The Ron Paul Backlash Hits Fox

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Folks in downtown Manchester must be getting a little cranky right about now. All that tooting, honking and screaming? It's the Ron Paul wagon, of course.
And it's in full protest mode.
No campaign's supporters, not even Obamamaniacs, can match the fierce intensity of the Paulites, Congressman Paul's loud, passionate -- some say obsessive -- disciples. They took to the streets hours before the Fox News-sponsored Republican forum that excluded the Texas congressman, who, as Paulites are quick to note, is the top money-raising Republican in the fourth quarter.
And he placed fifth in Iowa -- well ahead of former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani.
"How can Fox hold a debate without him? I mean, Dr. Paul is attracting more people to his movement than any Republican out there. You see any Mitt Romney supporters around? Any Giuliani supporters? Any McCain supporters? We're it," Vijay Boyapati told The Trail. Last fall Boyapai, a former engineer at Google, quit his job, packed his bags and headed to New Hampshire to campaign for Paul.
If they can raise record amounts of money online, they can surely take over downtown Manchester, where they're waving signs ("Dr. Paul cured my apathy," "Ron Paul Revolution"), protesting in front of city hall on Elm Street, making a pitch to anyone who'll listen. "You gotta Google Ron Paul," a Paulite tells a woman in a black turtleneck walking her way to a restaurant.
While I'm typing this, a young man wearing a big, black parka yelled, a la Mel Gibson in "Braveheart": Freeeeddddoommm!"
And now, they're heading to the forum itself.

Dr. Paul is getting the internet love, and I love to see it, but we gotta get out there and vote in the primaries if at all possible. I will, in VA, and I hope you all do too. Let's shock the world this year by letting a non-politician have a few words to say!

What was Foxes reason for eliminating Paul?
Could it be the one guy who owns a majority of the corporation doesn't want you to hear from anyone empowering the non-wealthy?
Could it be the foreign, especially islamic corporate share holders, don't want certain opinions voiced?

Fox and ABC may have done Dr. Paul a favor by excluding him from their debates. He wound up with more publicity -- including this article.
I'm tired of the media types claiming Paul supporters are whackos, however. I think if anyone is crazy, it is the GOP's war-baiting good ole boys. Rudy and his warmongering crowd do not strike me as normal.

It is easy to get enthused about someone when they are saying the things that you care about and know to be true. I'm tired of being lied to by government and the media. Thank you Ron Paul for a little truth.

He is excluded because he is the biggest threat to their power, money, and influence. For the first time in decades a candidate is talking about our Constitution as though it means something. All others ignore it or pay lip service to it. Funny how Fred Thomson kept bringing it up in a recent debate and at the same time jeered at Dr. Paul. Paul is smart and principled and doesn't have to remember what he told one group versus another because he is guided by the U.S. Constitution. All the other candidates, republicans and democrats, believe the Constitution is outdated - that we're "smarter" than the founders, even though none of them would say it publicly. It's always about power and money. Those "in the know" politicians and news agencies ridicule Dr. Paul's simple and consistent messages of freedom, liberty, property rights, and small government. They marginalize, ridicule, and try to make him look like a simpleton when in fact he the smartest and wisest candidate of all.

rahaha, Dr. Ron Paul is not a racist. He is merely stating facts given by others. You have nothing to fear from Ron Paul if he is elected President. People are lying to you if you think he's racist. I believe the facts do bear out what he says about crimes being committed. That does not mean he dislikes any particular race. He has delivered thousands of babies, many of them non-white.

Everyone who is for Ron Paul (me included) needs to know that the American Revolution was fought by only 1/3 of the colonists. Another third were indifferent, and the final third (Tories) were against the Revolution; they are now called Canadians and they still live under a tyrannical monarchy. We must not give up hope because we don't have the hearts and minds of 100% of the people. A small minority that is loud enough can change the world. Go Ron Paul!

Dr. Paul is the "Honest Abe" Lincoln of our times. He speaks truthfully and no-holds-barred. While those phony cookie-cutter politicians may have better hairdressers if we vote for any of them we will get trampled under the same mis-government we've been getting for generations.
Time for a step back to a time when we identify a national problem (i.e. illegal immigration) and then take sensible steps to solve it. The other candidates would sell our country to the highest bidder. Ron Paul will not. Simple, really.

Ron Paul's campaign really only started with the massive fund raising campaign on November 5th. In less than 2 months he has gained more momentum than all the other candidates combined over the past year! Wake up people and listen to the sound of the freedom!

