Mina Signs....

.....with Dallas after all.

The sides apparently overcame their differences today, allowing Ecuadoran forward Roberto Mina to sign a one-year contract. He will be on loan from a Latin American club with an option to buy.

Two Western Conference clubs had expressed interest in purchasing Mina's MLS rights from Dallas, and although a trade remains a possibility, Mina is scheduled to join FCD in Brazil this weekend for training camp.

Thanks to Steve and the Bogman.

Boss T-

Dallas has a partnership with Atletico Paranaense. This is also why they have Ricardinho.

Boss T,

They have a partnership with a club down there (CAP, I think) and will have an exhibition game against them as well as train with them.

Ricardinho... and Andre Rocha. Rocha's going to make a huge impact this year.

Whats the whole situation between Shevchenko not playing with Chelsea? Is that a potential excuse to come to the States. My prediction is that he will come to D.C. All the other teams have filled there DP slots. But then again I don't think they need another forward . With two young trialists.

I just would like to thank you, mr goff, for being so diligent. I know it is your job and all but it is tough to be a soccer fan in the US. I really feel connected to a team (and a sport) I feel very passionately about.

I think Shevchenko has already gone on record saying he'd only play in NY or LA

all the DP spots are not accounted for at all so there would still be room to wiggle for many teams.

That being said, he is on record saying he would go to NY or LA. I'm not sure that his wife living part of her life in DC would be enough for him to want to play there. I mean, she left there a long time ago for a reason one would imagine.

Sheva ain't coming to these shores -- at least, not for a few years. Beckham really has confused some of ya'll. He's a freak who wanted to conquer Hollywood. Anyone else who's still capable of starting for a quality European national team isn't going to squander his talents in the MLS.

Not to mention the financial aspect. Throw $2 million dollars a year at Sheva, and he'll say pay me in Euros.

Is it me or is the turnover of MLS rosters higher than usual this year? Thanks Steve for keeping us commected...great article today on Santino.
