Injuries
Santana Moss says he has a strained groin and would not have played if the Skins had a game Sunday. Says he is not sure when he can return to practice and will see the trainers when he gets back to town next week. (Players are off the rest of the week, just have to come in to lift once, but no more practice or anything).
LaRon Landry and Anthony Montgomery have sprained right hands/wrists but say they will be fine.
Fred Smoot says the swelling in his hamstring is finally diminishing and he will be fine after the bye week. Apologized for repeatedly saying he was going to play the last two weeks and says he misjudged how tricky hammies can be.
Marcus Washington says he dislocated elbow is still sore, and he suffered a setback in the Monday game at Philly, causing him to wear a bulkier brace. He hopes to be able to shed that brace in the coming weeks.
Phillip Daniels was able to play through a bruised foot - it was already sprained - but should be okay after the bye.
I'd keep an eye on Griffin too. I know that hip must be bothering him some and he banged up his ankle pretty good Sunday and played through it. Hard to see warriors like Griffin and Daniels staying healthy and they don't have much depth on the D Line.
Oh yeah, and for the lunatic fringe out there, last week I got home from the drive from Philly around 4 am and was up with my son by 7 and had to babysit him until 10 and then I went straight to Redskins Park and broke every piece of news about Thomas injury and worked the phones to get the details on the O Linemen they were bringing in.
That's why there wasn't much game review on Tuesday, becasue there was a lot of breaking news and I didn't have the time. Cause, you know, I was doing the job I get paid for.
Unlike a lot of people in Ashburn, I'm not playing politician, not trying to appease the masses. Oh yeah, and in the interest of full disclosure, I haven't been 26 since 2000, when the wisest, most astute owner in the history of pro sports was 35.
And, since

Mr. Lanfora:
Please sir, a little more professionalism from you. The complaints about the complaints are tiresome. We all have lives to live too. Children, mortgages, car payments.
I'm so tired of journalists who get to tell everyone else how to run things complaining when the focus is turned on them.
I enjoy your work immensely and appreciate your efforts.
But if you don't like criticism, get out of journalism.
Sorry for coming across brusque; but it's warranted.
And yes, this is my real name. I wouldn't dream of criticizing you anonymously.
For the others, fire away.

Saunders needs to get his arse out of the booth and onto the field.
I hate it when coordinators are up in the booth and then can't understand what happened on the field. This is not a video game. The coaches need to be on the field, with the players, feeling the flow of the game. Up in the booth he is completely out of touch with the game on the field and it shows (calling reverses; not knowing why Portis isn't in there). If he were on the field he could turn to his left and say "Portis, get the f--- out there."

Yeah, Danny Partridge was at his finest in that GMike interview. What a pompous ass. I just can't tell you how much it pains me to even see his snot-nosed face, or hear that whiny voice. No kidding, it's so bad, people here in Scottsdale (yes, I am a transplanted fan) ask me all the time: "how could anyone like a team owned by Danny Shiest-er."
Anyway, hang in there Jason.

Next year will be our year. I said it this whole off-season. During the draft and free agency we will address our D-line, get rid of the WR, and hopefully Campbell will be nice and well-rounded. This year is long from over but putting the WR in as a decoy sometimes will bode well for the completion ratio. Still, I am upset, just as all of us are. Hopefully ST will get 2 ints next game against Martz's cubs

After the bye, The Receiver can still sit on the bench, even if Moss is gimpy. Reche and ARE can run the routes. Moss can sit on the bench and help The Receiver write his resume.

