Pachuca, Boca, River Highlights

The CONCACAF Champions' Cup came to a close after 46 years with an entertaining second leg finale last night. Pachuca defended its title with a 2-1 victory over visiting Saprissa and will head to Japan again for the Club World Cup in December. The Champions League, which launches this summer, will replace the Champions' Cup and run concurrent to the European version.

You missed posting this super goal by Bruno Marioni in Atlas' 1-0 victory over Lanus in Argentina.

It would have been great to see a MLS side in the Club World Cup. Even if the MLS side didn't advance that far at the Club World Cup it would still be great to hear their name mentioned in the same sentence with the likes of Manchester United/Chelsea, Boca Juniors/River Plate, etc...

Pachuca is the class of the region, in my opinion. I have no problem with them representing CONCACAF. DC United had their shot at them and the better team won. Even Saprissa could not pull off a home victory against them. Pachuca have beaten the best in the US (DCU, Houston) and Central America (Saprissa) over the past couple of years. Until somebody steps up and beats them when it counts, they are the worthy champion.
