United Wins Easily
In its first preseason match against an MLS opponent, United defeated the Columbus Crew, 4-2, today in a 120-minute match in Bradenton, Fla.
Luciano Emilio scored twice, and Jaime Moreno and Christian Gomez had one apiece.
Troy Perkins played 60 minutes in goal, and Ryan McIntosh and Matt Nelson (see earlier post) logged 30 minutes apiece.
Newcomer Kasali Yinka Casal, still working himself into game shape, played the final 10 minutes.

If the triumvirate can score that easily, it really won't matter who we have in goal.
Then again, it was the Crew we're talking about.
Yinka only played 10 minutes of 120? He must be really out of shape or Soehn hasn't found a spot for him.

Not many other details. Everyone played in a 120-minute game. All of the DCU goals were scored in the first 60, I believe.

Did Boz, Gros and Carroll play?

I'm puzzled as to why Casal would be so out of shape? Did I miss that he hasn't been training in England?

maddening little taste of what's to come. Man I hate the offseason.

Do you have a scoresheet available? When were the goals scored? How long did the starters play? Nice to see that United won easily:)
