Obama Plans May General Election Organizing Launch

By Shailagh Murray
Pivoting to general election mode, Sen. Barack Obama's campaign announced a 50-state voter registration drive that will kick off four days after the May 6 primaries in North Carolina and Indiana.
"Vote for Change" will summon the volunteer army that Obama has amassed in the 47 states and territories that have already held primaries or caucuses this year, along with the nine yet to come. Deputy campaign manager Steve Hildebrand described the effort as a "sustained 6-month campaign" aimed at driving up turnout for all Democratic candidates in November.
Obama's campaign has waged aggressive turnout drives in individual states, including Pennsylvania, where nearly 230,000 Democrats registered before the April 22 primary, most of them Obama supporters. New registrations have hit 165,000 in North Carolina and topped 150,000 in Indiana -- and unlike in Pennsylvania, both of those May 6 states open the primaries to unaffiliated voters (and Republicans too in Indiana), meaning they don't have to register as Democrats to participate.
The program's other aim is to signal to Democratic leaders, and in particular uncommitted superdelegates, that Obama is the stronger general-election candidate. His 50-state strategy may have cost him votes in big states like California, Hildebrand and others have long argued, but the result of having campaigned everywhere is a nationwide grassroots organization, unlike any ever created by a presidential candidate.
Hildebrand cited Wyoming as an example. The March 8 caucus state got little attention from Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and it's a long shot as a Democratic pick up in the presidential election. But Obama, who beat Clinton in Wyoming easily, built a volunteer team there that can now be dispatched to aid Gary Trauner, who lost a 2006 race for the state's at-large House seat by 1,000 votes. Trauner has a better shot this year: the GOP incumbent who beat him, Rep. Barbara Cubin, is retiring. "We're looking for opportunities beyond the presidential campaign," Hildebrand said.
He confirmed that the campaign also is close to cutting a deal with the Democratic National Committee to conduct joint fundraising, an effort initiated by the DNC, which is seeking a similar deal with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign. "It is something that we're moving forward with," Hildebrand said.

Hey, when is Obama closing the deal?
Oh, I forgot: Is he closing the deal? Or rather, CAN he close the deal?
Let's worry about Nov, if (and ONLY IF) he can get pass Jun or Aug.
He would certainly appeal to the dreamy type (20 something college kids), cuz he's still dreaming on. THAT is quite something, for a "change".

To Michelle63: Have you been sleeping in the past month? Obama is "honest"? He's the "uniter"? Man, you're so far out there.
For those who've been following what his so-called great judgment, would fully know now that except for the ONLY ONE judgment on Iraq vote that he had touted again and again, every single thing (his 20-year-long association with Wright; his failure to take action on Wright swiftly; his association with Renko; etc) proves to me otherwise.
If I want someone to know the bread-and-butter issues (health care, economy) intimately, and have well thought out plans to fix issues for me, that would be Clinton, and certainly NOT Obama.
For all that I've heard of the things against Clinton, it's always been that we've-had-enough-of-clinton. But I would say, if you give me another 8 years of economy like Bill Clinton had delivered, I would be cheering now.
Obama's facade is falling apart now, because the more we look at him, the more he's under scrutiny, the less substance he's showing by the day. He said he won't go negative, but of course he would. He said he would bring change and a different kinds of politics, but of course it's the same old thing. (With his naivety, he won't be able to get another meaningful passed the Congress.)
Obama should perhaps follow the footsteps of the Wright and become a pastor. Afterall, most of his flock would respond well to his slogans chanting (remember the "yes we can" line?) in sermons, and won't talk back or ask him questions. He would fare much better in those, like his big crowd rallies. But now, as he staged the small group town hall meetings, we know that he's unable to connect, particularly to the Dem core, except blacks who will vote for him just by his claiming to be black. Oh yes, I'm being harsh on Obama. But then, he's really an OREO to me, like "I'm black, but I'm not really black", or "don't tell me I'm black". He's so fake.

It is unfortunate that this campaign brings out the prejudice, jealous, haters.
Barack Obama is the only Presidential Candidate, poised, honest, a Uniter and will bring Change in Washington.
The other candidates, Hillary who?
Bush/McCain who?
BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!

