Injuries
Portis and Moss were not practicing at all. Smoot (hamstring) seemd to be restricted in what he was doing, but, we don't get to see the real part of practice so we don't know anything for sure until Coach Joe speaks after practice.
Landry, who cut his hand before the bye, was working with the trainers a bit. Griffin (hip), Daniels (foot), Washington (elbow) and McIntosh (pinched nerve) all seemed to be doing regular work, but again, we'll see what the word is after practice.

Jasno - Is McCardell suited up yet?
Posted by: bigfish | October 1, 2007 5:40 PM
Jasno,
Can you please find some B Lloyd quotes/reaction to the signing of McCardell? Does this guy have a clue yet???
Posted by: Ricky Bobby | October 1, 2007 5:46 PM
Nope. No clue here. Just $10-meeeelllion dollars!
Posted by: B Lloyd | October 1, 2007 5:52 PM
BLloyd knows what is going on. The problem is that I don't think he cares too much after cashing that check for 10 mil guaranteed. Can you really blame him?

True story: my wife doesn't follow the Skins as diligently as I do; she caught a recap of the Gints-Skins game, saw what she perceived to be the new uniforms and literally cried. I assured it was just a throwback uniform of a horrible, horrible time in Redskins history (clothing-wise).
That's loyalty right there.

WE ARE GEELONG, GREATEST TEAM OF ALL!!
Woohoo! Go Cats!!!
It's Tuesday morning, and I'm almost done celebrating. What an amazing weekend, I'm all flued up because I spent Saturday night running around in a Geelong jersey and footy shorts, and my head's still thumping because of the drinking, but it's all been worth it!!
Everytime I see a report or something on the news, I still can't believe it, we actually won it!!!

Jason,
Can you give us an update tomorrow that explains some of this stuff? We've been hearing for 18 months now that the 900 lb. playbook takes at least a year to learn. We've also been hearing about how hard it is for wide receivers and quarterbacks to get on the same page, since the QB often throws the ball even before the WR makes his cut. So how, then, do they expect the new WRs to make a contribution? Wouldn't you think they might have thought about this in oh, say, January?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Stumped - Nice work mate!
So what's been going on in the past few days, McCardell in, Stoutmire out?
So what's the perceived depth chart?
-Moss, Santana
-Randle-El, Antwaan
-McCardell, Keenan
-Caldwell, Reche
-Thrash, James
-Receiver, The
Or Keenan and Reche reversed?

Maybe St. Joe should have run a Steelers-like camp with constant 2 a days - then all of these easily-injured types could have been put on IR and wouldn't be wasting important roster space.

Some trash talking is in order just for shti and giggles.
First of all we are so going to beat Detroit! Why? Because I said so. Yeah that's right I SAID so go ahead pull apart my argument and rationale I double dog dare ya!
Second - you know what Cowpaddies go ahead, get big heads. Big giant puffy heads. You know what those heads are gonna look likecome November 18th? The muthaeffin Hindenburg!! Yeah that's right I'm makin' an historical reference in my trash talkin! You know why cause I'm supersmart cause I'm a Skins fan unlike you straw chompin', big hair sportin', giant ugly belt buckle wearin', worst president ever producin', smoggiest city in country livin', clodhoppers!!
You beat the 0-4 Rams. Ooooh wow you're sooooo good and big!! Oh and the Bears you beat them too? Wow now I'm really scared! Eeek!
You know what until you face the Pats you got zero cred! Z-E-R-O. Why? Like I said cause I said so!

P.S. - exactly what is a clodhopper?
P.P.S. - I'm hoping I bring out the fun although I fear I'll bring out the fuglies.

All-time least favorite Redskin? Does Snyder count. How about Vinny. Or the old ball coach. If not, I'd have to go with Heath Shuler.

Groins and hammies my friend, groins and hammies.
Yes.
McCardell in, Stoutmire out
So what's the perceived depth chart?
-Moss, Santana (My best receiver in Fantasy land, ouch!)
-Randle-El, Antwaan (Now the#1 target downfield)
-McCardell, Keenan; Too early an arrival to bring him in to the game for more than a bit part, but who knows
-Caldwell, Reche; see above
-Thrash, James; May replace Moss this Sunday according to the depth chart. But is he one of those core Redskins that is really a third rate talent?
-Receiver, The; According to Lions fans we need speed to burn them deep. He is fast. I think they'll play him because they have to.
I say we bring in a few Geelongs to liven thing up out at Ashburn and talk smack to our boys till they're ready to eat raw meat.

"Clodhoppers are heavy, leather broad-bottomed shoes worn by farm persons. The broad soles of the shoes permit the foot to span lumpy clods left from plowing and other cultivating. Hence, there was born the idea that the shoe enabled feet to hop over clods." from Wiki.
Thanks, I always enjoy your posts. I really chuckled at the "white flag".

Eyup. Dude swears he's the second coming of Jim Brown when you listen to him talk.
Maybe that's why he should just shut it and play.

BTW, on 980 this evening, Jerry Coleman said that whenever Taylor had to run a little distance, he was limping very badly (bad hamstring).