I posted this right at the end of the last thread, but my timing is about is good as wierd al's play calling, and this sums up my thoughts thru week 3, so here it is again:
I said it last week, and I'll say it again right now. Nobody in the nfl is as good as they were last week, and nobody is as bad as they were last week. Parity reigns supreme in the nfl. Anybody can beat anybody on any given sunday. We all knew the skins had issues, and 2 wins to start were great, but increased all of our expectations beyond what they should have been.
Before the miami game how many of us would have been stoked with a 2 and 1 start. I know I would have been. Still in too much pain from yesterday to be happy with it today, but this loss will hopefully eliminate some of the complacency that was shown in the second half.
Posted by: nah | September 24, 2007 4:39 PM
this blog entry appears to have been cut off short or something at the end there.
and to whoever says al should be on the field instead of in the booth is 100% Correct. williams is on the field, saunders should be too. part of saunders is how he interacts with players in practice, but what good is it if he isnt there on gamedays to interact with them and show them some tough love

Why don't these same people ask why news journalists don't write positive stories about US Government officials regardless of the real situation ("Oh, I bet that reporter is a fan of Britan's Parliment and he's resentful and jealous of our country").

Posted by: SCSkinsFan | September 24, 2007 4:53 PM
Here we go again.....Do I have to come on here everytime you freaks get ready to jump off of a cliff!!! I swear, JLac and you other losers, next time I am letting you jump. Let's not get carried away. Who thought the Skins were going 16-0? That's what I thought? Back in August, who would have had a problem with the Skins being 2-1 going into the bye? That's what I thought. Yes, they blew the game, but that is how most losses occur in the NFL, people! Should it be excused, absolutely not. Everyone at Redskins Park should be held accountable for that deplorable second half, but why would you think this is the way the rest of the season will go? They played two good and half good games and a half of a bad one. I choose to believe they are the team we saw Monday night.
Now, there are problems. The Ladell Betts experiment needs to stop! No way in hell do you not have Clinton Portis on the field that last drive. Correct me if I am wrong, but the Redskins have exactly one running back who has a rushing td in every single game and he was on the frickin' sidelines? Joe Gibbs needs to fix this, he is directly responsible for that mess, my money says given two cracks at the goal line, Portis finds a way to get one of them in. Another problem is, the defense can't cover big receivers and big tight ends, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Dallas has the same type personnel as the Giants. Gregg needs to figure this out quick. Other than that, both the offense and the defense got their butts kicked in the second half. End of story people, the Skins still look like a playoff team, especially in the NFC.
Posted by: Will | September 24, 2007 4:54 PM

Posted by: Skinz | September 24, 2007 4:54 PM
There's the old standbye "job I get paid for" quote.
You know what, then stop doing the blog or stop complaining about not getting paid for it.
Every time someone takes you to task about something you write on this blog it's the same thing. Give it a rest already! You've done this for two years and people call you on it. Maybe for once, instead of calling people lunatics who disagree with you, you take a look in the mirror and say maybe they are right. Maybe I do have an axe to grind with the team and maybe I take that out on them whenever there is a chance.
Anyone who reads you, knows that to be true. Although the Washington Times loves you, b/c you single handedly increased their subsciption count.
Posted by: TheGuru10 | September 24, 2007 4:55 PM
Take a quick break from all the dull 'Skins talk. And, it is dull. The team lost. I swear, the way people go on and on and on it's a if they've never played sports or had a setback in life. People lose, teams lose, it's part of the circle of life. Hakuna Matata and all that. Mistakes were made, a game was lost. Nobody died (except maybe John from Herndon).
Get a grip folks.
One loss does not warrant "Fire them all!" just like one win does not warrant "Crown them!" How a man loses often tells you more about his character than how he wins.
And lest we forget, we are talking about a franchise that has done nothing for 16 years. They are the Arizona Cardinals of the east coast. That we even expect a win is something tantamount to a moral victory at this point.
Posted by: P Diddy | September 24, 2007 4:56 PM
"Care to explain that chat log the other afternoon! You didn't show up, but we'll catch you, Chester the Molester!!!!!!!!!!"
Chat log? I haven't been on a Post chat log since last year.
Let me repeat: I have no problem - NONE - with Jason criticizing the Redskins or anyone else. That's his job.
I do have a problem with him and other reporters who have a thin skin when the criticism is directed at them.
For some reasons reporters have the thinnest skin when it comes to criticism. They can critique others; but if other critique them, they get quite prickly.
Tough. If they wish to dish it out, they'll have to take it as well.

