Byner Update

From Maske in Indy: Former Redskins running backs coach Earnest Byner is scheduled to interview with the Tennessee Titans on Friday. Byner is to interview with Titans Coach Jeff Fisher to be the team's running backs coach. Fisher is searching for a replacement for Sherman Smith, who left to become the offensive coordinator of the Redskins, and also intends to interview one or two other candidates.

BONG!

It's hard not to love him Kost. With all the alcohol and drugs he's consumed he should be long dead, yet somehow his appearance has barely changed in the last 30 years!!

Not only that but singing with the microphone so high! It's ridiculous that he's been able to do that.

I want to see Eat The Rich again now!

I think it's what gives his 'singing' those distinctive warm tones Kost. That and gargling gravel and broken glass I think!

Has anyone out there tried to pick up a raisin off of an ice cude with your buttocks?

Just checking.

BONG!

The bottom line on the NFLN said that we're only $103 K over the cap, with two other teams over, and they're further over than use.

Posted this on the last thread and got no responses. Does anyone think this changes things as far as free agency goes? Who to let go? etc.

Posted by: scampbell1975 | February 21, 2008 4:49 PM

Good for Byner! The Titans could use some help. Vince Young can't be their only running threat.

I hope Jake Long gets charged with domestic abuse while intoxicatedly breaking the 100 mph mark coming home from a night club in which he knocked out 2 bouncers for not letting him fondle a pair of strippers. Maybe then his stock will fall far enough so we can grab him with the 21st pick.

I'm still reading through the days news, but it's after 4pm, and Randy Moss hasn't been franchised (has he??) that means he's hitting free-agency yeah??

Posted by: kost52 | February 21, 2008 4:50 PM

Chris "I think it's my groin" Brown was tearing it up for them a couple of years ago, what happened to him?

Posted by: Redcoat | February 21, 2008 4:51 PM

Long is going to be a player in the NFL. Who-ever drafts him is getting a top notch left tackle.

No thanks on R. Moss.

scamp, is there a list of all the acrobatics we performed to get that close to the cap? Did we miss some restructuring news or something?

Posted by: NateinthePDX | February 21, 2008 4:53 PM

I thought it was that sort of 'combine' too Nate...

I bet some of those dudes would suck at driving a combine.

Haw haw! All them reps on the bench press but you can't harvest a single row of wheat, boy! Haw haw!

Also, Hee haw!

I've looked and couldn't find anything. only thing I can think of is since we have no one at the park to give us updates, we're just all in the dark.

Good news for Coach Byner, hope he gets the job. I understand being a position coach in Nashville (or Seattle) is a spring board for becoming a coordinator (or head coach) according to certain front offices around the league (league sources say).

Im a michigan fan and have watched Long for a little while now, he just dominates people on the line, he is going to be a force, would be nice if he fell but even if goes out and kills someone tonight i doubt he would fall far enough so we could get him.

Posted by: SAK2 | February 21, 2008 5:01 PM

ask and ye shall receive, scamp -- it makes more sense now how we got so close to the cap, with Jasno's post...
