Greetings, Jedis

Welcome to "Sith" Sense, washingtonpost.com's resource for fans counting down to "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith." I'm Jen Chaney, movies editor for post.com, and I'll be moderating all the Padme madness for the next couple of weeks, leading up to the "Star Wars" release on May 19.

Like Obi-Wan Kenobi, I believe in democracy. This is your blog and that means I want to hear from you. Share your "Star Wars" memories, your waiting-in-line plans, interesting links and any other Jedi mind tricks by sending e-mails to movies@washingtonpost.com. Obviously I can't post everything, but I hope to update this blog at least twice a day with some of the more compelling and earth-shattering news and information from fans.

To kick off things on the Dark Side (but not in a John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band sort of way), here's a link to another blog, provided by my post.com colleague David McGuire. It's called "The Darth Side: Memoirs of A Monster," and is written by Darth Vader circa "The Empire Strikes Back" era. An excerpt: "Calrissian balked when I ordered him to take Leia Organa and the wookiee to my shuttle, but I could steer his mind with my pinky. It does not require much concentration to puppeteer fools." This is either a. tangible proof that this person has nothing better to do, or b. a work of genius. You make the call.

I FIND IT

I find it amazing with all the craziness in the world today, war, traffic and high gas prices that society has taken a back seat to the Star wars

I do believe if the Star Wars movie was not released 19 May. /May 18 2005.1201 am sorry for almost missing that, it would not send us back to the Ice ages. Just imagine the (Star wars withdraw) It would crash the Internet, fans would burst in to fiery balls of anger and depression, Drive to George Lucas house to demand and answer...

Any thing Short of aliens landing at the white house will not distract for The Star Wars Even if the aliens landed the fans of Star Wars would proclaim that the movie brought them to earth...