All I know is that JLC doens't seem to sweat it and he's been doing for a year now and unless you write the editors or contact the powers that be, it seems to me that its set up to be a fun 'service to the public'.
The comparison doesn't exactly translate IMHO

"I have a feeling SMG is going to be a regular up here... give it time"
No way, sports (the Skins) are a diversion.
I'm home with the flu and I do have a life to live.
Again, not to sound repetitive, the complaints from reporters (in all fields) when they are critiqued is silly. And Jason's kneejerk reaction when criticized is a prime example of it.
If the idea behind the First Amendment is to have a free and full exchange of ideas - good, bad and indifferent - then reporters should welcome criticism of their work.
I'm not attacking Jason personally. I'm attacking his professional work. I'm sure he's a fine guy, a great neighbor and all that. But his professional work needs some adjusting.
End of story (right).

SCSkinsFan,
They run it for the number of website hits that the blog generates. The more people visiting the website itself the more money they can generate from advertisers. Honestly, JLC does have a following and the blog does generate a lot of hits, so if he's not getting paid for it that's his own fault, not ours.

I have a baby, but I wouldn't use him as an excuse for being inconsistent at my job...if you didn't have time to criticize the team last Tuesday, couldn't you have done it on Wednesday? If you hate writing this blog so much, then don't do it, but really you come off like a teenager who just got dumped by his girlfriend and has a acute desire to bad-mouth her to anyone who will listen.
Many of us fans are in touch with reality...we don't need you to be so smarmy in pointing out the team's weaknesses.

Inigo, I think people lack perspective. 1990 was a tough season with a growing QB (anyone remember that Colts game where Rypien threw an INT to lose it with no time on the clock? The playoff game against the Niners?)
It's a quarterback's League. You go as far as your QB will take you. (excepting, of course, the 2000 Ravens)
Right now, we have a young, inconsistent QB who can play brilliant at times and poorly at others. Patience, patience, patience...

Posted by: Dorf | September 24, 2007 5:17 PM
we are 2-1 and thats in the bank....my repeated theme is we will go as far as the offense will take us....JC still misses some easy stuff, and under pressure needs to make quicker decisions....our defense is good but not great ....great defenses can get after the qb....we can't ...we are solid and will stay in most every game...get used to yesterday....if we improve offensively over the course of the year we have a chance in the nfc...to improve we need a contribution from another wr and JC needs more developement....Win or lose you are watching the future so stay focused on that...and that in the end is what is different about this team from all the other teams over the last 15+yrs.

DS: We give them unfiltered.
GM: What does that mean?
DS: Well it's not filtered by a 26-year old reporter that really doesn't know necessarily what's really going on. Doesn't necessarily meet with the coaches, the players, that doesn't have a clue but yet makes an opinion about a left tackle in comments that you say to yourself, 'You know, they obviously don't have a clue what's really going on.' So what we're delivering is the truth."

