Obama Aides Deny They Will Use White House Controversies Against Clinton
By Jonathan Weisman
Barack Obama's campaign pushed back hard against suggestions from a Democratic strategist, made in today's Washington Post, that the Illinois senator's campaign may dredge up controversies from the Clinton White House years in the run-up to the May 6 Indiana and North Carolina primaries.
In a conference call with reporters this morning, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said flatly, "We're not going to do that," a straight denial he did not offer Tuesday night in an interview with The Post when asked about the assertion.
"That was I think an unnamed strategist claiming to have some relationship with us," Plouffe said. "I can assure whoever was, in an act of puffery, suggesting they had some knowledge of what we're doing is incorrect. We've not talked about those issues in the campaign and won't."
The Post this morning quoted "a Democratic strategist familiar with the Obama campaign" as saying "aides are likely to turn to the controversies" of the Clinton years to try to end the Democratic nomination fight in the next two weeks.
"Everyone knows the history of the Clintons," the strategist said.
When Plouffe was asked about the comments Tuesday night, he responded that Republicans would be bringing up such issues, regardless of what the Obama campaign does.

In short, the Dems are doomed. There is a good reason why the last 10 Presidential terms read like this :
Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Clintion, Bush, Bush.
7 out of the last 10 have been Republicans. The natural Party of Presidents.

The question being asked is " why can't Obama win white working class votes" - when he is winning atleast 35% of that vote on average - in addition to the majority of the college educated, young, white demographic.
The REAL QUESTION which needs to be asked is " Why are the Clintons so hated by the Black community now. They are getting no more than 10% of that demographic. How can ANy Democrat win the Presidencty without the Blacks voting as a bloc for the Democrat"?

Obama has shown that he is beholden to the cultural left and African America wing of the Democratic Party. He will not disavow even the most egregious statements of his past associations - instead his couches his continued support for Rev. Wright and Prof. Ayres in flowery half-truths. Obama's speech on Race fell flat with me. In his speech on race, he called America racist and tried to cover up the fact that he choose to sit in Rev. Wright's pews and listen to him rant. Clinton, with all her faults, will not allow the left to control the agenda of her Presidency. That's why I voted for her husband; and that's why I will support McCain if Obama is the Democratic nominee.

I am glad the Post pursued that angle of no-Clinton White House stuff with Obama's campaign manager.
I look forward to seeing Obama stick to that commitment.

Jacksmith,
So you want to give the nomination to Hillary Clinton??? What koolaid convinces you and others that Hillary can possibly be elected in November? First, you can not win without the black vote and all the young newly registered new voters that you will disenfranchise... and Bill Clinton has taken care of alienating the blacks. Second, why do you think the Republicans are licking their paws to defeat Obama? They know it is a double win for them? Why can't you non-thinkers see Karl Rove directing McCain to follow Bill to the rural areas picking up the black voters that Bill are alienating from the Demoratic party? Do you believe for one moment that the American people will allow an IMPEACHED President to be re-elected for a third term, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, whether it's under the guise of Hillary running or whatever. Do you think that Monica and Jennifer are going to ever go away? Will the White House be the "W" House again? The pardons will be swiftboated across the screen...it hasn't even began but she and Bill will be toast in no time flat. She is totally unelectable and it will never ever happen!!! This is a set up but yet we will be divided by the easiest tool in the book. RACE!

The fact is that Hillary can't close the deal. Obama should have been gone after Super Tuesday according to the Clinton machine which believed Hillary had some type of right to the nomination. How can she beat McCain when she can't even beat Obama.
If she can lose 11 states in a row to a freshman senator she is not the victor she claims.
No politician has ever been elected to high office with such negatives. I have come to believe neither will beat McCain.

Here is Jacksmith again, posting his nonsense. Who are you to say Obama can't be elected? He's winning in nearly every area that matters. The only way he can't be elected is if the racist element (who keep saying he's unelectable) really succeed in dividing the country. I think it is a small minority and I am hopeful we have moved beyond judging people based on the color of their skin.
This country needs to unite and Obama is the only candidate that even stands a chance at accomplishing this goal.

