Kean for McCain

Former New Jersey governor Thomas Kean, who headed the commission which investigated the Sept. 11 attacks, endorsed Arizona Sen. John McCain Monday for president, saying McCain would be the best leader to confront the ongoing terrorist threat.

Kean's endorsement adds to McCain's roster of foreign policy backers, which includes former Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge. It's also a blow to former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, who has touted his leadership after 9-11 as a key reason he should be president.

"To the extent that we've been less vulnerable to attacks that we suffered on 9/11, it's in a large part due to the extraordinary leadership of John McCain," Kean told reporters in Boston.

In regards to the recent push-poll maligning Romney's Mormon faith and highlighting his lack of military experience and the political finger pointing; I will always believe that a country at war needs supreme military strategy. Wouldn't George Bush's legacy benefit from rising above petty political dramatics and announcing an alliance within the Republican Party to strengthen the military and support resolution in the Middle East? I'm willing to bet those families with loved ones in the armed Forces do not doubt what the experience of the McCain clan can bring to the table.

There is only one great man or woman running for office this year and that is John McCain.

From the ever unusual, but often provocative, Andrew Sullivan:

"But to me, what McCain offers is something deeper than any of this: honour. This man knows the price and horror of war and its occasional necessity. If McCain is president, no military prisoner will be tortured, and no debates will be had over the precise terminology of torture either . . . And if McCain is president, it is conceivable that a Republican could end the war in Iraq without dishonour or panic. I don't think that could currently be said of any of his rivals."

Were I running for office, I would want Tom Kean's endorsement. I would not want Pat Robertson's or Nathan Podhoretz's.

There may be truth to the notion that political endorsements should not be rated for "character and quality" but only for the potential votes they bring, but in my world view, Tom Kean's support is worthy, and I would be proud to have it, and I think it speaks well of Sen. McCain.

Since it's patently obvious that Bush and Cheney committed 9-11 (Viz. "The New Pearl Harbor," Griffin), Kean's endorsement of McCain speaks only to their shared intelligence and complicity.

Death for treason.

Good pull for McCain. American's are now starting to see how important it is to have someone in office that can lead from day one, win the war on terrorism, cut pork barrel spending, secure our borders, clean up the environment and work in a bipartisan mannor.

GO RUDY GO RUDY GO RUDY

John McCain would make a decent Commander In Chief, but Rudy's heroic personal involvement on 9/11 means that his thirst for terrorist blood is more intense. A McCain administration would probably kill another few million Muslims, but a Giuliani regime would guarantee at least eight digits dead.

GO RUDY GO RUDY GO RUDY

Ron Paul has clearly surpassed John McCain and is now a "top tier" candidate. He dominates in Straw Polls, Debate Polls, Fund Raising, Web Traffic and Grass Roots Networking. I have created a website to support this statement.

Please visit www.thecaseforronpaul.com and judge for yourself.
