EnviroCAB Starts Its Engines
Small business EnviroCAB is rolling out its new fleet of environmentally friendly hybrid taxicabs Monday with an event in Arlington County's Courthouse Plaza in Virginia.
The firm has spent the last year navigating its way through government bureaucracy to get the O.K. to start business. It will rev up its operations with the launch of its fleet of 50 owner-operated "carbon-negative" vehicles at the event.
The company offsets its own emissions by working with a Maryland nonprofit that calculates enviroCAB's hybrid vehicle emissions and the accompanying cost to offset (or even decrease) that pollution. EnviroCAB's carbon emission offset costs are then directed to clean energy utility companies that Carbonfund.org of Silver Spring selects.

I think the news media should give a much attention as possible to any and all hybrid and green energy initiatives.
How about a small business incentive for buying these hybrid vehicles?
