Video Killed the Blogging Star

Awaiting the MLS expansion draft this afternoon.

Getting fired up for the K.C. Wizards' open tryout.

Searching for highlights from Venezuela (5) vs. Bolivia (3) and Colombia (2) vs. Argentina (1).

(Found 'em.....)

Check out the goal -- and the goalkeeper's celebration -- during Mazembe of Congo's 2-1 victory over Astres of Cameroon.

So *that's* why keepers' pants are padded...

So you have to be 18 and have health insurance to even tryout for KC...I don't think that's so open

ps: I'm changing my signed name from Andrew to ahelms because there are too many Andrews posting these days

rough night for jaime...went on at 82 min with a 3-2 lead, 8 min later he walks off with a 5-3 loss

Keepers are just not normal.

Colombia looked great in the 2nd half (didn't see the first)

The genius of holding the open tryouts (up to 300 people) and charging $125 per person, is that they raise enough cash to pay for two or three developmental player salaries!

Maybe all those Moose fans can hold a killer bake sale to pay his salary for next year?

Wow! That ref's assistant must've been feeling the pressure to keep quiet on the last goal... he had the entire Colombian squad on his back... bad call! The Argentines got robbed!

Nothing worst could have happened to bolivia, constantly leading each time, but losing the lead, until a injury to the keeper caused the score to go from a tie, to a loss of 5-3. The last goal we had a FRIGGIN' DEFENDER IN GOAL CAUSE WE BURNED ALL OUR SUBS!!!

That keeper must have ruled "Crab Soccer."

Posted by: delantero | November 21, 2007 10:26 AM

I would not have gotten injured.

Nope, if you check out the first link and stop it on 9 seconds you can see that the ball is away and the Colombian forward is onside...great call by the AR.

Looks like the GK needs to have his anal glands expressed.

I could have sat all week thinking of a way to celebrate a goal and wouldn't have come up with that.

Regarding the KC "Open Tryouts" ...

Curt Onalfo and Kris Kelderman will always find a way to make cash from soccer. The $37,500 they'll make from the tryouts is a drop in the bucket compared to the money they have made in McLean.

The third Bolivian goal was sweet. Too bad it was in a losing effort.

That keeper's celebration may have permanently fried my brain.

San Jose is charging $150 for their open tryouts. Their requirements are being 16 years of age or older and in good physical condition

This is way off topic but I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else and how I get it fixed. Soccer Insider selected off of Post Sports section or out of my favorites file opens with "What Offseason". In order to see newer posts I have to go a Post Sports, Blog and then select the more recent posts separately in order to read new posts. Is this my problem or a general problem? How do I fix it?

Shocking defending by Bolivia...new GK next time around? Gave up the lead 3 times...

"...Soccer Insider selected off of Post Sports section or out of my favorites file opens with "What Offseason". I suspect you have a bookmark saved with a specific post (i.e., 'What Offseason') in the URL. You can try editing it to read something like http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/index.xml - OR - you can stop using a trifling browser like IE and switch to Firefox. That will allow you to subscribe to the RSS Feed, throw it up on your browser's toolbar and it'll reload automatically whenever a new story goes up.

Is the Expansion draft at 2:30 going to be televised on TV or MLSNET.com?
