Randy Thomas - Torn Triceps
It may not be as severe as this usually is - a torn triceps is often season ending. Will have to get an MRI to know, but this is certainly not good news for the Skins.
A right side of Wade/Fabini is not what anyone imagined.
Will post more if I get it.

If they have to put Randy Thomas on IR, then it opens a roster spot for another WR.
Posted by: talent evaluator | September 17, 2007 9:42 PM
You can only plug so many holes... This is getting ridiculous. I guess the older bodies are wearing down or something...

Not if the muscle rolls up. That it's pretty obvious

Okay, what kind of miracle trade are they gonna pull off for a guard if Thomas is out an extended period? Fabini canNOT be what we're stuck with.
Posted by: JustMe | September 17, 2007 9:47 PM
I believe Ray Lewis actually doesnt have a torn tri. THat was the initial report, but I heard him say it was just a bad bruise the other day. Who knows!

Adam
Posted by: EaglesFan | September 17, 2007 9:49 PM
Actually, the person making the torn triceps diagnosis on Ray Lewis was Dr. Ray Lewis....He said something like, "It's torn, I'm done." Turns out it wasn't and he wasn't. He should sue himself for malpractice.

Moss. Bringing it.
Campbell. Staring down his receiver like it's a Britney train-wreck.

sfskin - our backup QB is AJ Feeley. Unless, D Mac completely loses his leg, I'm keeping him on the field.
However, maybe going at bit more to Brian Westbook would be a good strategy, Andy?

The Skins must get a contract done with Keydrick Vincent the guard cut by Baltimore. They need this guy no matter how major or minor this injury to Randy Thomas is. Jason LaConfora said that Keydrick wants to come to the Skins b/c he would be able to stay close to home.

Posted by: Cindy's boy toy | September 17, 2007 10:35 PM
I'm really liking the offense's development.
1. Passing looks good, minus JC's short range issues. Moss has dropped the dropsy and ARE seems not to be a one week fluke.
2. When is the last time Skins had a QB who could run for 10 yards off a scramble?
3. Two headed RB monster.
4. Ragtag O-line seems to be holding up for now, but is a worry.
5. Shawn Suisham. 'nuff said.
Need to work on:
1. Tickytack penalties.
2. Too many drops.
3. JC floats short passes.
4. Time management from St. Joe & The Geriatrics (sounds like a 50s swing band)

Just left the pub to retrieve the laptop.
What a first half.
Yes, Campbell's touch is great and Cooley/Campbell was reminiscient to Monk/Rypien.
All of this while watching the game on a 35 foot screen housed in this beautiful dome in N. Portland:

22 rushes, 21 passes to this point in the game. Good balance. Need to complete some stuff deep to loosen up the rushing game.
Let's go D. Another 3 and out.

Of course the instant replay helped us in the '90 playoffs in Buddy Ryan's last game.
Hope you Skins fans remember the play that I am talking about...

Posted by: Cindy's boy toy | September 17, 2007 10:36 P
The receiver will only see the field when the 'Skins are up by three TDs. That won'te be tonight. I thought they were using Thrash as the third receiver tonight.
Posted by: talent evaluator | September 17, 2007 10:40 PM
Incorrect. Ramsey never heard footsteps and always held onto the ball WAY too long. Campbell is seeing the blitz and going to his hot read

The commercials come as a welcome break from the four booth mouths. Oh, and it's TV. If you have four guys as ugly as them, then show the cheerleaders.
Posted by: talent evaluator | September 17, 2007 10:54 PM
Stealing signs isn't cheating.
Videotaping the signs being given is cheating.
Why?
Because there's an explicit rule against it.
You can argue the merits of the rule, but there is a rule and the patriots broke it.

Posted by: Stumptown Chris | September 17, 2007 10:55 PM
Skins' games (wins) always have this weird juxtaposition of having dominated the whole game but never quite ever closing the door....
Why can't we just roll like we did on Denver every game? :)
Posted by: HaikuMan | September 17, 2007 10:55 PM
Yes Pucillo is there but he plays a key role in the jumbo package as an extra lineman. Keydrick can start for this team. Lefotu is a practice squad player. We need to sign Keydick Vincent.

Overall, besides the D-Line not doing that well and the O-Line depth, one has to have high hopes for the skins.
Posted by: SP | September 17, 2007 11:17 PM
I believe we just might have ourselves a QB and a kicker. I don't even know how to react to that.

Touchdown, Redskins!
C'mon, D, stump the Eagles for another two possessions. Maybe that's the tactic - let them work and drive their way all the way down the field, then stump the offense, leaving them worn out and only getting 3?
Posted by: FlimFlam | September 17, 2007 11:18 PM
we gotta keep em out of the endzone...no big plays
Posted by: hailbg | September 17, 2007 11:18 PM
Very nice.... Double Bonus too... on my fantasy team...
Although, just a mental note.... Do not dive roll into the end zone on shoulder. PLEASE! :-)
Alright tough D... let's go!

Posted by: FlimFlam | September 17, 2007 11:23 PM
If I was Reid, I would find a way to get the ball in Westbrook's hands this play.
Just saying..
Posted by: Cindy's boy toy | September 17, 2007 11:23 PM
NFL credits the sack to Laron and the fastest 300 lb man.

Props to JLaC for identifying a major issue to watch: ability of Redskins D to get off the field on 3rd/4th downs. Eagles have converted about 6 in a row now....
Posted by: HaikuMan | September 17, 2007 11:30 PM
Wouldn't want to take that quote out of context Ku.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Posted by: sfskin | September 17, 2007 11:32 PM
OK, time for the offense to grind the ball downfield, eat the clock, and get us in position for one more score.....
Posted by: FlimFlam | September 17, 2007 11:32 PM
Time to kill the clock with our Offense and put this game away with another TD... This game is in our hands...

L2 that was all you
Posted by: Cindy's boy toy | September 17, 2007 11:40 PM

Posted by: E in VB | September 17, 2007 11:41 PM
McNabb has learned the safest place to throw the ball: near 3 Skins defenders.
Posted by: HaikuMan | September 17, 2007 11:41 PM
I just sharted
Posted by: Kev | September 17, 2007 11:41 PM
Those (pass and next play call) were to "intersting" choices. What the SJK was that SJKing crap?
Adam
Posted by: EaglesFan | September 17, 2007 11:42 PM
I think we need to see a preposterous punt now.

L2 is coming on the blitz. Mark my words.
Posted by: Cindy's boy toy | September 17, 2007 11:42 PM

Posted by: JustMe | September 17, 2007 11:42 PM

Posted by: Skins fan in Philly | September 17, 2007 11:44 PM
NICE Sean... there you are...
Posted by: E in VB | September 17, 2007 11:44 PM
Perspective - iggles need a TD and the 2 point conversion just to tie the game.
I'll take the position that we are in ever time.
Posted by: Cindy's boy toy | September 17, 2007 11:45 PM
SP the ref's give the QB the benefit of the doubt if Sean Taylor bends him in half
Posted by: stevie in gp | September 17, 2007 11:45 PM
