A Clinton Supports Colombian Trade Deal
By Perry Bacon Jr.
Hillary Clinton has an even closer adviser than Mark Penn who has supported a trade deal with Colombia that she opposes -- and he'll be harder to fire.
Her campaign on Tuesday acknowledged that former president Bill Clinton has also spoken in favor of the proposed bilateral agreement with Colombia, two days after the former first lady demoted Penn after it was revealed that he met with Colombian officials to help them get the deal through Congress.
"Senator Clinton is the candidate for president, and she is a clear and firm opponent of the Colombian free trade agreement," said Jay Carson, a Clinton spokesman, who said the ex-president has spoken in favor of the agreement since 2000. "Like other married couples who disagree on issues from time to time, she disagrees with her husband on this issue."
Former president Clinton has repeatedly spoken in favor of the bilateral agreement, further complicating his wife's efforts to distance herself from it. As trade unions and workers have grown increasingly frustrated with trade agreements, believing they have caused the loss of U.S. jobs, the former first lady has dialed up her anti-trade rhetoric. She has even suggested that she privately opposed the North American Free Trade Agreement her husband advocated during his early years in the White House.
The news about Penn and Clinton could threaten her lead in Pennsylvania, which is already slipping.
Clinton, in appearances on morning talks shows on Tuesday, distanced herself from Penn's stance, and noted she had been a consistent opponent of a trade deal with Colombia. But the controversy could still cause problems similar to those faced by rival Sen. Barack Obama, who was dogged in the days before Ohio voted last month over whether one of his top economic advisers had played down his opposition to NAFTA with Canadian officials.

Some very interesting comments have been made so far. To me one of the most thought provocing was the comment about Hillary being publicly for Nafta, but privately against during Bill's presidency. What is it now? Is she publicly against it, but privately for it, now? Seems logical. The other puzzle is the public revalation that Bill has in some way, is not only supporting Nafta now, but is being proactive. There are plenty of ramifications for that, but the one that puzzles me the most is how and why this revalation is being interjected into the dialog? Are they playing good and bad cop....a strategy resulting in the manipulation of the subject (voter)? Try to convince me this is not what's happening, because if it is we should be praying God Bless America every night!

Wait! Did everyone know that Bill Clinton accepted an award from the Columbian leader? Hillary despises the conditions in Columbia, but her husband negotiates and accepts awards from them. Wow! At the very least, this is indicative of a serious control problem. Bill will lobby for the highest bidder, and convince Hillary at in the bed-- that is, convince Hilary's intern.... OK, that finale of that sentence was a low blow.... Whoops, you get my drift.
Posted by: radvocate | April 9, 2008 1:40 PM
Wow, could you imagine the level of manipulation these two can dish to us if this nonsense is allowed to go on? Oh, my husband agrees, my campaign head agrees but I DON'T. Are you absolutely kidding with this? She's the candidate for the most powerful position in the nation. How can she claim not being associated with her own people? They would need her to get it through! Imagine what crooked politics could be accomplished with this style of dialog. The two of them could do ANYTHING THEY WANT if people are dumb enough to buy into this logic, ANYTHING.

I am glad that the Media is finally beginning to report that Penn is still an active part of the Hillary campaign and that he is not gone. It was misleading and a disservice of the Media to report that Mark Penn had been fired or had stepped down or that he would not be affilated with the Clinton campaign. After all, Maggie Williams' statement is "After the events of the last few days, Mark Penn has asked to give up his role as Chief Strategist of the Clinton Campaign; Mark, and Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates, Inc. will continue to provide polling and advice to the campaign. " From the following statement it is accurate for the Media to say he has been DEMOTED! Now we are finding out from the Media that Bill Clinton has been very active in Nafta also. Is anyone surprised?
Anyone with any Political smarts and Political savvy, should know that the Clintons are not REALLY getting rid of Penn and that this is just another smoke screen -- he is far too valuable to them and knows WAY too much for them to push him under the bus. He will still be pulling the strings behind that Wizard of Oz Curtin, as they say, polling and advising! This is just more double talk, double speak, misstate, misspeak and misspoke moment. He is still on the Morning Conference Calls! If Hillary wants any credibility on this story, Mark Penn should step down for Real! And as for her recent "staged" call to pull out the troops, she is playing a part. Hillary is a consumate actress and misstress of spin, who will say and do anything to get elected no matter how detrimental to the party -- fuel a gender & racial divide and no matter how untruthful (Bosnia, Nafta)! However, we got a 3:00 Bosnian Phone Call and no one believes her anymore. Barack does not have to pretend. He does not need to speak loudly or need pomp to get attention. He is real and authentic.

