ND: Obama Investment May Pay Off

The North Dakota Democratic Party has begun reporting early returns from rural caucuses tonight, and it appears that Obama's attention to the state might be paying off.

Having tallied more than 3,500 votes in 47 percent of the state's precincts, officials reported that 54 percent of the votes have been for Obama and 43 percent for Clinton.

State officials warned that many of the remaining precincts yet to be tallied include some of the most populous areas of the state.

Obama has a full-time paid staff of 10 in the state, while Clinton has a volunteer crew working on her behalf.