I wish someone would remind the voters of the White House scandals; Whitewater, Rose Law Firm, Billy Dale, Vincent Foster, disbarred, impeached, womanizing liar. FEC fraud. Pardons for family and friends.
I wish the press would report on the current FEC related fraud lawsuit. If it could be proven, Hillary could be facing a 5 year jail sentence. She has her bases covered for the moment with Slapp law, but when she testifies in court on behalf of Bill, her past perjurer could come up.
But, hey, it is the Clintons, so not news worth publishing eh. Did he show up in court today as scheduled? Press is not covering it, so how can I find out?

Your information about Senator Obama is incorrect. His mother and father got divorced. That is not "deserting" him. His father was agnostic, as was his mother. I doubt that his Indonesian step-father practiced Muslim. If he did he would not be likely to marry a woman that did not share a belief in God.

i use to respect the clintons
and its so unfortunate that they have proven themselves so politically venal under pressure, its really unfortunate
obama, for all his flaws, has tried to keep this race on a higherplane
something other than the politics of personal destruction that have so crippled america both domestically and in the world
hillary continues to try to drag it into the dirt as her only chance of winning
but what would she be winning if she wins by dragging the party into the dirt, by stirring its racial polarizations and resentments
what is she doing to the party, what is she doing to america
when she was the anointed leader she fought fair - but when times got hard she got win at any cost dirty and tries to spin it as somehow commendable
the clintons have dusted off all the politics of personal destruction the republicans used on them and turned them on their own
my daddy use to tell me never wrestle with pigs, you only get dirty and the pig enjoys it
but in this case obama doesnt seem to have much of a choice - the clintons efforts show that in american politics, down and dirty still has agency
can the presidency be worth the damage she has done to her lifes work in politics
everything positive that shes stood for has been trashed by her own actions, not her enemies - its like she has joined them against us
obliterate iran? she sound like mcbush lite
we see where swaggering tough guy talk/behavior has gotten us
do we really need another swaggering something to prove cowgirl in the whitehouse
somebody who wins by tearing us apart,
have we not endured this political nightmare long enough - 8 years of resentment politics is enough
its just so unfortunate
i hope when its over that obama and democratic party and all the folk who depend on it can forgive her (and bill, work with her (and bill)
at this point I don't know that I can

Dear Jacksmith,
I hate to burst your little bubble, but "The Clintons" did not win the White House twice... Bill Clinton won in 1992 and 1996 ( each time by less than 50%, hardly a land slide)...
Hillary Clinton's extensive baggage seems to grow daily, and more than 60% of the country think she is dishonest and not to be trusted...
DO YOU REALLY WANT BILL CLINTON RUNNING AROUND THE WHITE HOUSE AGAIN CHASING YOUR DAUGHTER?
And now, Bill Clinton has completed gotten rid of the Black Commiunity with his continued lies and disrespect...
One last bit of reality; Senator Obama leads in popular votes, pleadged delegates, and number of states won.
If that no longer stands for something, then we need to re-write our democracy...

Not a Obama fan, but keeping it real.
The loss was 9.4 percent, not 10 percent for those of you who want to s--t--r--e--t--c--h Billary's kool-aid.
Another unfuzzy math lesson here - Rounding rules dictate that fractions less than .5 round downward to the floor, while fractions greater .5 round upward to the ceiling.
So, make that 9 percent in round numbers, which means that Billary won the PA election in single digits.

Good for Obama not to bring up all of those nasty things that went on in the White House and Arkansas. But McCain and the Republican Party will not be as nice. Remember, Clinton was going to be impeached. How can we forget that American people? Why are you allowing the media to set us up again? Do your homework and research. Hillary cannot win against McCain. Now the Republicans are also using the race card. Democrats, pull yourselves together. America is supposed to be one nation. Don't allow the Karma of America's forefathers come back and bite us. America is not going to be the strongest nation if we do not begin to globalize peacefully. The Clintons (Hillary and Bill) have no intention of having peaceful negotiations between the age old problems between Christians and Muslims -- plus women have no leading role in the Muslim countries -- will they really want to talk to Hillary?
America -- don't be fooled, Hillary cannot win and if we are stupid, Bush politics continue.