Well, what did we expect....Bill does what Bill wants to do, whenever Bill wants to do it. Now, let us see if she will fire him (as she did Mark Penn). She didn't divorce him - either time he dealt with the Bimbos. He didn't get fired for the racist remarks in South Carolina, and elsewhere.
And, we cannot be sure he won't be the one that answers the 3AM phone call into the White House. After all they make a big deal about the co-President thing. You take the credit, you gotta live with the blame.

This is vintage, quintessential Clinton. Get on both sides of an issue, get paid as much as possible, and then lie when someone points it out.
SHAME ON YOU HILLARY AND BILL CLINTON. Stop stealing money, and stop lying to us.

I think Bill is interesting in a bilateral trade, just not the one formed by the Bush Adminstration. The Bush Administration as screwed up all the trade agreements and exploited the ones that actually worked for us.
As every married couple, Hillary doesn't have to agree with Bill and half the time I don't think she does anything he tells her. Hillary has proven to me that she does have separate thoughts from her husband.
I just hope she will have Penn and his organization out of her campaign by the end of the week. I think Penn is saying alot of things to make himself look good in the press and to other clients. He's already lost business with the Columbians and the Clinton campaign. His other businesses are at risk.
I love ya, Hillary, but you gotta cut off Penn completely. By the way, the shrinking lead prediction was the same in OH. And we saw what happened in OH. The polls are slanting wrong. Only SUSA has it right (though a bit high- I give Hillary +12), PA is Clinton Country.

"In June 2007, Clinton received an award from President Uribe for his efforts to reverse the country's image in the United States. But there may have been more of a public relations purpose to the event. At the time, ABC News reported that "the Colombia government [was] trying to counter its negative image among Washington Democrats and secure congressional passage of a free trade agreement."
And, indeed, at the ceremony Clinton urged Congress to reconsider its perceptions of the country.
"We need to remember that we are friends," said the former president. "We need to remember that we want to share a common future. We need to remember that for the first time in over three decades there is a law enforcement presence representing the elected government of Colombia."
Certainly, the award ceremony was not without political touchiness. Other Democratic officials had previously declined to be seen alongside Uribe. In May, former Vice President Al Gore backed out of an environmental conference to avoid appearing alongside Uribe, concerned about his countries poor humanitarian practices.
And critics of Colombia's human rights and labor policies took great exception with the former president's willingness to ally himself with Uribe."
Says a lot, folks...

What this article and others are missing is the fact that Bill Clinton was compensated for speeches he made in support of the Colombia trade agreement. He promised to support it in the US and was paid for speaking about it. Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton have a joint bank account which means she may have financially benefited from his support of the trade deal.

You can't play both hands against the middle. Bill Clinton is campaigning for Hillary and he has to give to the people the same message that Hillary is giving, if not his campaigning for her is a loss cause, it matters what the both of them are saying to the people, I guarntee you he is not telling them that he is for Columbia Trade and she is not, this is called a ( CONFLICT OF INTEREST ).
" YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME OF THE TIME, BUT YOU CAN"T FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME "
Hillary does not care how she wins, just as long as she wins. The dirty lie that she did with Obama about NAFTA, now that lie is coming back to her, apparently she is not concerned about the middle class, their jobs, their mortgage, the words that she and Bill are speaking are just IDLE words. The sad part of all of this is that Hillary didn't fire Mark Penn just demoted him and he is still on her staff, so what does that tell you? She really can't afford to get rid of him because she owes him money.

JackSmith1, what thirty-five years of experience does Hillary Clinton have? Do you mean as a Goldwater girl? As a member of union-busting Wal-Mart's Board of Director? As a cattle-futures trading queen? First lady of Arkansas (the second most backwards state in the union)? The United States (remember her health care plan failure)? Senator from New York (no real accomplishment there)? What experience? Northern Ireland peace agreement? Kosovo? Bosnia sniper fire? Lies they all are? Uninsured pregnant woman story? Story not vetted for accuracy. So tell us again what thirty-five years of experience that qualifies Hillary to be President. With verifiable details, not meaningless or false words. Thank you!

