50 Cent In Clinton's Club

Sen. Barack Obama has The Big O -- that's the omnipotent, omnipresent Oprah Winfrey -- on his side, but it's looks like Sen. Hillary Clinton has a pop-culture A-lister in her corner, too.

50 Cent. (That's F-I-D-D-Y. Not F-I-F-T-Y.Trust us.)

Asked if the multi-platinum selling rapper is endorsing a presidential candidate in this week's issue of Time, 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, said: "No, but I like Hillary. I think she was already our President once."

It's not only the candidates who are campaigning on an early primary calendar. The celebs are, too. In the past few months, a number of Hollywood A-listers have thrown their support (and money) behind the candidates, particularly Democratic front-runners Clinton and Obama. Clinton bagged the endorsement of NBA superstar Earvin "Magic" Johnson. But Obama drew the support of Halle Berry, the first African American to win an Oscar for best actress. Clinton has Madonna, who in some circles is a cultural goddess. But Obama's got Morgan Freeman, who has played the role of God. Some celebs simply can't make up their minds. Tom Hanks has given money to both Clinton and Obama.

And with the 50 Cent endorsement going to Clinton, should Obama expect a call from Kanye West? At the moment 50 and West, the country's top-selling rappers, are duking it out on the Billboard charts.

There may be people who select a presidential candidate based on of a celeb endorsement, but I am not one of them. I can think for myself. I read about the candidates, their voting records and their histories.

Hillary Clinton is just no good. Her past is so shady that, were it not for her high status, she would have been in jail long ago. As well, she is a member of the CFR, which ought to disqualify her. As it happens, most of the candidates are CFR: Obama, Edwards, Giuliani, Romney, Thompson and Biden. This is just no good. I would not vote for any of them.

Of the non-CFR candidates, I would not mind Huckabee, Kuchinich or Ron Paul. Of these only Ron Paul would end the Iraq war ASAP and restore the Constitution. Dr. Paul does not need any celebrities: he has what the others lack: a clean background and no affiliations to a one world government organization. He has my support.

Go FITTY, you are a real OG (Old Gansta) and you know for sure how to play the game... OG's have to stick together as far as the game is the matter, aigth?
And you're rigth, she used to be president back then...Bro you're good. You are in the political section of CNN, WhaPo!!!
Geez, this campaign is getting so messed up. Looks like some people really need some "Black" endorsements...
Now, for those you do not consider the most important election of our time to be a "game", let's keep the OGs away and vote for a real, trustful, intelligent president. If you are intersted in what rappers think on politics, you migth need to check more on the Kanye, Common, type of rapper, for they usually use that side of their brain more.

OK, well first of all, I think if Hilary Clinton becomes President, this world is coming to an end! God only knows what is going to happen next...... It's so stupid! I do like that the celebs are giving their money to good causes! I am also happy to hear that an African American man is running for president and is making an effort to make things right in this age and society. As far as fiddy goes, that's just stupid. He is just doing this for more attention for his record sales. Don;t get me wrong I like him, I just think that is satupid! And, go Kanye!!!! lol-I want him to support Obama. Go Obama!!!!!!!!

The true and sad reality is that no african-american could be elected in the bible belt. Obama is a nice guy, but inexperienced, african-american and lets not forget that his full name is Barack HUSSEIN Obama. He has a Muslim name, so really, do you really think that the Repubs are not going to exploit that to the max? Think again!

Democrats need to think like the Repugs do, think PARTY and electablility.

Be SMART, VOTE for HILLARY, the only candidate that knows how to beat the hate filled Repugs!

And remember, it takes a Clinton to clean a Bushes mess! ;-)

To aboyzboi. How soon people forget all the lying and corruption of the Clintons!!
What good is intelligence if you don't use
it for the betterment of the nation??

All the Clinton's have ever done is for their betterment!! I guess some people
never learn!!

Who cares who any black rapper endorses!!

Posted by: SCSOCAL | September 17, 2007 11:34 PM

Hillary cannot be stopped, don't matter who endorses her. Finally, after years of BUSH BS... we can get real intelligence back in the White House. 2008 - -HURRY!

Posted by: aboyzboi | September 17, 2007 10:11 PM

Who CARES? If you're going to be talking about what "black" rappers endorsed candidates, talk about someone other than a guy who loves to talk about how he was shot 9 times and whose music is ....bad. Try Common, or legit and positive rappers, if you must cite them. Obama 08.

The Saprano campaign add with Bill did it; and was a stroke of genius that put all Original Gangstas (O.G.s) on Clinton's roll call. The hard core O.G.s like Hsu, O.J., and now 50 cents certainly endorse Hillary. She has earned the Gangsta vote. They just gotta show love to one of their own. I can't wait 'til FIDDY drops a slammin campaign CD in Hillary's honor. Keep me posted...
