Thoughts as I received the order

How am I going to tell Mom? All she hears about are the reports of bombs and downed helicopters. The last thing I want to deal with is telling her I have to leave.
What am I going to do with my recent condo purchase in the District? I just purchased it in April and have only lived in it for 3 weeks! I'll have to rent it out while I am gone. For that matter I guess that I will sell my truck, too. I might as well take the cash tied up in my truck and put it toward the mortgage. A mortgage for a 1 bedroom condo in DC is daunting to say the least.
Who will I have look after the condo? Management company or friend?
How do I tell work I am deploying? I will have to withdraw my recent application for the open management position. Just as I thought I could focus on my career, I have to put it on the back burner again. I really enjoy what I do for work. I can see myself advancing over the next few years, but now those dreams are just going to wait until I get home. I guess I will go visit John, my boss, to let him in on the news.

Did two tours there, one as a Reservist and one as an unarmed contractor. Later pays better but it's best to go armed.

I rented my place out while I was gone, try for your condo.

God Bless.
