I'm becoming convinced more and more that a significant percentage of Obama voters will never vote for Hillary. If Hillary does win (and I'm a Hillary partisan), I hope they don't end up playing the role of the Naderites in 2000.

mr. anderson,
what on earth made you think you need to trot out some 'dirt' on mrs. clinton in your response to my posting?
politics as usual. not quite the politics of hope.

My friend Matthewmaverick,
No, not hopeful for America.
Hillary Clinton, under fire about her commitment to civil rights, has lately been loudly proclaiming her fealty to the Democratic Party's best traditions on human rights.
However, just two years ago, Hillary--the purported "expert" on international relations--said there should be "lawful authority" for torture in some cases. (See, for example, www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0907/Hillary_and_torture_audio_version.html )
Her stand was opposite to that of every other major Democratic presidential candidate in 2007-2008, and the heat she took for it caused her to make one of her famous "flip flops."
Democrats hungry to regain the White House need to ask themselves, as is asked in Mark 8:36, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul."
And that is why it is not hopeful for America ... unless, of course, you believe in torture.

Obama needed different strategy. he was offered to bring people solutions to a lot of global warming consequences, which clintons and bushes didn't want to consider because the inventor is black. obama decided that he could run on only slogans and hope. it didn't work yet. it was clear back then that it would have not. anyhow, maybe, he still can do better than to fight clinton's provocations and to offer only hope and visions. let us see.
nobody by now was able to fight EMPIRE with slogans and visions.

In ancient Rome, sculptors who wanted to show prospective buyers the value of their wares chisled in the phrase "sine cerum" (without wax) at the base of their work.
That was because, under the mezzogiorno sun, the work of sculptors who sought to sell lesser quality goods could be shown to be a fraud, as the cracks and fissures they covered up with wax in order to create a more perfect image melted in the heat.
No one is perfect, especially in politics, but Sen. Barack Obama offers his wares "sine cherum"--without wax.
Prospective buyers (voters) will get what is on display, because Obama plays it straight.
No one can say that about the Clintons--Bill or Hillary--as Eleanor Clift's look at their latest escapades in the bright spotlight of scrutiny clearly shows.
(See: http://www.newsweek.com/id/96086/CommentSuccess/true)
Why is it that the Clintons would sacrifice the Democratic Party and the best that it stands for, just so they can put their shabby shadow on display?
Still 39 delegates to 40 for Hillary isn't bad.
Now it's on to South Carolina and victory ...

It is pitiful. Empire maintains itself, while global warming is biting bigger and bigger pieces of the country. It is really pitiful that obama can't defeat hillary. what does sc have to say?

Naderites didn't cause Gore's loss in 2000 - the Republican-stacked Supreme Court did. Remember that Gore won the popular vote and actually won Florida. Don't think for a second that the Clintons would EVER back down from such a fight.