I feel the reason why Fox is against Ron Paul being in the debates,is because he is against corporate welfare. This costs the average taxpayer over $1000 every year.I beleive in free enterprise,not government subsidies to inefficient businesses.Paul is a true American who puts America first not Iraq .The iraqi war is costing us hundreds of billions every year.Vote for Ron Paul.

The Constitution does not grant us any rights. It describes the limited rights that we the people are granting to the federal government.
The Constitution specifically says that any right that is not granted here to the government, is witheld.
The Bill of Rights is not granting us any rights. Read the preamble to the Bill of Rights.
The reason for all this is that we the people have natural rights that are not granted to us by anyone.

Thanks to the Internet, we are no longer fed information by the five companies that control the media. We know more.
We know that, after electing a Democratic Congress and Senate to end the war, they continue to fund the war by attaching their pork barrel projects to the funding. "You can have your war, if we can have this", they say to Bush. "You get to kill this many more people if you only give us these things", they say.
We know when they quietly pass a Thought Crimes Bill, a Federal ID Act, and give Bush the authority to declare martial law and mobilize the National Guard in any state for any reason.
We know about the PNAC and how Bush is obsessed with it's implementation. We know he is delusional and doesn't believe that we know and believes that he can get away with murder.
We know that our Central Bank is privately owned. We know that these bankers make money financing both sides of wars. We know who they are and how they appointed Giuliani Mayor of NYC and are trying to appoint him President. We know that Giuliani became rich on the bodies of the victims from 9/11.
We know that our tax dollars are used to destabilize countries so that International bankers can then make money on the conflict.
We know that we were tricked into going to war, not just once but several times. We know that Bush wants to get us into a war with Iran before he leaves office when we are on the brink of economic ruin as a result of the war he already got us into. We know that Feinstein and others have broken the law and become rich in the process.
We know that our elected leaders on both sides did not enforce immigration laws. We know that we are financing cheap labor through our social services infrastructure and loss of jobs. We know that this cheap labor is not so cheap except for the ones that use it.
We know that it's not just the Republicans or just the Democrats.
Above all, we know that we want our country back. We know we are fed up and it has to change.

A vote for Ron Paul is never wasted. Even if he doesn't win the nomination, a strong showing proves that a lot of people like his pro-freedom, limited government platform.
And if it turns into a 50-state marathon for the nomination, no one is in better shape, since Ron Paul has more cash on hand and more actual, active supporters than any other candidate.

If any of the other candidates had any integrity they would have gone along with the NH GOP and boycotted the Fox forum in protest. If any of them had done this it would have done good things for him in NH and probably other states as well. They missed that opportunity to stand up for what is right, they all did. Of course, since they are all puppets they can't stand up to their masters.

Ron Paul, as a candidate, does not deliver a message consistent with the real efforts by the media, and others to "shape the message". When you hear them talking about "rising to the challenge", it's now evident that includes the censorship of presidential candidates, and the usurpation of the US electoral process. Manipulating us into thinking what they want us to think seems like a casual thing to them. Not so casual to us though.
Here, in News Corp's Rupert Murdoch's own words at the Davos World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, which took place in January 2007in Davos Switzerland,
Mr. Murdoch's casually admits (toward the end of the clip) that he and his properties support the Bush war in the Iraq:

The rest of the panelists and what they had to say was interesting as well. The clip above was from the forums called "Who Will Shape the Agenda?", moderated by Charly Rose. The gist is the acknowledging of the rising power of decentralized information (the internet) and how that challenges official, licensed news organizations, official government "shaping" efforts, and to business interests in general. Very interesting that they talk about "rising to the challenge".
It should be obvious that this means fighting back, and working harder to "shape the agenda" for us.
One last thing.....read this transcript of this speech by Rupert Murdoch to the American Society of Newspaper Editors, April 13, 2005.
Read it all, but pay attention to the last 6 paragraphs, where he is "meeting the challenge" of a readership that is perceived as being stupid (all of us).
Rupert Murdoch does not respect all of us, and he is therefore justified to pander to us, to manipulate us, if it means "shaping the agenda" and of course making a hell of a lot more money in the process.
He notes in this speech that media that "looks down" on their "stupid" readers may not meet with success. The implication is that media should join their readers in their stupidity(?), and "shape" the message appropriately for commercial advantage. "Dumbing down" to make a buck comes to mind.