All respect and admiration I used to have for the Clintons has been killed by her egotistical, destructive, self serving insistence on staying in the race.
Better people than her had the grace to bow out. Yes, she has a right to stay in, but that isn't the point. I might have a right to demand the right of way when I am driving, but if I cause a trainwreck then that wasn't a good choice, was it? It isn't all about her or her right.
This is 2008, and the longer she stays in the race the more she hurts the Democratic party, and the more she resembles a Fox News/Carl Rove wannabe. She is dishonest, uses gutter tactics, would stoop to absolutely anything, and I mean anything to win. She claims she will unify the party after she gets the nomination, but is so clueless and destructive she does not realize that by then it will be beyond repair.
Obama is everything she is not. He is wise, intelligent, skilled, principled, capable, and trustworthy. I didn't "get it" at first. I am in my 50's, a woman, and Hispanic. At first I too was fooled by Hillary, but not for long.
She is not the better choice. She is not good for the party. She is not good for the country. She is a spoiler, and the sooner she is gone the better. The right wing Republicans have been cheering her on like mad. There must be a reason. They know Obama will win, and she never will.
Obama has around 1.3 million individual campaign contributors and growing. His campaign has more money because "The People" want him, not her. She can sling mud, lie, twist the truth, create her own reality, put on her phony acts, make personal attacks, and continue acting desperate and destructive, and she still won't win. All she is doing is hurting the party and hurting the country.

Dear JackSmith - Working Class,
Hillary has no chance in winning in November. She has more in common with Gorge Bush that John McCain; more than half the country hates her and find her untrustworthy. The media is doing a great job running up their ratings and making this competion closer than it is.
Hillary is the democratic version Gov. Huckabee, she has not chance in winning but wants to stay in the race to divide the party until they give her the nomination. It didn't work for Huckabee and it will not work for Hillary.
The media knows it, this is a blow out. He has won 15 more states, 140 more delegates, and 500,000 more popular votes.
Please tell Hillary nice try, but we don't count Florida and Michigan, she must have forgot, or missremebered like the Bosinia story; she agreed not to count these states along with the other democratic candidates.

Has anyone noticed that Hillary is so uninspiring and at a loss for leadership that her campaign has taken to "copying" Obama's slogans of "Yes We Can!"? How about Hillary's recent comments that the PA win was a win for the PA voters? These comments were "stolen" by Hillary from Obama to boost her popularity and to add credence to an already losing campaign. Also, it appears that women in general and white women in particular are so caught up with having a woman president they are overlooking many of Hillary's glaring deficiencies. She does not impress the majority of the American people as someone who knows what she's doing on day one! Rather, she strikes us as someone who wants what she wants on day one and will promise everyone what they want so that she can get what she wants...problem is that she is only making certain special interest promises as usual so that this Country can run as it always has operated. It's time to turn the page people! We need a better government!

I am in agreement with all of the Obama supporters and those undecided people who are viewing the true reality. Clinton's days are numbered. Her recent win was grossly exaggerated. Obama is clearly the best choice. His intelligence, demeanor, ability to inspire etc so far exceeds Hillary that many are stunned, including me, that Hillary is still talking and dreaming of the Whitehouse. In order for her to win, she has to "play around" with the voting numbers. What type of foolishness is that? Get it together! Hillary is a loser and everyone knows it, despite the PA primary 10% or less lead!