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot!
If you don't know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to try and defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering...
You see, back in 1993 Hillary Clinton had the audacity, and nerve to try and get quality, affordable universal health care for everyone to prevent the suffering and needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of you each year. Naughty Girl. :-)
Approx. 100,000 of you die each year from medical accidents from a rush to profit by the insurance, and medical industry. Another 120,000 of you die each year from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don't die from. And I could go on, and on...

After long consideration I am afraid that I have decided to change my mind and now feel that there is only one possible candidate for the nomination and that is Hillary Clinton.
I personally feel that with her nomination she has every chance of claiming the big prize in 9 months time.
She has not only written this election story as it now unfolds, but has produced and directed many of its twists and turns :- Tears, war zone heroism, hospital tragedy, [ and here I do mean tragedy], leading supporters in sex scandals, international intrigue, wheeling and dealing, Jack Nickelson supporting.....one could go on forever listing the score.
Its all now in the hands of the elected delegates to make their choice when the time comes.
So I beg you -push them to VOTE FOR HILLARY

No surprise that he supports the Columbian Free Trade deal. After all we have him to thank for signing and not vetoing NAFTA.
Anyone would be naive to think that Bill Clinton won't have a big part to play in a Clinton administration. Look at the big part he's playing in the campaign and how many of his campaign people are in her organization - ie Penn.
Watching Hillary at this point is more like watching a train wreck.
I'd rather support Obama and help the Dems win in the Fall then keep listening to Hillary's "misstatements". Remember when Bill got on nat'l TV and wagged his finger at all of us, saying "I did NOT have ... with THAT woman, Ms. Lewinsky!!!" Well he did, but you saw how easily he lied? Then flash forward to Hillary, looking us all in the eye numerous times saying "We had to sit on our bulletproof vests (pilot was interviewed lately saying that was totally untrue), run to the car dodging sniper fire, etc. all of which wasn't even close to the truth.
The Clintons have a big credibility problem and I can't understand how it's not equally visible to their supporters.
In the end we're all democrats and we all want a change. And the good news is that we're all registering to vote, debating the issues and pushing our country forward. At the end of the day, that's the important thing.

A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for Bill Clinton. They are a co-dependent couple who will be a co-president Administration. They will sell White House access to the highest bidders. Remember Lincoln bedroom sleepovers and White House coffees for political donations? They will be nothing in comparison to what Bill and Hill will do with blatant impunity.

"Senator Clinton is the candidate for president and she is a clear and firm opponent of the Colombian free trade agreement," said Jay Carson, a Clinton spokesman, who said the ex-president has spoken in favor of the agreement since 2000. 1. How many couples have as much potential influence on DOMESTIC and FOREIGN affairs?
2. What an awesome built in "scapegoat" and or "excuse".
IE.. HRC says "I am against this!"

April said....
This is pathetic, just pathetic and shameful.
But I guess you must report this idiocy: okay Michele Obama said that in her adult life this was the first time that she was proud to be an American (because people were favoring her husband, translated to: people are giving hope a chance) but the media said: she didn't really mean it and He didn't say it, she did.
Hillary Clinton is running for president Bill Clinton isn't. Nothing is more apparent to me than the fact that she is in charge and she will be in charge.
The hypocrisy of the media is something else. Please answer this: when Bill Clinton was president, how many times did the media ask who really ran the White House? Remember that? Now it seems, she had no influence, and that if she were to win he will tell her what to do.
Who the hell cares if he favors the Colombian trade deal. And by the way, "journalists" have your really paid attention to the details of the trade agreement and how it really hurts Americans? YOU HAVEN'T! Because that requires work and some journalism.
I cannot understand how this paper won all those Pulitzers. The Pulitzer has been diminished..
April,
I would agree with you if it were any other political couple.
However, the Clinton's are like a ROYAL DYNASTY. And not a very good one. Their entire relationship is built around political success. Come on, I even saw Chelsie lying for her mother on Bosnia, even as the videos were airing.
This is a FAMILY OF POLITICS and OLD BOYS. Don't be fooled.
If it were any other time in American Politics, HRC would have had a cake walk into the White House.
Can she run the country? SURE
Can she do it in the way many many Americans are demanding? I have serious doubts.
This is a time for change, and I don't see that coming from her camp.
I respect her, I just don't see what I want is a CIC.
An interesting time for our country indeed.