What is the matter with everyone. My mortgage payment dont know what color I am or if I can spell. My gas tank dont know what color I am or if I paid my car payment. When my children are sick, the ER dont ask why you are here, until you tell them you have insurance (or not). Wake up people. Democrats...we must find a way to come together. Obama or Clinton can not win on their own.
I am a Black Female Floridian who voted for Clinton (most of us did), but who would gladly vote for Obama, if he is nominated. And for those of you who are wondering why I did vote for her..here are the two reasons....she will stop the war immediately and her health plan covers all americans, instead of phasing all american in bits and pieces. Knowing the government as we do, that could take years. Covering the children is OK, but if the parents are still dying while they are waiting to be phased in by the government, who is left caring for the orphaned children?? The State??
And truth be told, If Obama gets in the White House, he would be a fool not to implement some of the policies that Clinton has spoken about. For one, releasing the oil to immediately, if not permanetly, lower gas prices. This is something I personally have not heard him speak about, maybe he has, I just have not heard him.
What I'm saying is this...every politician lies..or they would not be a politician. I would not vote for one who told the truth, because I would know that person is not a politician, and dont need to be there because he/she would be eaten alive by the parannas. Learn how to separate the junk from the issues and vote according to how you feel and whats important to you. My issues are the war and health insurance. My main issue is McCain has been in the senate making decisions on our economy over 20 years...and actually admitted he does not know anything about the economy...what has he been doing for the past 20 years. Now we know why the economy is the way it is....the ones voting for it dont know jack about it?? Whats up with that??
Decide whats your issue, if you know, and choose......its as simple as that. And dont fault anyone because their issue is different from yours.
Also, having just gone thru a period of having the word CHANGE thrown around our company, and have had numerous employees lose their jobs because of that word, I for one am not willing to run towards the word CHANGE so quickly. Actually, we're sorry our old boss left. I'm sure a lot of the unemployed today heard that word CHANGE, and is not running towards it either. Maybe that's why Obama has not been able to close the so-call "deal". Dont get me wrong, change is a good thing sometimes, but not all the time.
Just a thought....

I and -MILLIONS- like me will vigorously campaign against Hillary Clinton should she STEAL the Democratic nomination. Carve this in stone - she will NOT be elected after this display of Egomania at the expense of the American public. Carve it DEEP in stone !
-and I voted her into her senate seat. Fool me once... NEVER again. Never.

I think Obama will quit before June.
I sense that perhaps he is beginning to fall apart because he is talking about feeling bitter that he did not get the nomination locked up sooner, encouraging an Indiana crowd to feel bitter with him by chanting "Yes, we're pissed," and appears afraid to debate Hillary one-on-one. To be honest, I've never heard a candidate have such a chant. It's bizarre.
This no longer sounds like the candidate of hope for America to me. He needs hope for himself.
And not someone ready to either continue the fight for the nomination or the presidency - let alone be ready to take action on day 1 as president.
I hope he makes it emotionally, given the pressure he is under to succeed in front of the black constituency he has so arduously courted.
Perhaps it's been too much, too soon for him - like rock stars who get successful too fast and just don't know how to handle it. Perhaps he is just too politically immature to continue the run.
Hillary has gotten beaten up and beaten down so often, she knows just how to recover. And she does. She's just one tough person.

Hillary Clinton, as with the Bosnia sniper fire delusion, suffers from a fantasy that she is the front-runner, and with her forever shifting goalposts, her new fuzzy math and kitchensink-sewer, failed and bankrupt campaign, wants Obama to give her FREE AIR TIME to debate her for the TWENTY-SECOND time. I am an Asian American feminist older than Mrs. Clinton and as an American patriot, I need to do the right thing and tell Mrs. Clinton, shut up already! The Clinton dynasty has been spoiling not just Obama's race in November but also the entire Democratic Party and its representatives'--congressmen, governors, district officers, mayors, etc, etc--abiliity to win in future elections. Bill is fighting Obama to return to the WH for a third term, and Obama has been fighting not just two Clintons (both playing every dirty card in politics) but also the GOP and the mainstream media who want to see the contest continue and their high ratings maintained. Senator Obama MUST denounce and reject Hillary's shameless agenda, to gain free public airtime off his back. He MUST stop treating Hillary as an older white woman like his mother and therefore to be respected and see her for the corrupt (25 million dollars gained from influence peddling last year alone), lying (Bosnia sniper fire), bullying (Judas name-calling), ruthless (just look at her ads), unelectable (highest negatives ever in a presidential candidate, and negatives increasing every day) small human that she is. He MUST begin to draw the contrasts in campaign tone, character, and track record on community work and protection of our constitution that show Hillary as the base candidate that she is.