Bored and passing time before my flight this afternoon, and since I've reached the end of the Internets...here's a question for the hamsters:
"Favorite Super Bowl moment?" Doesn't have to be 'Skins related.
For me, it's "This one's for John!", Pat Bowlen accepting the Lombardi Trophy. I adored Elway (almost as much as I adore Favre) and was really pulling for the Broncos in that game.
Favorite 'Skins Super Bowl moment: Doug Williams accepting congratulations from his teammates upon learning he was named the MVP of the Super Bowl. I think I cried. I was 14 years old and knew even then how important that day was outside of sports. I make no apologies for saying that I would have cried that day even if I was 64.
Posted by: P Diddy | September 24, 2007 5:21 PM
The Redskins aren't controlling the message. They give you all the interviews unfiltered when the Media including the WashPo can only take 2 or 3 lines that they think works best with the story. I don't have a problem with anything of that nature.
Where the problem lies is when there is harsh criticism ala Steve Czaban. But, Steve might have been out of place. I to have been 'reprimanded' at my former job because I spoke up about inequities I saw and the head honchos told me I asked the questions in the wrong place at the wrong time. After reflecting on the situation, I agreed (somewhat) and realized I have to pick and choose my battles.
JLaC, you can't take on the owner, so be careful how you pick your battles. Both of you guys are right to a point, but you want to be the bigger person (no pun intended) in this situation. He was right that you (most writers) have never played football and that you don't know exactly what they are talking about all the time. You only go off of what your expert sources are telling you. Unnamed sources will be the death of us all..........
Posted by: 4th | September 24, 2007 5:22 PM
Gibbs needs to either turn it completely over to Saunders or cut him loose like Billick did with Fassel last year. I say let Saunders air the SJK'ing thing out. Especially with a depleted line that can adequately pass-block but can't zone-block on runs worth a damn.
But if you're going to play "Redskins" smashmouth football, do it, and do it consistently.
Anyone remember 2 seasons ago, home game (forgot against who), Redskins on the opposing 1-yard line, needing a TD. Handoff to who?......Sellers! Up the middle (fumbled after the play)...TD!

I spent the better part of the last 10 years hating Seattle. But as I get older, I realize that my friends here ARE my family...and the restaurants and bars (my two biggest passions in life) are much, much improved. I attribute my change of heart to old age. :-)
I'd actually say that food-wise, it's on par with DC (which is NO slouch in the restaurant department). Nowhere near NYC, SF, Chicago, or LA, but definitely in that second-tier of American cities.
Oh, and it's not the rain that kills you here, it's the darkness. In the winter, it doesn't get light out until 9am and it gets dark by 3:30pm. The rain is largely irrelevant, you just get used to it. Summers? Nowhere in this country is better than Seattle. Nowhere.

Since Gibbs' return in 2004, the Skins have lost 10 games when leading at the half (they led in about 24 games). Several of which where they had a 7+ point lead. I don't know how that compares to other coaches, but that seems like a lot to me.

Dorf,
With all due respect, I'm tired of the "pro bono" excuse. If your department chair says, oh yeah Dorf, I want you to keep a blog for that class you are teaching, you do it.
And you assume that the blog is now an "added duty" that we all get from our bosses. Either you do it, and don't complain about it, or you start looking for a new job.
No?
-SFSkins...
Ummm... No, actually. I'm a teacher and with everything we're asked to do besides teach, we have to be very protective of our time. In most places, the teacher contract says that if you are asked to do an extra duty, you get paid to do it.
That's why I started refraining from bashing Jasno's blogging.
I have a serious issue with "what he gets paid to do" and how he does it. I teach journalism and, IMO, he has flirted with outright bias and some sketchy reporting. I think he relishes the idea that he's beyond the reach of the corporate elements ath the park, but I think he may push too far to the other extreme.
And as for sween, I feel your pain today, sinsei.

not sure if this has been posted but ESPN did a story on the most hated owner, coaches, GMs, ect; and guess who made the list.
27. Daniel Snyder, Washington Redskins: The kid with the new toy from the start, Snyder has thrown gobs of cash around since the day he closed the $800 million purchase of the team and stadium in 1999. Like Peter Angelos' Orioles, though, Snyder's Redskins have suffered instead of benefiting from his largesse. That's what happens when you install puppets in your front office and make zillionaires out of past-prime veterans like Bruce Smith and Deion Sanders and natural disasters like Jeff George.

Should be noted that nearly all rich people are at least a little bit crazy. And NFL owners, being among the most exclusive of clubs in the world, are indeed a crazy lot. Georgia Frontiere alone would occupy several chapters of any book written about crazy NFL owners. By most measures, "Mr." Snyder is less crazy, more megalomaniacal, and probably more reasonable than the multitude of his peers.
That said, while I can understand the NFL's desire to bring reporting in-house (faux journalism being all the rage among corporate America these days), I am fundamentally opposed to providing a disproportionate level of access to real journalists.

