FA Cup Flashback

If you didn't cough up the bar/restaurant cover charge or the pay-per-view fee to watch Saturday's FA Cup final, here is all you need to see: Giggs's no-goal and Drogba's winner.

(FYI, the match will be shown in its entirety Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Eastern on Fox Soccer Channel.)

on a totallu unrelated topic. I just got done watch the Real Madrid match. After they scored the game-winner in stoppage time. Ray Hudson delivered probably the funniest line in sports broadcasting I've heard. Ready for this?

"Orgasimic jubiliation!!"

classic! maybe we should get him to do color with Dave Johnson. Rongen, Lagerway, Harkes, etc. Not that good. Harkes' problem -- If I had a dollar everytime he used some form of the word "technical," I could build DCU a stadium. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

In one of the slo-mos on YouTube, you can see that Giggs pushes the ball across the line after he and Cech are tangled up on the ground. So the ball never crossed the line, legitimately--only from Gigs pushing it over with his right hand. You could consider calling Essien for the foul from behind that sets the play off, but not likely at this level.

Wynalda, O'Brien, etc. take a lot of heat for their calls, but does anybody besides me think those English announcers sound exactly as stupid as them? the guy with the stronger accent is clearly Wynalda. or maybe i just woke up too early this morning.

the German guy's pretty good, though.

FYI, FSC has a long and storied history of cutting matches down to fit the two hour window when the match is not on the channel live. However, I know they did not cut down the rebroadcast of this years UEFA Cup final, at least the first time they replayed it last Wednesday night. I'm just saying one match is the exception that makes the rule at this point. Perhaps a sea change has gone on in the thinking at FSC headquarters. At any rate, I'll allot the 3 hours necessary to record, as opposed to the scheduled two.

Thx,

Jay!

Delightful touch by Drogba. Wembley looked great.

Quite possibly the worst football match I've ever seen. Chelsea are a cancer to English football.

The top video sounded like whoever recorded it did so using a camera and not straight from the TV.

It takes two to tango, ya know. Mooooo had just as much to do with the affair as the Mighty Blues. You sound like a sad MU fan. I'm soooo happy. The best team in England and Europe won.

funny that the "Best Team in England and Europe" couldn't even win their own league nor make the final in Europe.

"You sound like a sad MU fan."

I don't support either one of those corporations.
