We'll miss the Nichole Cup this year, which is too bad because it is a lot of fun. My wife and I went to the first one and it was not only a good 'team day' type event, but that one also had a number of Chivas USA (like EZ) players there too.
Spent way too much money in the silent auction to snare a RSL away jersey and a ball signed by their initial team. But all for a good cause.
I'd recommend all who can to attend. And bring your cameras.

Watch out for a very deep Hokie men's team this season. Now that I was able to get through saying that with a straight face, I wouldn't be surprised if the VT women's team pulled a few upsets this season.

Freedom currently up 2-0. Why isn't there a play-by-play thread for this?
Posted by: sitruc | August 5, 2007 6:34 PM
Let's make this the thread. At the half, Freedom dominance near total in the middle third of the field. Atlanta can't get the ball forward except on breakaways, and the Freedom defensive speed shuts those down. Meanwhile, superb Freedom flank attacks on the right side. Could easily be 3-0 if not 4-0.

So...um...Freedom won 3-1.

WOO-HOO! Two championships in two leagues!
Were all spectators on the near side?

What was the reasoning behind the Washington Post Sports TV Listings on Sunday NOT showing the W-League Championship as an option under the Soccer heading?