Did any of you actually SEE the Snyder interview? While he did make that comment, he did not make it in an arrogant way....and he certainly did not name Jason. Also, there is a lot of truth to his comment....I've watched many shows where Redskins players or coaches are being interviewed and the reporters sticking microphones in their faces do look 26 - or even 19.
Posted by: Lisa | September 24, 2007 6:36 PM
Simple. Because an organization reporting on itself only reports things favorable to the organization. Truth takes a backseat to marketing. While sports is hardly what I would consider an "important" issue (only in Green Bay do fans have a financial stake in the performance of the team, after all), it is nonetheless a principle I believe strongly in. We wouldn't tolerate it in government, we wouldn't tolerate it in public corporations, and we shouldn't tolerate it anywhere else either.

35332 - Over here, teams don't have owners. Each team has a President, CEO and a Board of Directors. If they aren't performing to a desired level, members (season ticket holders) can call a General Meeting and have them voted out. I guess it's a little closer to the system in Green Bay.
Posted by: kost52 | September 24, 2007 6:45 PM
Diddy,
I'm not sure I understand. You're against teams giving one journalist more access than another to the team as a way of trying to buy better coverage? If that's what you're saying I agree completely.
It's the same reason why imbedding reporters with a military unit will almos always result in a favorable bias toward that unit. The imbeds won't be there long if they start telling the whole story.
That's one thing I respect about Jasno. He is definitely not a corporate guy. I do think that Jasno's a bit of a contrarian and has trouble accepting simple truths at face value. It's a trap that many journalists fall into. You can find an anonymos source that verify al,ost any position you want to take.

sfskin - I think it's naive to blame the result entirely on Global Warming. I think that what is just as important, is the fact that Nelson Mandela couldn't help out, because Mandela's dead.

Larry Bud - that wasn't me. Maybe SCSkins? I saw that and figured someone got it wrong as far as authorship.
Don't even get me started on job expectations for teachers and what we get paid for vs. what we don't.

IM - Congrats my man! Hope everything is well. So sween and IM had their babies. We are due in December. Who else was/is left before the SB?
SMG - Bringing the heat. Don't leave. I use to get banged up by the regulars and JLaC when I 1st started posting here regularly. I think it was because I didn't understand how a blog actually worked. But, I am now family. And I still call out JLaC as I see fit, such as this post......

sfskin - I'm not sure what Dubya's response was, but I saw some footage of one of the reporters he was speaking to, and when Bush said it, you could tell from the reporter's face that he was thinking "Huh? Did he just say....??"
Haha Hilarious!

I think this was a major slip of the tongue for George Bush. But not in the way you think. I think he accidentally showed what his intentions are once his term in the White House is over. He's going to run for Miss Teen South Carolina!
Posted by: kost52 | September 24, 2007 7:37 PM
Ok, what is the problem with unfiltered interviews. Go look at the CP interview on redskins.com....
That's a 3 and 1/2 minute interview. When you read the paper, you'll see maybe 10 seconds worth. The team is letting you view every question asked and the answers. Who can beef about that?

