Clinton Has $35 Million in Bank, Obama $32 Million
Sen. Hillary Clinton spent roughly $20 million in the third quarter in her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination and had $35 million left to spend in her primary quest, aides reported last night. Her chief rival for the nomination, Sen. Barack Obama announced late Monday her has more than $32 million cash remaining for the primaries despite also spending at a rapid pace.
Counting funds that can be used for the general election, Clinton had roughly $50 million in reserve when September ended.
Much of Obama's spending appears to have been on advertising in Iowa; a report from the Nielsen Company showed he has ran more than 4,000 ads in Iowa, compared to 1,662 by Hillary Clinton and 45 by John Edwards.

Wow. I'm an Obama supporter, but I give major props to Edwards. Only 45 ads and he's still in the three-way horserace for Iowa? Unless the polls are wrong, that's some good groundwork.

Why is it that some people who don't like Hillary have to get so nasty all the time in their postings. It demeans them not Hillary.
I give Obama credit for raising great amounts of money and having many donors. I think it is a tribute to a chord he reaches in people.
But the reality is that he hasn't managed to translate that into gaining momentum in the polls. He has bought over 4,000 ad spots in Iowa compared to Hillary's 1,600 spots and she appears to have taken over the lead there.
I am not sure exactly what the reason is but it appears that much of it comes from her overwhelming support from women and seniors who make up most of the caucus attendees.
Unless he can break into those groups it will be hard for him to beat Hillary. But either way attack ads and attacks on other Democratic candidates won't make the difference.

So if we minus the $10 million she transfered from her senate campaign i believe Obama have more money than her raised for running for the white house. Also, Turns Out: Obama Still Found More Donors
When we got out first look at the third quarter estimates two weeks ago, it seemed that Sen. Hillary Clinton had attracted more new donors to her campaign than he did -- approximately 7,000 more.
But the final numbers give the edge to Obama in this category: he found 108,000 new donors and Clinton attracted 100,000.
That's 365,000 donors in all. 92.5% of all 550,000 donations Obama recieved have been for less than $250.00
That's campaign finance reform right there, isn't it?

Speaking as a Republican, I am happy that Obama and Mrs Clinton are raising so much money, especially Obama. It will take far more money than Hillary can possibly raise and spend to make people like her. And hopefully Obama will use his money to help identify the reasons why Hillary should never be president.
