McKenna Hired As New Spokesman for Bill Clinton
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's (D-N.Y.) presidential campaign has hired a spokesman for would-be First Man Bill Clinton. Matt McKenna, currently the communications director for freshman Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), will officially become the former president's press secretary on Dec. 17, traveling to all the early voting states and - if things go well - beyond.
McKenna, a darling of the Capitol Hill media, takes over for Jay Carson, who left the former president's office to become a spokesman for the senator's presidential campaign. McKenna, who has been happily living in Montana instead of Washington while working for Tester, says he'll be employed by the Clinton presidential campaign, not the (Bill) Clinton Foundation. But his office will be in Harlem, where the former president works.

And is Mary Ann Akers paid by the Clinton presidential campaign or the Clinton Foundation?

'A darling of the Capitol Hill media' - seems to be a job qualification for Democratic press spokesmen. Just as a lengthy Democratic resume (re Joe Lockhart, of Kerry/Mapes fame) is no bar to employment by the mainstream media. MSM people 'get' everything except themselves.

Who is Matt McKenna? If he is so media darling, why is he living in Montana when his senator is D.C.? Doesn't everyone deserves a spokeperson, Gingrich had one who now works for Washington Times. If Matt McKenna is so good, how come only a junior senator who is a "day-old" senator could hire him then?

McKenna is a native Montanan and worked the campaign for Jon. He returned to Montana and Tester's operation supported the decision because, thankfully, some folks care more about the home town media than about the bright lights of the big city.
He's also, if I remember correctly, a bit of a snowboarding buff. 'Course, snowfalls being what they are, spending a winter in Harlem isn't the worst news ever.