Posted by: BillyBob | September 24, 2007 8:41 PM
Reviewed the last couple of posts and threads, and -- if there are any lemmings left alive calmly gazing out over the Big Picture -- here's my two cent perspective:
1. The Skins are 2-1, which everyone would have taken in a heartbeat if offered prior to week one. Granted, we would assume the Skins lost in Philly. I don't disagree that how a team wins or loses doesn't effect things, but, at the end of the day, 2-1 and a bye week to heal and readjust is not a bad position to be in.
2. Furthermore, outside of the Colts and Patriots, no team and reasonable fan base expects a 16-0 season, or even 12-4. The Skins are what they are -- a young team with great talent that lacks experience and a recent winning tradition that inspires confidence and expectations. If RI Nation continues to insist on lurching wildly from one extreme to another after each week, pass me the Dramamine, please.
3. The only facet of this organization that DOES have a winning tradition is the coaching staff. It is absolutely fair to question them when something goes wrong, especially issues like time management, play selection, and personnel on the field. It is a specious argument to compare St. Joe's football credentials to Jasno's as some trump card why Jason should deign to ask the questions journalists are paid to ask. It's akin to not question Bush because he won re-election with more votes than any one in history because the journalist has never run for office and should defer to 54 million fellow Americans.
4. Jasno's supposed "attitude" was echoed today by none other than Bram Weinstein, the beat reporter for the Skins-funded XXX ESPN radio. He expressed surprise today that Gibbs "actually gave detailed answers" at his presser today vice the "usual fluff" and also said Gibbs was often "condescending" and thought the press corps didn't notice that he wasn't actually providing answers. The studio guys on the John Riggins' Show also blasted the staff for the debacle at the end of the game.
5. For Danny Snyder to bring up the age issue as a supposed reason why a journalist shouldn't be trusted is absolutely beyond the hypocritical pale. For him to then imply that only his controlled media tried to bring the "truth" to fans is similarly a mockery at best and ridiculous at worst. It's football, for God's sake, not national security. Snyder's shenanigans (and Bela-cheat's, for that matter) are insulting to a well educated fan base. Your methods and money have not consistently worked since you've been here, "Mister" Snyder. Playing the media card like some two-bit, scandal plagued politician will NOT hide this fact. If you spent as much time, money, and energy on containing your ego and finding a proper GM as you do playing fantasy football, sparring with the media, and threatening to send plasma TVs to players, perhaps the Skins would be further along.
6. The issue that undermines all others, to me, is this 7-headed Hydra of a staff that confuses itself and the players while failing to establish a consistent, clear team identity. The offense is so schizophrenic that it could take the field by itself and be shut down with an aggressive, phantom defense. Walk the talk, Joe.
7. All is not lost. Calm, calm -- everyone's calm but you. Keep that gaze firmly on that Big Picture landscape, my little lemmings. You can always still jump later. But, please, jump because you want to, not because some lunatic fringe sweeps you up and over.

As far as the redsksin go... I'm not feeling the potential so much anymore. And I really hate to say that. They ran the ball like weaklings... IF the O-Line doesn't step up immensely we are doomed AGAIN. Let's pray that Santana can be healthy and the O-Lin steps up... if they do that will likely open up many looks for Cooley... We need to cream the Lions!

Five straight wins on the bounce and I'm still 100 pts short of Oz Oranje though. I got 131 last week and my captain didn't even play (v. Persie). I love that EPL league.

Lisa, winning cures all. i rember boden(broncos owner) was the most hated owner in the league or at least in denver and after they won a couple of SBs everyone shut up.
No one is going to change danny not even the press. skins will win. sooner than later.
at least the skins don't have jerry jones as an owner who actually thinks he built that 3 SB team.
btw, i've done 180 (not the first time up here)...after hearing that Weird Al didn't know that Portis wasn't in the package/play he called.
also Riggo was not being overly critical of the coaching staff. he blamed most of it on execution and he even liked the end around. so that made me feel a bit better.

BTW What exactly is a "spiner"?

