Giuilani Adviser Says 'Too Many' Mosques in U.S.
A top national security adviser to former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani said in an interview that there are "too many" mosques in the United States and urged a more aggressive law enforcement approach toward them.
Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), who serves as the senior Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee, said Thursday that his comments to the Politico website were taken out of context.
"I stand by everything I said other than the fact that the Politico totally took it out of context," King told the Associated Press.
The comments were condemned by Democrats and by a leading muslim group. A spokeswoman for Giuliani did not respond to requests for comment Thursday.
In comments to reporters Thursday, Giuliani defended King. "I know exactly what Pete meant. I knew before I even heard the clarification. What he means was that there are mosques in which violence is preached. I know that from my own investigations of Islamic terrorism. I also know that there are many mosques in which it isn't."
King's comments come a day after Giuliani proposed allowing Israel to join NATO. During a trip to London, Giuliani said that inviting the Jewish state into NATO would help to fight terrorism.
"They are a democracy," he said in an interview with the New York Times. "They are an ally of the United States. They would have to decide whether that would be in their own national interest."

I have been to many mosques in America and have not heard anything alarming. Mr King and Mr Giuliani have been to almost none and have imagined a lot of alarming stuff.

Courting Israel (and Britain) is a the act of a desperate man. Call it chutzpah, ego or hubris, it's the same thing: Giuliani can't get adequate support at home, so seeks it in foreign quarters. No doubt his CFR membership card get him access, but the sad fact remains: he's still a thug who cares little about anyone but himself. He would make an astonishingly bad president. One can only hope that his scandalous past emerges in the press in time. Oh wait. They are CFR too, mostly. So it is up to the readers of little posts like this to visit sites such as Rense.com and search for Giuliani. You'll find plenty. Or, if you like reading books, might I suggest "Nasty Man" by Mayor Edward Koch.
What I have discovered, in reading about the various candidates--of both parties--is that personal integrity is virtually non-existent among them; they each have a vareity of damning skeletons in their respective closets, which the press choses to not report. There are only four candidates with integrity, with character, and without a shady past: Huckabee, Kuchinich, Gravel and Ron Paul. As it happens, none of these gentlemen are CFR members, which should make them more worthy of consideration than their slimy top-tier competitors.
