Bye week not until week 10. That's rare for this organization. Hopefully not too many key injuries early on in the season.

How about some REAL Redskins news for a change?
Posted by: F the Schedule | April 15, 2008 2:11 PM
Wouldn't that be 3 out of the first 5 are Division games?
Also, why does Zorn desrve better than the Giants on opening night? I think it will be a great opener for him.

A quick glance, I may have missed, but the rams are the only team we play that is coming off a bye when we play them.
Not including Dallas... we'll BOTH have a bye week prior to playing the 2nd time around.

I heard that Jerome Mathis getting along fine with the guys, everyone has been real welcoming ... except Rock Cartwright, who repeatedly has been hiring strippers to show up at the door when Mathis' lady is home. Also, Rock has been filling out tons of magazine subscription postcards to Mathis' house with "bill me later" checked.

Posted by: dcsween | April 15, 2008 2:18 PM
Is this the pregnant one? The one he was accused (or not) of choking? She might want the strippers to keep Mathis off her. And hopefully some of the magazines are those ones for new mothers. "Baby's first week at home" sort of stuff.

You have so nailed it TALKSHOWHOST...Jasno is an Idjit. He don't know about time travel...or TWO GAMES ON TWO DAYS or any of that good stuff which you posted, after getting it from EXTREMESKINS which got it from the Redskins official radio mouthpiece...which GOT IT WRONG!!!

This schedule is awful! The NFL sure does make it hard for some teams to be successful. (You can be sure that Jerry Jones and Bob Kraft got exactly the schedule they wanted.) What do the Redskins get? A 6-10 "thank you" from the league.

We got 3 primetime games, about as many as we usually get. Go to a bar that has the ticket on Sundays.
Posted by: | April 15, 2008 2:42 PM
This blog has unfairly categorized the schedule. The Redskins are not the owners of the schedule; rather, they are shareholders in a league where the schedule is made. The Redskins will continue to play games and expand parking costs when other teams are trying to cut costs and make it easier for fans to come to games. In an industry where others are contracting, the Redskins are expanding.
Further, to say that Ceradoh and Zorn are overmatched is unfair. Simply because neither is qualified for his position doesn't mean the team will draft a chooch at 21. The team will mismanage the draft on its own merit.
We here at Redskins Park are frankly disappointed with the assertions of the Washington Post and its blog readers.

Ok let's not get carried away so early and talk about how tough the schedule is as we know...teams change from year to year and a tough game last year may not be this year and vise versa...and as usual I expect our so called local experts too say right off the bat 5-11, 6-10 or 7-9 guess these are the same folks who will always say the glass is half empty. No why you can't believe them or any others? Not a won predicted New England to go undefeated in the regular season and not a one had the Giants in let alone winning the Superbowl...it's a crap shoot every year. So the way I see it we got just as good a chance as anyone else.

Cheating Wife 1
A man notices his wife of twenty three years changes from being computer illiterate to an Internet addict in a matter of six months. His trust for her made him ignore the long hours she spent online with her "new friends" and even sending them gifts. Later on, her time for their children suffered too. It turned out she became obsessed with other men, even male prostitutes who solicit online.
His wife had become a totally different woman, influenced by the dark and perverted world she had embraced. She left her husband and family but not before doing as much damage as she can, making hideous accusations and horrid remarks to other family members.
---------------------------------------------------
I still have nightmares about that fretful night I ventured downstairs, only to see my wife screaming "GIVE IT TO ME NOW HAMSTERS!!!!" at the screen with La Canfora's face on it. He had this nerdy looking smile with some hideous tie to match.

If the maroon and black can somehow pull off just one of those early division roadies, we might be able to make something of this season.
3-2 after Philly
6-3 at the Bye
10-6 overall
Wishful thinking I'm sure...

The hope here is that the Jints are "feelin' themselves" in that home opener and Zorn and Blache smuggle in a very different ballclub on offense and defense which -- after the flyover and fireworks and ring ceremony and pomp and circumstance and the singin' sergeant and all that other garbage -- punches them in the nose and takes their lunch money and gives their delightful home fans something to boo about.

Insulting each other because you don't like their meaningless predictions for next season (or their meaningless predictions for the draft, or coach, or.....) is starting to get old. Nobody has any idea how hard the schedule will be, who will end up being a star player, how the new offense will work, or anything else. I'm pretty sure that's why they play the games. So watch baseball for the next 4.5 months and wait until real games start to get worked up. Then you can fling insults in broken English to your heart's content.

