McCain Wins All Three Potomac States
By Amy Gardner
Sen. John McCain defeated former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee in the Virginia Republican primary today, and he also won with comfortable margins in Maryland and the District in the region's first-ever Potomac Primary.
With more than 90 percent of the vote counted in Virginia, McCain was ahead 50 percent to 41 percent. In the District, with about half of the precincts reporting, McCain led 67 percent to 17 percent.

Who are those two losers standing behing McCain?
Doesn't McCain have a black child by a prostitute in South Carolina? The Republicans didn't seem to like him then, before the "Straight Talk Express" began to run on desperate opportunism.

McCain's Navy Service

Crashed 5 jets, plus was responsible for the Forrestal fire. Surviving crewmen and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case reported that McCain deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E Skyhawk to shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his A-4. 'Wet-starts', done either deliberately (the starter motor switch allowed kerosene to pool in the engine and give a wet start) or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft. In McCain's case, the 'wet-start' 'cooked off' and launched the M34 Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that punctured the Skyhawk's fueltank, knocked the M-65 1000 lb bomb off it's 500 lb rated mount, and touched off the explosions and massive fire. The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration, along with 167 of his fellow Forrestal shipmates (including those who died later from wounds suffered). 'Wet starting' was a common practice among young 'hot-dog' pilots. McCain was quickly (they were still counting the Forrestal dead) transferred to the USS Oriskany (the only Forrestal crewman to be immediately transferred).
Description: XA4D-1 Skyhawk BuNo 137812 experiencing a wet start (note the pool of JP on the ground and the tongue of flame from the tailpipe).

They may call McCain the war hero, but I think Huckabee is proving himself to be the most dedicated soldier for the people. With the kind of tenacity we are witnessing, just imagine what he could do in office!
He has the bold ideas that offer the democrats the change they are looking for, while also remaining steadfast into the principles that make America great: life for the breathing and the unborn.
And while the polls may say McCain would make a better commander in chief, I would rather have Huckabee''s command of the English language, Biblical and religious wisdom (and how it plays a role in the values and beliefs of extremists and countries), and his recognition of the human element in everything from environmental issues to rights and responsibilities than McCain''s military might. Huckabee will do more to bring about peace than McCain will with is 100-year war.

McCain wins all three Potomac states? Excuse me, but since when has the District of Columbia been a state?

It almost makes you want to cry to think how far gone Hope seemed to be.
I really thought mine was dead and buried, but the big O resurrected it in about 2 minutes one night as I watched him speak.
He really understands what is wrong with our politics, and has been for a looooong time.
I heard Hillary speaking tonight in Texas. It did occur to me that she may no longer believe anything she is saying.
She was talking about how we have to ensure that the next generation has the same opportunities "we" had.
Well, I'm still waiting for mine. I'm not talking about handouts, I'm talking about a living wage, a CHANCE to go to college (without living with my mom, who has filed for bankruptcy, lost her house and is living in GA with her sister waiting for the foreclosure and her bankruptcy court date).
These opportunities disappeared a loooong time ago. I just wonder "where has Hillary been?"
When Obama speaks of despair and being shut out, and how the bar keeps moving... I know EXACTLY where he's coming from.
I know because I have lived it, am living it, and will continue to live it. Hopefully, my son will not have to drown in bills, fake smiles, lies, and rhetoric while he bangs his head against the glass ceiling of financial inadequacy.
How can a student get a loan for college without a cosigner? I couldn't. Of course, for the well-connected, this minor detail is no big deal. You just take the papers to mommy or daddy and say, "sign here."
For millions of intelligent, hard-working people, mommy and daddy don't qualify.
So, NOW what do you do?
Well, there's McDonalds, Home Depot, UPS, FedEx, WalMart, on and on and it's all part time, so, no benefits, not enough hours, and ridiculous pay. The better bet is probably the construction field, because you will get 40 hours a week, usually.
Take it from me, that doesn't impress much on a resume, nor when looking to rent a room from some rich college students. I told them I worked in construction, had to wake up at 4:30 in the morning, and they looked at me like I smelled of feces.
So, why not rent an apartment, go to school part time? WELL, apparently, in Arlington, VA, one must earn at least $36,000 a year to rent a 1 bedroom at $850/month...which is a great bargain there.
Good luck with the job and the college and the apartment and all.
Do the math: It's IMPOSSIBLE. Now, add in gas or metro fares, an electric bill, maybe some food, a car insurance, or an internet connection, (don't even THINK about health insurance)and you're drowning in RED,
which means: You will NEVER go to college, no matter how smart you are. So, go dig a ditch, idiot.
THAT'S the opportunity I had. Thanks for the prosperity, Ms. Clinton. Never knew I had it so good. And I feel I was actually one of the lucky ones. This country has been leaving people behind, shutting them out, driving past them, ignoring them, like they're driving through a Human Safari Park, for a looong time. It might be understandable during the Great Depression, but we, as a nation, have WASTED boom times, and, what's worse, a few generations of human beings. And for what? A faster jet? A smarter bomb? An election favor? NOT THIS TIME.
NOT NOW. so sorry!
It will take more than putting Obama in the White House to make our country great again. But it's a Start.

With McCain's clean sweep of the three primaries today Huckabee is 100% eliminated and like it or not John McCain is the GOP nominee.
Huckabee needs to immediately back off from his senseless fight against the Republican nominee so the GOP can begin the work of organizing for a huge battle with the Democrats. If Huckabee and Paul stay in they are harming the party and reducing the chance that conservatives will have a voice in the White House next year.
McCain is not my ideal nominee either, but that's who conservatives have to work with this season. The Democrats are the enemy now, not fellow Republicans. Let's get with the program...

There is a post above containing lies about the Forrestal fire in 1967.
For a PDF containing actual facts about the incident.
http://pbma.nasa.gov/docs/public/pbma/general/forrestal_vits.pdf.
From the diagram, McCain's A-4 is not ahead of the the F-4, its facing it.
The F-4 suffered an electrical surge when the pilot switched to internal power, causing a Zuni rocket [which is fired electrically] to be launched.
