Fired because snow kept you from getting to work?

On the long list of reasons to hate the snow, add this one: unemployment.
We're hearing reports that some local workers were fired because they didn't make it to work during the last round of storms. We wonder: what have you heard? Do you know of anyone who was fired or faced disciplinary action because they couldn’t shovel out? Anyone whose name slid down the list of promotions because he or she didn't make the trek to the office?
If so, please let me know at vargast@washpost.com or leave a comment below.
