Rave Reviews, Spielberg Weeps
The Washington Post's critics won't weigh in on "Revenge of the Sith" until next week. But other reviews are trickling in. Rotten Tomatoes has launched an "Episode III Tomatometer Watch" that's tracking the media's many critical evaluations of the movie. With 24 reviews logged so far, "Sith" has a 92 percent "Fresh" rating, which is pretty good. If I had a tomato that was 92 percent fresh, I'd definitely eat it.
Steven Spielberg liked "Sith" so much, he cried when he saw it. Of course, he could be saying that because he's trying to help out his friend George Lucas. Or he might have wept because one moment in the movie was totally ripped off from "E.T." It's hard to say.
By the way, in case you missed Saturday's Washington Post, William Booth wrote a big piece about the unveiling of the movie at Skywalker Ranch. It provides some nice details about the San Francisco compound, where grapes for Francis Ford Coppola's winery are grown and there's a body of water called Ewok Lake. Personally, I'd much prefer to swim there than in the Jar Jar River.
