USA Roster Update
As expected, Bob Bradley has recalled 21 players from the previous training camp to begin preparations for the USA-Mexico friendly Feb. 6 in Houston. Because of club commitments, the prominent European-based players will not arrive until a few days before the match.

What no Jozy?!!! There should are alot of goalkeepers on that roster. But our forward selection looks shaky to say the least. This is Twellman's final chance to show and prove for the nats, its a big chance for Rolfe to show what he is made of.

Quoted from the link:
"Missing are four members of the Under-23 Men's National Team - Jozy Altidore, Maurice Edu, Sacha Kljestan and Marvell Wynne - who will participate in the U-23 camp being held from Jan. 24-Feb.3 in Bradenton, Fla."

excuses, excuses..
I'd like to see mapp get more time, though. I remember him impressing me at some point in the past.
just an aside, does anyone have a link to what the the new united kits look like?

Given what's here BB will be calling in forwards (2) and midfielders (2-3). I say he doesn't even bother calling Gooch or Boca given the cb's he has here. Last year he called 14 from Europe and two came so don't look for too much help for this roster.

Interesting that the USSF lists Jeremiah White's hometown as DC, not Philly. He left DC when he was 5, according to Steve - an indisputable source.

Looking at the roster, I was stunned to see that Parkhurst was now in Norway -- wondering when that had happened? Then, I looked at the line above, which had Pat Noonan as still with the Revs. I realized they screwed up the roster info, but they sure had me going there for a moment:
Noonan, Pat M 6'0" 170 08/02/80 14/1 Ballwin, Mo. New England Revolution (MLS)
Parkhurst, Michael D 5'11" 155 01/24/84 3/0 Providence, R.I. Aaelsund FK (Norway)

The new kit has a somewhat retro look to it. Makes my 05 kit look more current!

USSF messed up the club affiliations. They've been alerted to the error.

I remember a story that in the 1990 World Cup -- against Austria, I believe -- the Americans were intimidated by the size of the Europeans. Standing in line together before going on the field, all of the Americans had to look up to see the faces of the opposition.
Assuming today's roster is correct, there are 12 US players who are 6' or taller, including several at 6'4".

Come on, Hesmer, Wells, AND Cronin over Rimando??? Rimando was superman last year! What does the guy have to do? Ridiculous...

Bradley is on something. Why would you have Califf on any lineup ever? He doesn't even belong in a pick up game on the Washington Mall with a bunch of scrubs. Wake up Bob!!! Otherwise here is what I predicted lineup:
Donovan Twellman
Mapp White
Beckerman Clark
Corrales Moor
Conrad E. Robinson
Guzan