I guess last night's performance pegs just what type of individuals they really are: opportunism wins hands down over honor and fair play.

If you want more freedom, lower taxes and less federal government meddling in your life, Ron Paul is the obvious and only choice for president.
Even though he is eligible to collect a fat pension as a 10-term congressman from Texas, Dr. Paul refuses to take a nickel from taxpayers for that purpose. He says hefty pensions for politicians are an abuse of power. It's just another example of how Ron Paul practices what he preaches.
If you prefer the current steady slide into fascism and socialism, pick one of the Republicrat or Demopublican clones. When it comes to their actual records, Mitt, Rudy and Hillary are three peas (or stooges?) in a pod.

I believe we are simply looking at media manipulation of the voters by controlling what is shown on the mainstream channels. Dr Paul's ideas will dismantle and liberate more than a trillion dollars of corrupt government handouts, kickbacks, and financial controls on Mr G Public. People are currently brainwashed and apathetic and totally unaware of what their rights even are. Many still do not even know who Dr Paul is. One can hope they will wake up when the dollar hits $0 and their hard earned saving accounts are worthless. Rudy only got 4% in Iowa after having personally campaigned there more than Ron Paul and only 1 time less than John McCain. Thompson is in mid-single digits in NH, behind Ron Paul. Ron is the most successful fundraiser and is polling well in NH. It is clear candidates were cherry-picked by Fox to present its viewpoint.
While I recognize the Constitutional right of Fox News to select which candidates and views are worthy of highlight on its own network, I would nonetheless point to this personal participation in the GOP primary as a gross deviation from the standards of political journalism.

There was a debate last night? Oh that's right my Tivo no longer thinks I get Fox, or Fox News, or all the other channels owned by the same group.
Pretty funny how just a few months ago the party was more important than the candidates (said Huckabee), but when the New Hampshire state GOP pulls out from backing the debate because of Fox's unfair treatment not a single remaining candidate seems to care. Who will they come for next time? Sounds a little like 1940's Germany to me. In a time when we seem to have one political party (with two names) it is dangerous to let the voices of dissent be silenced. I totally disagree with most ideas that Dennis Kucinich has, but he seems honest and truthful, and he too has been silenced.

The world wants Ron Paul as president! --Generally by a landslide, in every country except Croatia (Hillary), a few black African countries and Bangladesh (Obama), and China and Russia (Kucinich). Maybe there were one or two other countries that I overlooked. But in the vast majority of countries, it is Ron Paul by a mile. Even Mexico prefers Dr. Paul by a large margin.
BTW, I'm posting from Tokyo where I work for one of the world's largest financial firms, and I think ONLY Dr. Paul has sensible ideas about the monetary system. Everyone else would simply fiddle while Rome burns.

Maybe Ron paul supporters should do to Fox what Howard Stern fans did to all call in radio and telephone shows, get past the screener and yell RON PAUL! For a long time Howard Stern fans were doing that (Yelling Howard Stern) to all radio and TV shows. Ron Paul supporters could start calling all neocon talk shows and yelling on air "RON PAUL." That will drive Hannitiy, Bill O, Rush and the other neocons crazy.

Did anyone notice in the republican debate, when asked if it were intellectually dishonenst to let people thing gas prices would go down, Ron Paul was the only one that could answer exactly why gas has gone up and what has happened to the value of the dollar. It is amazing to me how the other candidates are so arrogant to him, because he is the only one that has any real clue about the economy and how it really works. The other candidates just had a blank look on their face. They really have no clue why the economy is in turmoil. I love to listen to Dr. Paul explain it in layman terms so the other candidates can understand it. Especially Romney, he should be a used car Salesmen, what an arrogant fake Romney is.

If you vote for Ron Paul you are in essence voting for YOURSELF and the future of this country. If you can't understand why people are putting their lives on hold and throwing everything they have into seeing Ron Paul elected as president..read "Nation of Sheep" by Andrew P. Napolitano who is the senior judicial analyst for Fox news.
Then you will start to understand the Ron Paul Revolution.

Fox made a crucial miscalculation and had plenty of time to correct their error. This just brought a flood of interest to Paul; what's so important that they have to censor him?
I just finished watching Dr. Paul at the MCAM TV-23 public access channel studio give his townhall address.
It was absolutely stunning, he does best in this forum, to be sure, and he gave well thought and direct answers to all the big questions of our time.
Even if you have already chosen your favorite candidate, you'll be simply better informed on the issues if you listen to him speak.

