Romney Turns to Turnaround Pitch

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- One day before the New Hampshire primary, Mitt Romney will make a final, televised appeal to voters that he is the candidate best suited to bring change to Washington.
In the two-minute television ad, which will run on Manchester and Boston television stations, entitled "Tomorrow," Romney paints Washington as a broken place which is in need of fresh faces -- a swipe at his chief rival in New Hampshire, Sen. John McCain.
He says in the ad that America needs a turnaround expert in the White House.
"I'm the only candidate for president who's done that in the real world," he says. "I've done it in business, at the Olympics and as governor. I'm going to bring that real-world turnaround experience with me to Washington."
The ad reinforces a new message for the former governor. After spending months arguing that he is the most conservative candidate in the race, he has now shifted to a message focused almost entirely on change.

It is pretty interesting that the latest candidate for "change" talks the status quo on immigration. I suppose if romney were to be president, we could spend another 8 years enforcing current policy and try again when there are 24 million illegals.

Bush said he could fix Washington, but he fundamentally lacked the skills. Obama says he can change Washington, but he too lacks the experience and skills. As an Independent, I think I can objectively say that Mitt is the only candidate in both parties that actually has the capabilities to do what he says he will do. I hope you other independents vote for the change you want to see. Romney is the only one that can get it done.
