Overall Turnout High for Nev. Caucuses
By Garance Franke-Ruta
While turnout at the nine at-large caucus locations on the fabled Las Vegas Strip may have been surprisingly low, given the amount of public attention focused on those sites, overall turnout for the Nevada caucuses surpassed even the best expectations of Democratic Party officials, who had earlier been predicting tens of thousands would show up for the Saturday political event.
With 88 percent of the precincts reporting, the Nevada Democratic Party said in a statement that it's "seeing record turnout with more than 114,000 caucus attendees."
Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (Nev.) was one of the only people to predict turnout around 100,000. Others had projected a more modest 45,000 tally.

The support for Hillary among female baby boomers in my Henderson, NV community was beyond belief-she is a brillant woman-the republicans and other doubters should not underestimate her appeal-she can win it all!

This Democratic Party turnout of 114,000 is not "high" from the perspective that total population of Nevada is 2.5 million people and there was a close and hot contest between Clinton and Obama. Entrance polling showed 59% of the turnout was female. Obama needs to work on getting out the male vote on Super Tuesday.

if hillary keeps winning the primaries, we can look forward to another 4 years of a Republican in the White House.Even many liberal Dems can't stand her lying, two-faced, back stabbing, politics.

Be prepared for Obama to claim unfair this or that. He is such a cry baby. Too bad his benefactor may soon be going to jail ala Fitzgerald.

Hillary wins again. Yay. The hate Hillary industry piled it on and the Democrats said "Phewy to you. We'll pick who we want." Even the Obama campaign of attack 24/7 couldn't overcome her. I didn't help his cause that he confessed to not being a good manager, heaping praise on Ronald Reagan and calling the Republican Party the party of ideas. He really lost his bearings. The time for reaching out to the Reeps is AFTER you are in the White House and have a Democratic majority in congress at your back.

I've read on the Las Vegas Sun website and elsewhere that there was widespread confusion about what time the caucuses started, and you weren't allowed to participate if arriving even one minute late. Some people were said to be getting calls telling them the wrong time to show up, etc.

The excitment in the Democratic party this year is something I haven't seen since JFK. I think this bodes very well for the general election for not only the Presidental campaign but for Democratic candidates generally. This could be a transformational election that sweeps out a lot of Republicans in every district except the Confederate states.
Remember the paint commercial that showed a globe with paint pouring down from the North Pole over North America? I think that may be the symbol of this election year as the Democratic Blue flows all across northern US and the coastal areas. This should lead to some real changes.

The Citizens want CLinton as their nominee,
and turned out to vote for her.
Obama's use of race and reagan did not work.

Don't overestimate Hillary Clinton's *lack* of appeal amongst Americans at large. Democrats have done this twice already in the last eight years. They say "we all love our nominee, the world will learn to embrace them as we have", and then we get Bush again and again.