OBAMA STILL TAKES OIL MONEY
By Dan Morain
Sen. Barack Obama continued accepting donations from oil company executives and employees last month even as he aired ads in which he stated he took no oil company money, his campaign finance reports show.
Obama has taken at least $263,000 from oil company executives, family members and employees since entering the presidential race last year, including $46,000 last month. At least $140,000 has come in chunks of between $1,000 and $2,300, the maximum permitted under federal law.
Texas oil executive Robert L. Cavnar of Milagro Exploration and his wife, Gracie, have helped the Illinois Democrat raise at least another $50,000 by helping host a fundraiser earlier in the campaign.
Other oil industry donors have included Sinclair Oil President Ross Matthews of Texas and John B. Hess, chairman of Hess Corp., a New York-based oil producer and retailer with operations worldwide.
Hess, who has given to other presidential candidates, including Sen. John McCain, gave $2,300 to Obama last year, as did his wife, Susan. Hess gave $14,000 to Obama's Senate run in 2003. The oil executives did not return phone calls.
In the weeks leading up to the Pennsylvania primary, Obama aired a campaign spot in Indiana and Pennsylvania that sought to reinforce his theme that he would change the Washington culture, while also tapping into voter distress about the high price of gasoline. In the ad, he called for a windfall profits "penalty."
"Since the gas lines of the '70s, Democrats and Republicans have talked about energy independence but nothing's changed -- except now Exxon's making $40 billion a year and we're paying $3.50 for gas. I'm Barack Obama. I don't take money from oil companies or Washington lobbyists, and I won't let them block change anymore," says the spot, which aired as recently as April 8.
Obama's ad is factually correct. He does not take money from oil companies. A 1907 federal law bars all corporations from giving money to political candidates. However, oil company employees can make donations.
As the ad aired, Obama took $12,400 from oil company executives and employees in increments of $1,000 or more. Altogether, people who identify themselves as working for oil and gas companies donated $46,000 in March.
Obama spokesman Ben Labolt said unlike Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and McCain, Obama refused to take money from federal lobbyists and political action committees.
"He accepted no contributions from oil and gas company political action committees, or from those who are paid to lobby Congress on behalf of oil and gas companies -- the money that is intended to purchase influence and access on behalf of corporate interests," Labolt said.
Clinton countered Obama's ad with one detailing his oil company-related donations from employees and executives of Exxon and other major petroleum companies.
Factcheck.org, part of the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania, also chastised Obama for airing the spot.
"From our perspective, if there is a distinction between oil company PACs and lobbyists, and their executives, it is a mighty fine line," said Sheila Krumholz, director of the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks campaign donations. "They all represent the same interest -- oil."
Bill Mintz, communications director for Apache Corp., a Houston-based oil company, said his decision to give -- he contributed $2,300 in February before Obama's ad aired -- was neither solicited by his company executives nor by Obama's campaign.
Mintz said in an interview that the Obama ad did not make him regret his donation. But he also said the spot underscored what he saw as a persistent problem in the political discourse over energy.
"I don't think either party is addressing the country's and world's energy needs realistically," Mintz said. "We're not going to produce our way out of this and we're not going to solve the problem with conservation and alternative energy."

Obama has too much class and too much intelligence to stoop to Clinton smear tactics. He's ahead and his job is grind out his victory and bring the party together - not drive it apart as Hillary and Bill are trying to do. The superdelegates will support the delegate winner. Clinton will even lose her mythical vote count (with Obama getting 0 in Michigan where he wasn't on the ballot) when the North Carolina voters reverse the numbers that Pennsylvania just put up.

I don't expect Obama to sink that low enough to pull out those so many skeletons in the Clintons closet, even though there is plenty to finish them for good. He is that sort of person. Honourable and queitly courageous. That is the reason why I am for Obama through thick and thin.
The only problem with this is that, as has been shown in PA a couple of days ago, this will not be appreciated by the majortity of working class people who are just so used to gutter politics which the Clintons are so good at.
Anyway, I think Obama just should be himself, without feeling the pressure to imitate Clinton. Winning the nomination is only a short term reward. Winning a respectable place in history is quite different. Clinton should remember that.

Remember the promise to throw the kitchen sink at Obama. Why isn't Monica Lewinsky fair game? Do you want a President who lies about being under sniper attack. A president who dismisses lies as having mispoken due to lack of sleep. Ridiculous. How could the superdelegates consider this Clinton mess to be a viable respectable President for the United States.

If Hillary Clinton wasn't able to keep her eye on her husband while he cheated on her right under her nose, in the White House, what in the world would make anyone believe that she can keep her eye on the country when that purported call comes in at 3:00 a.m.? Sadly, Hillary Clinton doesn't care about America or its citizens, all she cares about is her inflated ego. If she cared about the United States, she would have dropped out of the race a long time ago. She can't win against McCain. That's why the dirty republicans who no longer need to worry about who their candidate will be have switched parties in order to vote in the democrat primaries and pushed Hillary Clinton into wins, albeit by very slim margins. Obama can win against McCain. Clinton cannot. If you want another 4 years of George W. Bush, vote for Hillary Clinton in the primaries. If you want to end the madness that Bush has inflicted upon the United States the last 8 years, then you must vote for Obama. It's that simple. No vote for Obama equals McCain in the White House and 4 more years of George W. Bush policies. This country simply cannot withstand another 4 years of republican rule. If McCain is elected, our country will collapse. Vote for Obama, or the U.S. will be finished. Yes, it's that serious.

I'm not defending Clinton per se. Just like to see a level playing field at least, and she was struggling uphill until March 13. Obama's character then became better known. Had it been known earlier,
the primary results would be different today. That's unfortunate for her in terms of fairness.

