Morning Kickaround
I will have some mild D.C. United news soon, but for now.....
*The Pan-Pacific nonsense tournament got under way in the wee hours (Eastern time) last night with artificial turf, a crowd of only 15,000, David Beckham unexpectedly playing a full 90, a dreary effort by the Galaxy in a 1-0 loss to Gamba Osaka and a three-goal first half for Houston in a 3-0 victory over Sydney FC. Consolation and championship on Saturday night. The Galaxy will then head to Asia for the next stop on its Beckham marketing tour.
*The Philadelphia Inquirer says the final touches are being made on the big MLS expansion announcement. Chester, here we come.
*Remember when DCU thought it would be a good idea to take a look at Gazza?
