Pick of the Day: You can't make this stuff up
Here's an idea for a movie script:
Scene: CIA headquarters, Langley, Virginia. March, 2003. Several tall, thin, greying men wearing thin ties and dark suits sit around an oval table. The light is low.
CIA Officer 1: "Let's make a video of Saddam Hussein having sex with a little boy and broadcast it on Iraqi television."
CIA Officer 2: “It would look like it was taken by a hidden camera. Very grainy, like it was a secret videotaping of a sex session.”
CIA Officer 3: "Or let's create a fake news bulletin and have an actor playing Hussein step down and cede power to his son Uday. The Iraqis hate Uday."
CIA Officer 4: "Forget Saddam. Lets get Osama bin Laden. Let's make a video of him getting drunk with his pals."
Pretty fantastic, huh? Except, um, according to Jeff Stein, our own SpyTalk blogger, it's apparently true.
