Hey! Who dat!? You think you can just waltz in here and post in Goff's blog unannounced? While you're here, Goff needs more inches on the print side, dude.

You related to Luciano Emilio?

No Where to Run, No where to Hide. Not even in the locker room. Dude from Valencia who did the punch and run must have thought he was safe in the locker room....until Inter's goalkeeper came through the door. Off the hook. Everyone gets a red card: players, coaches, ushers, police, UEFA officials, parking attendants, rats in the stadium tunnels. Everyone.

Señor Garcia-Ruiz,

Please send Steve and one more reporter to China for the Women's World Cup. You did a terrific job in Germany and we who subscribe to the dead tree version would like to see more of the same reporting and blogging on soccer and it's environment.

Frankly, Steve's weak coverage of Sabadell's dramatic rise through the Spanish third division could pretty much force us to make big changes in Soccer Insider in the near future.

Can you explain to us why you kiss your ring after every goal you score? I mean, we love it, but I'd just like to know why.

Send the same set of reporters to the Women's World Cup reporters. Tell them that the Chinese make better sausages than the Germans.

Once again, Argentineans prove they are the worst losers...

Hah! You saw the Mexican national team a few weeks ago refuse to shake hands with the US after a friendly? You saw Marquez take out Cobi at the World Cup in Korea/Japan? Wait until you see what Chivas do when DCU knock them out of the CCC.

Marquez trying to kill Cobi was a highlight of the Cup.

For those of us who didn't see the Inter-Valencia game, can someone explain what sparked the melee, who was directly invovled, etc? Until I know more, all I'll say is that I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, to see that such an egregious case of poor sportsmanship involved an Italian team.

It might have been Inter, an Italian team, involved in the brawl, but whomever watches Italian football knows that the last thing Inter has on their squad are Italian players.

Valencia and Inter had the exact number of Italian players on the pitch during their game on Tuesday: 1 each.

Btw, there was some bad blood between Inter and Valencia from their recent matchups in the UEFA and Champions Cup, Inter always having had the upper hand. So it was kinda normal that the bad blood would boil over eventually.

You know why the Inter players were so angry.

The long-standing unspoken agreement among European footballers that, when pushing and shoving and insulting each's others heritage, don't touch the hair and definitely not the face (Zizou excluded, of course).

I'm not sure what our young friend from Valencia should be most embarrassed about: that he, a friggin unused sub, sucker punched a guy and broke his nose; or that he was caught on tape running away so fast and hiding like a complete sally.