This story along with others about the world of special interest lobbying, is a real eye opener on the workings of government in this bastion of democracy. The verdict is in that it is a really dirty enterprise, fueled by a lust for money and influence.
Bill Clinton has created a very slick enterprise that combines charitable activities worldwide as a cover for acquiring vast wealth through a combination of questionable deals, associations with sleazy operators and peddling influence based on his name.
I believe the voters in Ohio were duped into believing Hillary's campaign message about her support for an anti-NAFTA position, contrary to Obama. Well I believe that recent events have exposed Hillary and her campaign's duplicity on this issue. The question is, will it matter in the minds of the blue - collar
workers of Pennsylvania, or will the issue of race trump self - interest.

I think she probably really doesn't have a real opinion on free trade. I think her real priority is getting elected. And to do that she will say what is necessary. But I don't think she stands a chance of actually being elected. Anyhow, the soap opera continues.
Posted by: Brendan | April 9, 2008 1:30 AM
This article about Mark Penn and Bill Clinton working for a Free Trade deal with Colombia is just one more example of why voters need to reject Hillary.
First: who believes what she says?
Second: who believes Bill Clinton will not influence her policy decisions?
Third: who believes that they care what we think? It is more likely that if they want our opinion, they'll have Mark Penn shape it for us.
Posted by: Anadromous2 | April 9, 2008 1:08 AM
In 2005, the former president Bill Clinton was paid $800,000 by Gold Service International, a Bogota-based business development group, for four days of appearances in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. The group supports, among other things, the Colombia Free Trade Agreement.
Hmm, that means Hillary, as the spouse also got that income (and thus supported the free trade deal too)-so will she fire her husband too like she did Mark Penn?
Posted by: JonathanR | April 9, 2008 12:06 AM
That's it! I'm convinced that Bill has secretely been sabatoging Hillary's campaign from the beginning. He is way too smart of a man (not counting the Lewinsky ordeal) and seasoned politician to let goofs like these happen over and over again. I don't think he really wants to see her as President. How on earth could he make such costly blunders such as losing over 90% of Black approval rating, losing his cool while stumping, and now this. This is HUGE and may very well cost her PA!! Talk about a "wink-wink!" Hillary and now most certainly Bill, knew all about Mark Penn's role in the Columbia meeting- heck Bill might have teleconferenced in as well!
Isn't this just peachy- he'll be for the controversial things that she's against and that way they can continue to straddle the fence and get as many votes as possible. Co-presidency 101 smacking us all right in the face.
Posted by: Co-Presidency 101 | April 8, 2008 11:35 PM
and re: Michelle's comments,
who's to question a Black person about patriotism?
Who is a true American?
The American Black, who can trace his/her roots in this country up to 400 years?
Or you, whose grandfather came to this country within the last hundred years?
The answer, of course, is both.
But, around the world, and here in America...that part of American Culture that is truely loved, is Black, or derived from Black culture. You go to any country in the world, any country, and see what they love about America, and you will hear a litany of music, sports, enertainment figues that will be from the American Black Community.
The air-waves of the world, including America, are rapping and rocking Black American music. (or music that was derived from Black /American culture).
As a 61 year old White man, it bothers me that this race has come down, again, and again, to the artificial question of race. Race is no more important a consideration, than eye color, or hair color: it is not important, it is not in any way relevant.
I'm not voting for a "race". I'm not voting for a "gender". I am voting for a person. I am voting for Obama. For the person: the Harvard educated young Senator from Illinois.
You like him, or you don't.
but don't talk about his eye color, or his hair color....or skin color
it's not important