think dumass meant spinner. spinning our poor play to make it seem good.
Posted by: Anonymous | September 24, 2007 10:02 PM
Brent Spiner played Lt Cmdr Data on Star Trek the Next Generation.
Is a "DC Spiner" somehow who is an android? There are plenty of pod people in DC no doubt but androids? Does this mean I'm an android? The Skins are androids? If they were wouldn't they be indestructible and therefore never lose?
How awesome would that play calling be?
St. Joe - "Number 1 engage. Make it so."
CP - "The plasma conductor has to hold one more play and that we can jump to warp speed." (He's obviously Jordi with the visor on his helmet.)
Soups - "Sir I think we can take on the Klingons if we use the photon array."
Hmmm who would be Counselor Troy? Her role was to always state the blatantly obvious.
When facing a hostile alien ship - "Captain I'm sensing danger."
Sheesh I totally just revealed myself as a TNG dork didn't I? Oh well.
Posted by: sfskin | September 24, 2007 10:07 PM
Disappointed with the outcome of the game, but thankful that I was actually able to watch the 'Skins here in the 'Ville. Anyway, here's my take on the game.
CP & Betts should've had their number called more often.
Moss didn't take that last hit at the end of the game well at all. Maybe if his groin wasn't bothering him, he would've been able to make that one catch in the 4th quarter, but should of, would of, could of... you have to make those easy catches too man
ARE = H-E-A-R-T. Dude leaves it all out there.
The Receiver - Hey, at least you got some camera time on the sideline. How's that last album working out?
Cooley High - Did they leave you on an island blocking Strahan by yourself? Absolutely unreal.
Soupy... throw the dang ball dude! Stop being so hesitant and playing like a robot. PLAY the game and have FUN.
Maybe the D would be better off not getting any turnovers at all. They won the first two games that way. J/K. They made Ward & Shockey look like superstars. I had a bad feeling about that one.
Area 51, where are you? Left in Plax's wake?
Frosty Pro Bowl bound??? Keep it up Holmes.
That's all I can think of for right now.
Peace
P.S. Jasno, you don't babysit your own children.

Posted by: kost52 | September 24, 2007 10:17 PM
"I think there was some pressure," McIntosh said of the team trying to be 3-0 at the bye week. "Everybody was talking about trying to be 3-0, especially coming off an emotional win over Philadelphia.

Beautiful gray blue sky, beautiful moon, soft evening air about 60 degrees. Everything sharp and clear in the air.

Thanks to all with well wishes... 4th I didnt know that you were expecting!!! I have been really behind on the RI nation, traveling for work, baby-having and the end of my quarter at work. Plus most of my free time has gone to watching the Skins in the past few weeks.
I know I've mentioned this before, but my wife and I had a daughter in 2005... right before the 5 game (6 including playoffs) winning streak. In fact the streak started here in STL, at a game I was at!!! Anyway, seems that we should have a bit of luck on our side with me having a boy this year and all. My wife got a picture of him in the nursery at night with his Redskins blanket instead of the standard issue blanket, its the funniest picture ever! Him sleeping with a bright B&G blanket next to like 10 other babies with pink and blue footprints on their white blankets. Anyway, I got a kick out of it.
P Diddy, I'm staying at the Wynn in Las Vegas in a few weeks, what restaurants did you enjoy there?
Posted by: Inigo Montoya | September 24, 2007 10:51 PM
Interesting....on Redskins Radio today...when Bram was going on about CP not being in on the goal line series, Larry Michael said he thought CP was hurt and that was why he was not in the game. Very strange since no one has mentioned that. Bram even asked Larry about that - if that is the case, why has no one said anything? Larry did not elaborate and maybe he is just guessing but then again he is very tight with Cerrato.
Posted by: Lisa | September 24, 2007 10:52 PM
Lisa - a bunch of us starting with dcsween were wondering if that was the reason he was on the sidelines.
But the question is did he take himself out or was he pulled? Not sure if the team will ever tell us. Remember Brunell and his shoulder.

Absolute greatest NFL note of the weekend
CBS NFL insider Charley Casserly offered this gem on Sunday.
"Thursday night, a memo went out to all 32 teams which said, no longer will the cheerleaders be allowed to warm up in front of the visiting team locker room or do their stretching in front of the visiting team locker room or they can't go in the tunnel anymore. The reason - some players felt they were being a little distracted."
Posted by: Anonymous | September 24, 2007 10:59 PM
CP probably was going to let Betts have it.
Thinking it was a sure thing. Weeeell, I guess there is a problem with letting them make the call.