It beats my imaginations to see people argue like illiterates, every game has a rule, what is popular votes? popular votes in the contest of this game is delegates which is 2024. It will be morally wrong to put off someone ahead and bring in the person at the bottom as the nominee. I understand the way Hillary feels, she thot the presidency is her birth right but when proved wrong by a junior senator she seems mad at it. Apparently you missed the comments about MLK. Here is Hillary's comments about MLK in 2007:
"Today, New Yorkers and Americans honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. At this moment of great challenge for our country, I hope we can draw strength from the spirit of Dr. King, ....Still today, his words and works live on in our consciousness as an inspiration and a call to action."
Here are King's remarks about America:
"America is founded on genocide."
"We are criminals in that (Vietnam) war."
"The greatest purveyor of violence in the world today is my own government."
So King's words, delivered from the pulpit no less, are an inspiration to Hillary.
Guess that nixes Hillary's chances to lead.

An election campaign is, in a way, kind of a show where candidates compete and the audience - the voters - decide who they prefer. But the position of a president is a job and criteria to be chosen for a job are radically different. And this must be the major theses against Clinton:
1. Hillary Clinton tells that she has a better experience. But the longevity of experience is only important for pension. It is performance that is important for getting the job. And with performance the picture is radically different - nearly every time it is like "being under sniper's fire in Bosnia" or another tall tale. So, experience is long but performance is poor.
2. Being President is not a contest before the audience - the President's work is relation with the Congress. In election contest she emphasizes her smearing tactic which she uses from the very beginning, from the promise to demonize all her opponents to her Health Care proposals in 1993. And, as we have seen then, smearing one's opponent is a bad tactic: smearing insults your opponents and alienates them. But no-rules street fighting is a bad methodology for President. As a result opposition becomes much stronger and often insurmountable. As Hillary Clinton definitely will not change, she would be a disastrous President. It seems to me that McCain understood this when he told that he preferred to compete with Clinton.
So, Hillary is smart, Barack is intelligent; Hillary is no-rules street fighter, Barack in comparison is a gentleman; Hillary is an impulsive extremist, Barack is reasonable. No comparison.
One more thing. The major Hillary's fans are groups that 1) Fanatically want just a woman (why not Monica Lewinsky, she has great presidential experience); 2) Believe in her GREAT experience thinking that it equals performance; 3) Are against black (notice: 50% black and 50% white is BLACK not WHITE!); 4) Believe naively that her no-rule street fighting will help her when she becomes President to fight for their interests. In some way, all these issues should be addressed.
Like now many voters (and our number grows steadily), if Hillary Clinton gets the nomination I will vote AGAINST THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY that supports such behavior and vote for John McCain.
By nominating Clinton Democratic Party would lose a lot. Continuing her smearing campaign Hillary Clinton helps McCain, helps Republicans against Democrats.

BARACK OBAMA...THE REAL NOMINEE OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY!
He should NEVER give in to this WITCH! He has far too many people who believe in him and his message. If the Clintons STEAL this nomination the Democrat Party can write off ALL their elections for at least a generation. I promise I will spend my last days on this earth doing all I can to DESTROY what passes for a political party. I will engage my friends, family and concerned strangers to assist me. If she wins by getting the most delegates...more power to her. I will hold my nose and vote for her. But if ONE RULE IS BROKEN to accomodate her ...IT"S ON!!!!!

Maybe we can deport those people who hate our future President back to the country of their origin.

"One is tempted, however "losing one's vote"
is not a pleasant gamble."
The only vote lost is the one not cast. I vote my conscience and that is what would keep me from voting for Clinton.
As for the anti-American nature of Obama's affiliations, one preacher in Chicago should not be used as the penultimate standard. After all, nearly everyone wants to sidle up to the image of Dr. Martin Luther King (at least every February) to show their solidarity with a man who pursued the path of peace. Consider this observation from a pastor, published in my local paper just last Sunday (the person "Kitner" in the following wrote a letter to the editor on April 13th):
----------------------------------------
"A final misunderstanding from Kinter is to domesticate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He makes an unfavorable comparison between Wright and King, describing King as "perhaps the most notable minister who practiced Black Social Gospel." The implication seems to be that Martin Luther King Jr. never said anything or did anything that was offensive.
If all one knows about Martin Luther King Jr. is his famous "I have a dream" speech, then I suppose one could easily reach that conclusion. I have had the rare privilege of hearing Dr. King speak in person and, on one occasion, was privileged to shake his hand. I also am old enough to remember some of his statements. He once said, "America is founded on genocide."
One must remember, also, that he was decidedly against American involvement in the Vietnam War. He said, "We are criminals in that war." Again he said, "The greatest purveyor of violence in the world today is my own government."
Perhaps Kintner is too young to remember those statements, but were he around during those days and if Barack Obama had defend-ed King as "the most noble minister practicing the Black Social Gospel," would Kintner accuse Obama of "bad judgment?"
Without affirming or not affirming his candidacy as president, I heartily endorse Obama's speech explaining why, although he did not always agree with his minister, he did not withdraw from his church."
----------------------------------------
Judging Obama based on Wright is a gross misunderstanding of the dynamic and evolutionary nature of Black America.

