D.C. United has finalized the acquisition of forward Franco Niell from Argentinos Juniors. An official announcement is expected soon.

Also, a source tells me that Colombian defender Gonzalo Martinez will arrive in Washington this weekend to join the club. Peruvian goalkeeper Jose Carvallo is scheduled to arrive today or tomorrow.

The pieces are beginning to fall into place.....