I think Fox doesn't like threats.
Ron Paul followers use threats when they don't get their way.
Can you imagine the country if they actually won.

Dr. Paul is the only candidate to know what the Constitution truly stands for. He is the only candidate that speaks for the American populous rather than speaking for media and poloticians. As a Veteran I urge all Veterans to vote for Ron Paul. I will even if I have to write his name in. For once we have a true American politician putting America first. Check out his voting record; restore America.

We have known that they are neither fair or balanced, and their motto YOU DECIDE 2008 should be called FOX NEWS DECIDES FOR YOU 2008. Does Faux Noise really understand the backlash that has begun against them. We will dump their stock; boycott, call, and e-mail their advertisers; and worst heckle their talking heads wherever they are seen in any public venue. Did they want a war against us, it won't be any conventional war, but it will be just as devastating to their ratings, their earnings, and their sanity if they had any before it. Faux Noise is going down this time.

Yea, we're all a bunch of rabid cult-like supporters. Try this discription... we are people who have finally been presented a candidate with a set of policies both foreign and domestic, and a message of change that will regain our freedoms, civil liberties, sovereignty, and prosperity. Paul's supporters are very tuned in to the issues and that is where we get our fire and inspiration from, not from and great and inspirational stump orator. We know where Ron Paul stands and we've looked at the other candidates in detail, I don't think others really know their own candidates issues. This is ot a movement about going back to the days of when our constitution was written, but applying our Constitution for today to fix the wrongs that we are commiting to people and nations around the world and our own citizens at home. Dr. Paul is an OB/GYN, but he is amazed to find that his message is curing so many, like myself, of their apathy.

Fox' Corporate board includes war propagandist and Hillary fundraiser Rupert Murdoch; Viet Dinh, law prof and author of the patriot act; Andrew Knight of Rothschild; and Rod Paige, former head of Education for Bush.
All of these people are practitioners of collectivism taken straight out of the communist manifesto (govt. education, govt control / complicity in control of communications, centralization of banking and credit). Dr. Paul has taken on these entrenched, insidious forces and is trying to directly overturn everything these people stand for. Duh, why do we think he was kept out. Corporate global collectivists going right into the sovereign state of NH, telling the semi-legitimate NH GOP to go to heck, and proceed to tell the drooling, dumbed down masses they need to give them all their money for war so they can come back in and buy up all the roads and we can all pay our tolls to traverse in our formerly free country.

Ron Paul has my vote. The economy, and the monetary system is my major issue and Dr. Paul is the only one addressing it. Ron Paul has my vote.

Haha.. You're kidding, right? Giuliani's campaign is a joke and he has flip-flopped on just about every major issue there is.
His personal life is a disgrace and many in NY (including the Fire Fighters who served under him) strongly oppose Giuliani as the Republican nominee. Nothing about this individual says "Presidential".
Giuliani's record speaks the complete opposite of conservative and I would be willing to challenge anyone who thinks otherwise.
To anyone who does support him.. You obviously haven't looked at his record with any sort of detail. Spend 5 minutes researching him and his policies and I would be willing to bet that you will have a change of heart.

Foxes reason for excluding Ron Paul from the forum was because they (Rupert Murdock, Roger Ailes, etc...) don't want Ron Paul to be President. Do yourself a favor watch the Ron Paul Town Hall meeting that he had tonight. You can find it at www.dailypaul.com and by the end you will understand why they are so afraid of him.
Why they don't want you to hear him? Why they don't want you to listen to him? Dr. Paul speaks the truth to power and when people hear it they know. And, when the people know the truth, then the "lies" fall to the ground like dried leaves from a dying tree.
There was a fundraiser tied to the movie "V" for Vendetta. But, in reality this revolution feels more like the movie The Matrix. Listening to Dr. Paul and being exposed to the "truth" about our current situation is like choosing between the two pills. Take one and you will learn the truth and you can never unlearn it. Take the other and live on in .......

What I love about Ron Paul's run for the presidency is that we get to hear and read all sorts of interesting discussions about taxes, gold, war, welfare, foreign policy, federal reserve, etc. Go to almost any Ron Paul article and the comments are great! There are some crazies out there but all-in-all the Ron Pauls folks are well read, intelligent and passionate.
Just imagine what we'll get to enjoy when Dr Paul is elected President. This could be the best fours years of education that the American people will ever get and they won't have to pay a dime for it. In fact, they will get to go to "school" and get "paid" for it in the form of a reduced federal government.
