Inside the Bellagio Caucus

Updated 3:58 p.m.
By Shailagh Murray
LAS VEGAS -- The scene inside the Bellagio's cavernous Tower Ballroom was a cross between Animal House and a high school pep rally. Hill-a-ry! Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's side chanted. Si se puede! The Obama camp shouted back. Clinton drew the bigger crowd -- but a crisis erupted when a group of housekeepers walked to the door to return to work. They were called back. Seven -- yes, that's right, seven -- John Edwards supporters stood off to the side, campaign placards folded under the arms.

Official attendee count: 462.

Final count; 271 Clinton, 191 Obama.