"Michelle Obama has made disrespectful statements about our country.
You know, it's the same Republican trick of taking someone's words and twisting them to mean something entirely different than what you meant.
Michelle said that for the first time she was really proud of America.
How do you interpret this sentence? Where do you put the emphasis?
The anti-Obama crowd crow over "first time"
me, I think the emphasis is on "REALLY" and "PROUD OF AMERICA".
When you listen to that speech...it's clearly what she meant. So, you can hammer someone over the head, over and over, about perhaps mis-choosen words... or you can get down to what they were really trying to say.
....and quite frankly... I feel exactly the same way. The Obama nomination (and yes, it will happen) does make me REALLY PROUD of America, for the first time in a long, long time.
Personally, I have NOT been as proud as Republicans and Hillary fans must be that America invaded a country that did us no harm.
(because of CLinton's & McCain's voting for it, by the by)
I have not been so proud of America for setting up secret prisons and using torture.
For me, this is not the America that I'm proud of.
and now, with the Obama nomination, I am, for the first time in a long time, starting to feel proud once again about my country: America.
Obama repeats over and over that he trusts the American people's decency. That they will see what's right, what's important, and vote for a change.
I hope he's right

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)
Best regards
jacksmith...

She's not even in the White House yet, and already there is a scandal every week.
The Penn story is supposed to cover up the tax returns. Notice Penn is not really fired. But, their strategy is not going to work. Its just takes a little longer than a weekend to nail down financial leads. Forensic accountants are on it. There will be another scandal there too. Not too mention the 1/2 Billion dollars Bill "raised" for his library.
Have the Clintons been vetted? Do we really want a President thats sleeping with the lobbyists?

I am interested in knowing how svreader, Chief Clinton Apologist, with iowatreasures, thinker, and the other Clintonistas drunk on Clinton punch see this latest revelation. Will they remain in the states of denial, confusion and delusion about the Clintons?

a vote for the Clinton$ is a vote for the "Walmartization" of the USA. (If nothing else, simply look at how cozy their relationship with Walmart has been over the years). still, McCain would be a disaster.
Obama would not have been my first choice, but right now he's our best choice.

I don't believe a word that Clinton says.
She claims that she want to withdraw from Iraq....yet she voted for the war.
She claimed that Fla & Mi didn't count, now she wants to count their delegates.
She claimed she is against free-trade with Columbia, yet her chief campaign manager was taking in hundreds of thousands of dollars to push for that trade agreement.
She claimed she was against free-trade with Columbia, yet her husband made $800,000 giving speeches to promote that trade agreement.
She claims that she fired Mark Penn, but he will still do her polling and be heavily involved with her campaign.
(literally)
This woman is not to be believed ! !

So......does this mean that she DOESN'T have 35 years of experience??? Or that some of those years were negative experiences ???
How many years does Chelsea have?? 28??
Live by the 35 .... DIE by the 35.
Our only questions is:
White - Wheat - or Rye?

So what? and Michelle Obama has made disrespectful statements about our country. So what?

Ohio voters were hoodwinked into voting against their interest and thus helped perpetuate the candidacy of these charlatans. Hopefully blue collar workers in Pennsylvania won't make the same mistake. Don't be fooled again.

You guys are paranoid. Bill and the Colombians are not in bed together. They are just friends. Its strictly platonic. I can't believe that you would even think that Bill would accept lobbying fees from Colombia to push through their Free Trade agreement, and then think Hillary has something to do with it.
Ha ha! Sounds like Bill is cheating again. This time its the American labor movement. And since Hillary was publicly for NAFTA and privately against it, I wonder what her private position is now.

Bill and Hilary makes me sick.

Its like saying the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
Whose campaign is it anyway? Bill is definately doing more campaigning than Hilary. It looks more and more like a 3rd term for Bill.
Posted by: Susan | April 8, 2008 9:12 PM
The Clintons are such LIARS.
WOW! and you really want us to believe Hilary is against it when her husband is being paid to promote it.
Posted by: Lori | April 8, 2008 9:09 PM
I don't see any difference between the Clintons and Pres Mugabe of Zimbabwe.
Like Mugabe, the Clintons are power drunk and don't know how to accept defeat. They are ready to ruin this country in their quest to hold on to power.

The Clinton machine is like a two headed Hydra, having one body with two heads.Say one thing with one mouth and the opposite with the other mouth, so you can persuade the maximum amount of people to like your position.
Posted by: oldman&theC | April 8, 2008 9:04 PM
Bill is looking for a vicarious third term in the Oval Office though Hillary, circumventing the twenty-second amendment of the Constitution. You see it for what it really is - a co-dependent co-presidency.
______________________
We may have to coin a new term: 'co-depressidency."
(Yes, the second "s" is deliberate.)