Role Model for Children - Obama
A few days ago Obama gave the 'finger' to Hillary on national television and smugly laughed about it with his audience. Is this type of malicious immaturity what you want your children to learn: lack of tolerance, vengeance and the bully mentality? After that one event, besides the mindless and uneducated, how could anyone seriously consider this Obama for any office?
Also, Obama's state-senate candidacy was launched at Weather Underground bombers Ayers house in 1995. Ayers who advocates the violent destruction of America may have much more to do with promoting Obama than we know. The organization MoveOn has aggressively intimidated delegates to vote for Obama and to shun Hillary and is likely closely connected with Ayers. Ayers finally got his bomb - Obama.
Obama also rigged his election to become senator by unfairly disqualifying his opponents. He did this by meticulously finding fault with each of the other candidates signed petitions until each of the contenders had to drop out, Obama was the last one standing, there was no election. This was another finger gesture towards the American public by Obama.
If this isn't enough, look at Obama's affiliations:
Wright
Meeks
Ayers
Abongo "Roy" Obama
Rashid Khalidi
Robert Malley
Hamas
McPeaks
Rezko
Auchi
And the list goes on...
This may be the time of the Anti-Christ, but do you want to be on the list of people who voted for him?

I give a bit each month in the hopes that he will win the nomination and general election and turn back this country from the foreign policy, fiscal and economic abyss. I would support Hilary if she had a chance to defeat McCain, I don't think she does. If McCain is elected in November, I will retreat from National politics and national media altogether for the next 4 years; if the economic downturn comes to the San Francisco bay area, then I'll think long and hard about leaving this country for good.

Dear Jacksmith....yes Bill Clinton won the White House twice not Hillary she was not running plus the economy, the war, foreign policies, gas prices, mortgage crises was not part of his administration at the time so he didn't have to prove anyting or work as the next president has to with all parties to bring back this country. Our dollar is the weakest it has ever been and China is buying up our financial companies like crazy. I understand that Hillary has been in the White House for 8 years, met heads of states during that time but that doesn't give her the credibility to run our country. She failed on healthcare, lied about Bosnia, free trade, the Peace Talks, Columbia which her husband and Mark Penn both pushed for, brought up wearing the flag pin and if you notice she doesn't wear one either. Her experiences are no better in foreign policy tht Obama's and her experiences as vast as they are don't show proven leadership in any way.
All I ask is that you be fair when making your assertions about one candidate or the other each has their strengths and each have their weaknesses but that is why when you become the President you surround yourself with people who can guide you. No one is ready to be President on Day One no one is trained for that job there are no courses to take and a diploma that is handed out.
Let's focus on the issues I am tired of Clinton bashing Obama and I am tired of Obama bashing Clinton. I want to hear what each one can do for me as a citizen. If we go by character than Bill Clinton should have never been made President because of his scandalous affairs it was an embarrassment to the country especially when he lied than had to admit to the affairs.
Issues....please stop all the bashing

Even though the Obama camp has said they will not bring up ALL of Hillary's past dirt - you can bet the republicans will IF she wins the nomination. So after all the people that voted for her because she was a white woman realizes the type of woman they voted for and they helped the democrats lose because of it - then maybe they'll will learn to read and find out things for themselves instead of depending on what the spin doctors say.

True enough.
I might have been able to support Hillary had her husband not entered the equation. But he sees her presidency as a chance to redeem his legacy. He will live every day vicariously through her. He will insinuate himself, when he is able (and he will try when ever he can), into every decision that comes across her desk. That makes her taking the oath of office a goal I cannot support. She also has the potential of bringing the same busted group of idiots that populated the Clinton economic and foreign policy team.
She carries not only her baggage but Bill's as well.