Easiest schedule the Skins have had in years -- but we knew that before we got the dates. The AFC division we play is one of the weaker ones. The NFC division we play is one of the weaker ones.
The schedule isn't going to make the Skins 6-10.
The Skins made a choice not to upgrade the team in the offseason. Instead, they made a choice to go in a different direction. An odd mix of rebuilding and continuity, nominally divided up between offense and defense. Plus they had a lot of momentum from the team leadership, and that was replaced.
The Skins may go 6-10 ... but it won't be because the schedule is too tough.

I'm making a fresh vat of Kool Aid. . . it's been too long.
I boldly/stupidly/foolishly/with gusto/ballsly/wearing burgundy colored glasses predict that we will go 10-6 maybe even 11-5.
Based purely on it being April, I've deliberately gone cold turkey on fubol for a few months so I can replenish my silly, naive, Kool Aid swiggin' view on our beloved Skins.
Oh and Dec 28 at SF - I shall be there unless armageddon or the equivalent get in my way.
I'm happy to "host" another west coast shabingus to pair with Seattle.

The only problem I have is that we get Seattle on the road! Damn, how many times do we play at Starbucks field????

As I've been MIA - is there any kind of consensus amongst the hamsters about the draft?
Every time I tune into the 'news' I hear different things from WR to DE to DB to O-line.
Do we have a dream pick like TheRon?
Posted by: sfskin | April 15, 2008 5:52 PM
Let's see who we draft before I start making predictions about their final record next year.
Posted by: rb | April 15, 2008 5:52 PM
The opener will be huge! Barring pre-season injuries, our O-Line will be tested early, which is a good thing. Normally, I would be skeptical with a new coach, but the Redskins have many returning players, and a defensive scheme in tact. Zorn may bring more of an open offense. The Redskins have a chance to make the playoffs this season. Barring major injuries, I can't see them being in the basement of the NFC East.
They must draft well though.

The Browns get FIVE prime time games, including THREE Monday night games. I think U.S. Americans may have found ourselves a new "America's team" ... or, at least, it won't be Dallas anymore. Nothing inspires pride in America, and fear in the hearts of any opposing team, like an all-orange helmet. [I mean, you look at it and ask, "how much more orange could it be?" ... none more orange.]

++++I have nothing against the regulars but there are people like you who make me want to vomit all over my monitor.
"Sooooooo easy to criticize the media, aint it?"
No its not easy to criticize the media or you. But I, like you, do enjoy it, jackass.

WOW... You got lots of cojones dude. Lessee... I'll REALLY REALLY insult a poster who posts under his regular handle but OH MY GOD I better not put down MY own handle.
I'll put down something really clever like "Not Doucheczar." That sound you hear is ribs all around the country cracking from laughter...
I'm sure you are used to puking, so feel free to whoopsis over your monitor on my behalf. There...feel better? Oh WAIT!!! No. there may be trace elements of DNA! Clean it up.
If you're a Snyder toady in fear of his paycheck, I guess I understand.

+++hey corky, sorry for not proofreading the text from the links to other articles.++++
No biggie TSH. You just copied what you saw. so did Extremeskins, who copied it from the Redskins official radio site, which screwed up.. I just get a kick out of people who rip on the media and then screw up themselves.
++++I was trying to post something for everyone to discuss here. we've got to have somethign to discuss, as we never know when we will get anything. jasno needs to offer some kind of olive branch to the skins and maybe he'll get some sources again and he can feed us with some info.++++
I don't know Jasno from Adam, and whatever the reason, the Blog is in a slump. The inmates are running the Asylum.
But what Jasno needs to do is not offer "an olive branch" but develop some new sources, or wake up his old ones. If you follow what the Redskins have done media wise, you'd see that what they apparently want is to totally dominate information. restrict it to PR stuff on their website, their radio station. etc.
++++Your rant did make me laugh though. you're like what p00lman would be if the doctors at the asylum took him off the medication. and i don't mean that as an insult. p00lmans maniacal posts always brings a smile to my face.
Posted by: talkshowhost | April 15, 2008 2:48 PM++++
Hey, I've followed this team since when they were winners. What else do we have but to rant these days? Theyv'e stunk up the joint since '93, and ranting is good for the Soul.
And believe me, I respect you more than geeks who rip me in their finest high school verbiage, then don't even sign their own handle.
So--sorry for calling you a Rocket Surgeon. But you probably know that's not REALY an insult. The paranoid doofus doesn't, but you do.
