Obama and Clinton, Wrestling In the Raw

To win a presidential primary in Pennsylvania, there are things one must do to earn the support of a certain crucial voting bloc. Which is why tonight's three-hour special episode of World Wrestling Entertainment's "Raw" will feature Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.

Clinton and Obama, as well as John McCain, the presumptive GOP nominee, have agreed to "get in the ring" tonight to fight for votes in tomorrow's primary. The real Smackdown, of course, will be between Clinton and Obama -- who have tried everything from bowling and eating hot dogs to drinking local beer and bragging about shooting guns to woo voters in the state.

Now comes the last resort: wrestling.

Unfortunately, they won't be wearing costumes. Nor will they really be wrestling. But they've agreed -- or pounced at the opportunity, we should say -- to appear on WWE to appeal directly to the network's devoted viewers. (And there are lots of them -- more than 16 million each week, including over 5 million who watch "Raw.")

In an animated promotional must-see video -- which you can watch above -- neither Clinton nor Obama are wearing wrestling gear. Though if outfits alone decide the match, Clinton is the winner. While Obama is depicted looking very cool in casual pants and a sports coat, a much-younger-than-real-life looking Clinton is wearing slinky red dress pants and a matching blouse with you-go-girl, man-stomping red high heels.

To hear what they have to say, you'll have to tune in tonight at 8 p.m. ET.

Gary Davis, WWE's vice president of communications, asked Obama and Clinton to tape a video to air on the show that will "address why our fans in Pennsylvania should vote for you and why you would be victorious in the ring." He added, "While we hope you have fun with this message, we also want our fans to learn about you and your direction for our country."

MY FELLOW "BITTER", STUPID, WORKING CLASS PEOPLE :-)

If you think like Barack Obama, that WORKING CLASS PEOPLE are just a bunch of "BITTER"!, STUPID, PEASANTS, Cash COWS!, and CANNON FODDER. :-(

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

Best regards

jacksmith... Working Class :-)

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you don't know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to try and defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering...

You see, back in 1993 Hillary Clinton had the audacity, and nerve to try and get quality, affordable universal health care for everyone to prevent the suffering and needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of you each year. :-)

Approx. 100,000 of you die each year from medical accidents from a rush to profit by the insurance, and medical industry. Another 120,000 of you die each year from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don't die from. And I could go on, and on...

Yeah, because if Hillary were as good at enacting change as she claims, we'd be looking back at universal health care since 1993.

I've though of Hillary as being like the boxer Bernard Hopkins in his fight with Joe Calzaghe because of his charging with the intent to head butt, then grabbing an arm to keep from getting hit. When he started falling behind on points, he pretended to be hurt by a low blow when a glove brushed his crotch while he was pushing down the head of Calzaghe. After the fight, even though Calzaghe had been the aggressor throwing more punches and scoring twice as many hit, Hopkins whined about how the judges cheated him when he lost. Hopkins had a well deserved reputation as a dirty fighter, but acted outraged that Calzaghe was able to turn the tables on him.

I agree 100% with Jacksmith. 'Pretty words' are not going to save this country from it's downword spirial. Experience and a 'tough as nails' attitude have a way better chance of doing the job and doing it right. I don't think either Hillary or Barack are going to be strong leaders, but Hillary has experience. If you were a hiring manager, who's resume would look better to you? And if you say, "Barack Obama's", you're lying!

If you think Hillary, who's been in bed with big money for 35 years, can change her stripes and start looking out for the working class after she's elected, you might be Jacksmith.

Your glorious Clinton administration's chief accomplishment was NAFTA and the advancement of "globalization," which is just another word for giving big corporations as much power as they want to subjugate and enslave ordinary people around the world. Global justice should mean ensuring that workers around the world are afforded the same rights as Americans have traditionally had. Instead, it means that American workers are on a rapid path to join the sweatshop conditions of the third world. And guess whose buddies and contributors stand to profit from that.

Hillary voted for the war when it was obvious to so many of us that it was bottomless pit (me and Barack were saying that months before Bush went in!). Hillary has played along with the War on Terror since day one, fanning fear for advantange, while Barack is the only candidate who isn't running on the fear ticket.

Barack is the only candidate who's talking to America like we're grown ups, who's opting out of the tit-for-tat sound byte slugfest style of discourse.

If he were as "experienced" as Hillary, he would have tossed Jeremiah Wright to the curb according to the Washington Insider's rulebook, but he recognizes that almost everyone has valuable positive qualities that we need to harness to turn the country around, and that if you cast aside everyone who's said or done something regrettable you end up with NOBODY at the table except insipid spineless insiders and gameplayers. (Why doesn't someone ask Hillary why she kept Bill around after what HE did...?).

So thanks, Jacksmith, for reminding me so vividly exactly how thrilled I am to support Barack Obama. An extra minute of experienced leadership is something America cannot afford.

With love,
DetroitSubway

Jacksmith,
You speak of Bill Clinton's environmental legacy and Hillary's 'role' in it...wasn't he the one who on his last days in office closed logging roads to private citizens, ultimately creating thousands of acres of inaccessible forest.
"For a century, the U.S. Forest Service suppressed minor wildfires rather than let them burn out the underbrush in National Forests. As a result, the General Accounting Office (GAO) told Congress in 1998, "vegetation accumulated, creating high levels of fuels for catastrophic fires."
In 1999, the GAO told Congress that because of the way the Forest Service was administered by the Clinton Administration "many acres of national forests in the interior West may [still] remain at high risk of uncontrollable wildfire at the end of fiscal year 2015."

Jacksmith ---- yeah, you got a lot to learn!

Wes, she did not just fail once... look at her campaign: it has stuttered from Iowa and now is really in red! Wait until May to see how bad her account books are with all the spending in PA! I predict she will have to loan herself money again before NC and IN. Look at the squabbles in her campaign; the choice of loyalty over professionalism; how she plunged from being the favorite to win to now this! She has shown us in her campaign style how she intends to run the government! We saw the two of them run their campaigns and Barack ran a much better campaign.