Bill Clinton had no coattails in 1992. Hillary's secretive health care campaign cost the Democrats BOTH HOUSES OF CONGRESS IN 1994!
It took till 2006 for the Democrats to regain Congress.
Do you think marginal Democratic candidates will support another Clinton on the top of the ticket, or a young, attractive new candidate who has brought hundreds of thousands of new voters into the Democratic party who are likely to remain Democrats and active for the next generation?

I hate to post again so soon after a long post, but I had to respond to Anthony saying we'd have to make up something about McCain being friends with somebody like Ayers. No need to make it up, Anthony, which is fortunate, because I don't believe in making things up. You can find this on the internet to verify it, if you wish:
Senator John McCain appeared on the radio show of unrepentent felon G. Gordon Liddy on Nov. 7, 2007. This is part of the conversation:
Liddy: Sen. John McCain...[is] a genuine war hero and a man who has been tested as have few men ever, and has passed muster. [He had] an experience in the Hanoi Hilton that was remarkable. I spent five years in prison, but it was here in the United States, and the only torture I endured was being forced to listen to rap music from time to time.
McCain (laughing): Well, you know I'm proud of you, I'm proud of your family, and I'm proud to know your son Tom, who is a great and wonderful guy, and its always a pleasure for me to come on your program. And, congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our country great.

Here's an interesting comparison. From 1915 to 1944, the ten following states had the highest KKK membership in the nation.
Indiana 240,000
Ohio 195,000
Texas 190,000
Pennsylvania 150,000
Illinois 95,000
Oklahoma 95,000
New York 80,000
Michigan 70,000
Georgia 65,000
New Jersey 60,000
Florida 60,000
Of these, Clinton has won 8 of 11. Obama took Georgia and his home state of Illinois. Indiana has not been decided. I think we can all see what's going on here and where Clinton's "support" is coming from.

I will still be voting for Paul in the NC primary and I urge all residents to do the same. Ron Paul may not become president but it is time to show this country and those who have a strong hold on our future that we want the person for the PEOPLE and not who the main steam media tells us are the front runners or who is bought or paid for. Sen. Obama and Mr. Ayers have remained friendly since they met in 1995. They served together on the board of the Woods Foundation. Both spoke at a testimonial dinner for Rashid Khalidi, a former PLO spokesman who is now a professor at Columbia University. (Mr. Khalidi is another of Sen. Obama's circle that journalists covering his campaign don't think you need to know about.) Sen. Obama said his relationship with Mr. Ayers is inconsequential because he was only eight years old when Mr. Ayers was planting his bombs.

Jacksmith,
The reason Obama is leading in delegate count, popular vote, and in national polls is because he has been the stronger candidate. The reason we have these primaries is to choose the strongest candidate.
Clinton won by 8.5% in a state where she has family roots & at a time when the media has been climbing down Obama's throat in character assasination mode. It was not enough to catch Obama's lead.
The real question is why was the vote so close? Clinton's negativity ratings are evidence of how most people feel. She has changed her mind on key issues-- the war and NAFTA. Her judgement is questionable. She has no moral center. Nevermind her negativity ratings. She can't possible beat McCain.

@Billw
"Exposure of Obamas close relationship to shady characters..."
Coming from a Clinton supporter, this is rich indeed!
I don't think there are enough electrons in the 18 Billion year old universe to list all of the shady characters in the Clinton's past. Shall we wait until after the convention to begin listing them, or shall we begin now.
What do you say, Bill?
Have you had contact with Jim and Susan McDougall lately?
Did you know there is a web site filled with people who are associates of the Clinton's who have either done time in prison or who are serving time?

Due to Senator Obama's blind pursuit of the nomination, he will set race relations in this country back 50 years. Did he really think that he and his surrogates would get away with calling white voters racist if they didn't vote for him... Well, know all polls show that in the long run, they won't. Only African Americans are voting for him and yet they are not labeled racists. Also, he states he's the candidate above the fray, however, he has shown he is everything but and will resort to vicious attacks and negative campaigning. Unfortunately for him, he has yet to see what the RNC will level against him.... That's why it's imperative that he not get the nomination... It will destroy him....
