...

Excellent job on your Burmashave post! (Nate owes you a beer or something for your clever originality.)

Hi I'm Skippy and I have a metal plate in my head. I really, really like Lemon Meringue pie.
If any of you are within the earshop of my written words and fly a private plane (or small pubic plane) in the Summertime, summertime sum sum sumertime, (by the Jamies), watch out for hot air.
Because of the Corriolis effect, the Butterfly effect, the Greenhouse effect and the Doppler Effect, hot air doesn't hold as much air in it when it is hot air than when it is cold air.
Studies have showed there is more hot air when it's hot than when the Chili winds blow. Because the lift to thrush ratio is variegated, oftimes the pilot becomes the first person at the scene of aircraft accidents, which can be caused by stalling. Take note, soon to be ex-Sen Craig: There are worse things that can happen in a stall.
This have been a public service announcement.

There is backup QB talent out there. Leftwich is he hasn't signed yet. If I'm the Skins and I'm thinking positively ... playoffs possible. I keep Brunell, because he might be able to win a game if needed. And he has plenty of game experience to help Campbell with.