Who really believes that Hilary was opposed to Colombia trade deal?. I would lay money on the odds that Penn did not go into that meeting without her knowledge and the only reason she is against now it is because it is politically useful to be at this time. Just like it became politically useful to oppose NAFTA whom she stood behind her husband regarding. She and Mitt must've been in the same candidate school.
Posted by: tydicea | April 8, 2008 8:18 PM
Lost in all of this back and forth is the fact that the Colombian deal is a good deal for the US. We get a reduction of tariffs on US goods at the price of merely locking in preferences Colombia's already getting.
But HRC's demagogued the issue, so she reaps what she sowed. ALL trade deals aren't bad, but the ones that have resulted in US jobs being offshored to India and Mexico need to be revisited. And HRC needs to own up that she supported those deals wholeheartedly when she was FL (she probably saw what happened to Gephardt and figured she could get lobbyist contributions later at the cost of some votes on the margin). Does anyone think she won't stick it to the working class that's backing her in the off chance she wins (just like Bill did)?

Why? has this information not been on the main news media. I don't understand, but just as soon as Barack even look like he may sneeze it's running on every headline. This hold Trade thing has been apart of hillary stump speech.
Posted by: kristy | April 8, 2008 8:08 PM
meldupree, you have indeed.
And for months I have been saying if only she had left him at the first humiliation, she'd be campaigning for the general election for a long time already.

P.S. didn't we already debunk the 22nd Amendment bars spouses too?

I don't believe that New York is a "community property" State.
Posted by: JakeD | April 8, 2008 7:40 PM
I have said it time and time again, but you Clintonistas don't want to hear it: Hillary has two albatrosses around her neck.
___________
Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Harridan"?
Posted by: spambalaya | April 8, 2008 7:39 PM
"Who the hell cares if he favors the Colombian trade deal?"
Well, if he was being paid money to voice those views (that is, to lobby for its passage), then since that payment would be community property there'd be an obvious conflict of interest. The money is going to BOTH of them, Hillary included.
Whether any money is involved in Bill's endorsement of the Colombia agreement remains to be seen, but who the hell WOULDN'T care if the Clintons are getting money from the folks pushing the deal? It's NEWS.
Posted by: whatmeregister | April 8, 2008 7:34 PM
Sue B, do you have any doubt that Hill/Bill will be anything other than a co-presidency? Bill is looking for a vicarious third term in the Oval Office though Hillary, circumventing the twenty-second amendment of the Constitution. You see it for what it really is - a co-dependent co-presidency.
Posted by: Meldupree | April 8, 2008 7:28 PM
So now it's more important than ever to know if we're getting a co-presidency. If the Clinton's would just tell the truth about things!
Posted by: Sue B | April 8, 2008 7:21 PM
Remember, both Bill and Hill say they are "two for one." Besides, Hillary regularly takes Bill's accomplishments as her own and Bill, when he gets passionate in his stumping, talks of "we" and "us" and "our" when he should refer to "her" campaign. Google it, I dare you.
Posted by: meldupree | April 8, 2008 7:21 PM
I have said it time and time again, but you Clintonistas don't want to hear it: Hillary has two albatrosses around her neck. She demoted one but stayed with the other! Bill's coattails are becoming nooses and they will hang Hillary before too long!
Posted by: meldupree | April 8, 2008 7:18 PM

I see Mark Penn is the only one inking his pen in another ink well; this is not a new practice for Bill Clinton. Just ask Monica Lewinsky.

Maybe if Bill Clinton did more to get Bin Laden when he had the chance we wouldn't be in the positions we are in today and we wouldn't be losing so many of our soldiers.
But then again George Bush's reasoning for going into Iraq was in retaliation for his own means. Remember the pictures of George Bush's daughers in one of Sadam's mansions?!
It's time for Hill and Bill and George to take their leave! They've all gotten rich off the blood, sweat and tears of the american people!
Who says Hilary gets the "older women" votes? I'm 60 years old and know many other "older" women that are voting for Obama!
