I am Jewish and I really don't get the "oy vey" part of the headline of Akers' story. In fact, I find it rather offensive. She obviously has no idea of what she is saying. OY VEY (IZ MIR) in Yidish means "Woe is me!" For Clinton and McCain perhaps, but not for "Jews for Obama."

I am a supporter of Sen. Obama for the presidency and I am very happy about how well he has been doing. I am also glad that people are beginning to recognize that Clinton's supporters do not have the right to speak for all Jews about the Jewish vote, and the Republican Jewish Coalition certainly doesn't.

The appropriate phrase, upon hearing about Jewish support for Obama is, much more appropriately, "Gott ze Danken!" (Yiddish) or (in Hebrew) BARUCH HASHEM!"

Too many Israelis, and even more of their supporters in the US, seem to think that the Israeli-Palestine conflict has to have a zero-sum solution. Obama may well be a leader who can help devise and implement a win-win solution (even if it is not ideal).

Honestly speaking, I sincerely feels that the Jews will come together and rally around Obama despite the rhetoric. Obama has been as sincere as one can be, as his sister had confirmed in an interview surrounding him. I can relate to Obama speaking the truth, even if it hurts. I am so much like that myself. I would rather be real when dealing with people, life is too short for games and tommorrow isn't promised to none. (4) Which of Mr. Malley's stated views do you agree with/disagree with? What are your own views on these issues?
(Read checklist of views and ask Senator Obama to explain his position on each item).

I think the problem with discussion of Israel is that it is so hyperbolic - and many people approach the issue with such hatred and bias that it is hard not to take a defensive posture on the issue. I only really feel comfortable criticizing Israel among people who support its basic rights.

I was a Clinton supporter and I am now taking a very hard look at Obama - I want to believe him, because in general I want to believe he is the genuine article - if he is he could be one of the best Presidents we have ever had.

My problem is the company he keeps - Rev Wright, some of these left-wing pseudo-intellectuals and armchair generals who are "objective" in the sense they have never lived under the constant threat of annihilation.

I am also concerned about exactly what both Wright and the Hamas spokesman said - its the political season and he is just saying what he has to.

Obama seems soft on Iran - my girlfriend is Iranian, and she knows what that regime is like - crazy like a fox and aggressive as hell - look at what is happening in Lebanon now.

Diplomacy with them has to be backed by a big stick and the will to wield it. I don't want another war - but I also don't want a president who will get pushed around - and what I want to see from Obama is that he will push back HARD if needed.

I am a Jewish Democrat and I support Hillary Clinton. But let's not forget that years ago Jews highly doubted HRC's support of Israel. In 2000, she only got about 55% of the Jewish vote in her first run for for the Senate - that's about 25% LESS than most Democrats get. Hillary earned the trust of Jewish voters and so will Obama. If Obama gets the nomination, I will vote for him and encourage all my Jewish family members and friends to do the same thing. They are not crazy for Obama, but they don't want McCain in there.

{JERUSALEM - Sen. Barack Obama's Chicago church reprinted a manifesto by Hamas
that defended terrorism as legitimate resistance, refused to recognize the right
of Israel to exist and compared the terror group's official charter - which
calls for the murder of Jews - to America's Declaration of Independence.

The Hamas piece was published on the "Pastor's Page" of the Trinity United
Church of Christ newsletter reserved for Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., whose
anti-American, anti-Israel remarks landed Obama in hot water, prompting the
presidential candidate to deliver a major race speech earlier this week.

The revelation follows a recent WND article quoting Israeli security officials
who expressed "concern" about Robert Malley, an adviser to Obama who has
advocated negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the
terrorist group.

In his July 22, 2007, church bulletin, Wright reprinted an article by Mousa
Abu Marzook, identified in the newsletter as a "deputy of the political bureau
of Hamas."

According to senior Israeli security officials, Marzook, who resides in Syria
alongside Hamas chieftain Khaled Meshaal, is considered the "brains" behind
Hamas, designing much of the terror group's policies and ideology. Israel
possesses what it says is a large volume of specific evidence that Marzook has
been directly involved in calling for or planning scores of Hamas terrorist

States. It is believed he was trying to gain a visa through several Illinois
