Personally, as an Atlantan who has always been a huge admirer of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, I'm appalled that she would stoop to this insult in such an artless and classless way. My opinion of Franklin has suffered today.

On Dr. King's birthday it should be a time for healing, not divisive and personal insults. Why fan the divisive flames yet more?

It is a very troubling time. Yet again we are descending into intranecine fights. I'm ashamed to be a Democratic.

It's almost enough to make me throw up my hands and say, "Mayor Bloomberg, please rescue us from this mess."

Unlike Congressman Clyburn, or even Bill Clinton, I don't have to bite my tongue at times in order NOT to offend idiots.

Barack Obama and his agents have engaged in the most despicable racial hucksterism in this campaign, and as a white man who originally had been pushing HARD among all of my friends, family, and associates for a Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama ticket, I feel sickened. To me, this man has revealed himself over the last two weeks to be a despicable, lying, racist scumbag. He may think he can whitewash it with lovely rhetoric, but I for one am far too intelligent to be fooled by it.

Therefore, as a very passionate citizen, I will NOT chill. I will VEHEMENTLY shout to the rooftops that I feel this man doesn't deserve to be elected dog-catcher of Podunk, Illinois, let alone President of the United States of America. We need someone in that office who can UNITE this nation, not just some slick, lying, racist piece of shiite who with flowery rhetoric can FOOL people into believing that's what he stands for.

I have a question:
Last night, and this morning, I saw the article on abc.com that stated the Obama Campaign was filing a complaint with the Democratic Committee because of caucus doors being closed on Saturday, here in Nevada, at 11:30. The proof provided - included in the article as a link to the Clinton Campaign's handbook for caucus team captains/chair, as well as the Democratic Party handbook used by the Obama Campaign, was pretty self-evident that the claim was correct.

And, judging from the comments section to this article, which was on either Washington Post or msnbc.com (can't remember which cause I read them all), while there were comments from LOADS of caucus workers who backed both Edwards and Obama that noted individual stories to back up the claims, there was not ONE comment listed by any of the Clinton campaign workers, to refute ANY of the allegations. As a matter of fact, one individual even commented that the Democratic Party is behind Hillary Clinton. And there were several stories told by individuals, who actually worked AT the Nevada Caucus, showing intimidation by the Clinton Campaign - and NOT the Obama or Edwards Campaigns.

This article, which originally showed up on the site listed below, was pulled off the other site it was on - it was either Washington Post or msnbc.com. This other site was the one that had comments on it from those of us who were there in Nevada.

Does anyone know why?

You, go Shirley !!! Now I hope Senator Claire McCaskill, Governor Janet Napoliteano and former Senator Jean Carnahan all come out and do the same for Obama.

I love the fact that the crowd gave Shirley a standing ovation. Perhaps this is a turning point for the better for the Obama campaign.

Incidentally, Hillary is spending very little time in South Carolina this week. Is she conceding this race ?