Senator Barack Obama has built a formidable grassroots campaign, which scares both establishment Democratics and right-wing Republicans like Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh alike. Senator Obama offers an alternative both to Senator Clinton and Senator McCain who talks about "respect" but practises hate (e.g. his scurrilous effort to link Senator Obama to some obscure comments made by a north American Hamas spokesperson whose name nobody can recall. There is zero connection and Senator McCain is disgraceful for trying to make one -- and for folks like Wolf Blitzer on CNN for repeating this as if it had any merit rather than being innuendo and a stretch.)
1. Lets talk about the media and the Repubs. The mainstream media clearly is positioning itself to be a cheerleader for Senator John McCain. Arianna Huffington is right to take this up on the HuffPost, including to take Howard Kurtz to task for failing to reflect upon this media bias. Fact of the matter is, Newsweek hired Rove; CNN hired Charlie Snow; and of course the NYT has given the unabashed Bush-McCain supporter Bill Kristol a platform to spew vitriol against Senator Obama and protect himself with "freedom of the press".
Karl Rove now gets to chart strategy from Newsweek, although he has a conflict of interest -- he is a Sen McCain advisor. Mr Limbaugh has launched a campaign, "Operation Chaos" to encourage troublemaking republicans to vote for Senator Clinton to extend the blood-letting within the party. We might call these the new Democratic voters the Senator Clinton-Rush Limbaugh democrats, a rather unsavory alliance.
2. About the Democrats: One of the dangers that some Democrats are missing is that the Clinton dynasty (which aims to match the George H Bush and George W Bush one) holds the party hostage. President Clinton was the last Democrat to hold the highest office. Lots of folks are indebted to him. In fact President Clinton now thinks those who worked for his presidency OWE his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. This alone can account for James Carville's despicable attack on Governor Richardson for his wise decision to endorse Senator Obama.
One can only imagine what the Clinton-attack machine will do to former Hillraiser (Clinton fundraiser) who switched to Senator Obama after the Pennsylvania primary citing his concerns with the negativity of that campaign and the damage it is doing to the Democratic Party. According to CNN's Political Ticker story: "Gabriel Guerra-Mondragon - who served as ambassador to Chile during the Clinton administration - had raised close to half a million dollars for Clinton's campaign, reports Chuck Todd, who broke the story." The Ambassador goes on to say: "We're just bleeding each other out," Guerra-Mondragon told the Washington Post. "Looking at it as coldly as I can, I just don't see how Senator Clinton can overcome Senator Obama with delegates and popular votes. I want this fight to be over, the quicker the better"."
The third most senior Democrat in the Congress, and House Majority Whip Clyburn called President Clinton's conduct "bizarre" and willfully causing irreparable harm in the African American community. However, it is clear since South Carolina that the Clintons have cut loose African Americans. I appreciate Senator Obama's support for reconciliation and redemption but it will be a hard slough to reconcile with the likes of Carville and the increasingly bizarre Bill Clinton.
What Senator Obama has done is created a complex coalition, that includes a massive grassroots alternative to the Clintons (those Senator Clinton dismisses as "activists") and it is no surprise that the entire family is on the campaign trail talking about "WE". (And the mainstream media gives each of them a lot of time, especially on CNN -- so much for objectivity and fair coverage. FoxNews is, of course, Senator McCain TV.)
Question for Democrats: What kind of party do you want? What does it say about you and if, in fact, you vote for Senator Clinton are you essentially saying, what is good for the goose is good for the gander (because the question it raises is then why for Senator Clinton who is so much like Senator McCain?)
3. So what Senator Obama faces its a 2-front attack machine, from Senator Clinton and Senator McCain, which uses the mainstream media as its propaganda machinery to regurgitate untruths and innuendos. The mere fact that Senator Obama has withstood these attack machines speak to his resilience and strength, as well as his personal dignity, integrity and statesmanship.

I am a middle aged woman that is tired of the old style politics. I want someone young, inspirational and fresh, that is why I support Barack Hussein Obama. He has at times found himself at odds, like every other contender, but he handles his negatives with grace, diplomacy and a level of calm that is not seen in the other nominees. He made the correct choice first time around, like many of the other world leaders at the time, he was against the war with Iraq. He has made tremendous strides against the Clinton machine when you consider his odds to start with. What you see is what you get, he does not doublespeak or forget his statements. GO OBAMA!

Some friends and I traveled from NY & NJ to help get out the vote in PA last Tuesday. I witnessed first hand the marvel of the Obama grassroots organization. Our job was to knock on doors of confirmed supporters to assure that they had made it to the polls. We went back to some neighborhoods 4 times winnowing down the list until we has talked to everyone.
The whole process was extremely positive, energetic and fun. For the most part the three of us were the only white faces walking those blocks of Philadelphia. I made my own "Grandma's for Obama" teeshirt for the day, complete with kid photos and it had the desired effect of smiles from other Grandmas on our route and occasional shout outs from the stoop of "Hey Grandma" "Thanks for coming out". We were warmly welcomed wherever we went.
The campaign folks were all volunteer but one. They were to a person - focused, cordial, organized and very upbeat.
Whatever the result of the Democratic Primary this new voter thrust will be trans formative for the country - enlisting more and more people to participate and VOTE.

A coupe of observations. First, for those of you who are clearly so disturbed by Rev. Wright, is there a different standard you are using for his association with the Clintons? Wright was one of a parade of pastors called to the White House to help the couple heal, post-Monica Lewinsky. Which apparently worked, as they are both still together.
The second more puzzling issue: Why is the question being framed as "Why can't Barack Obama close the deal?"
Sen. Obama built his organization from nothing in 15 months. Sen. Obama's campaign is flush with money that they raised well and managed well. His core position is that we are in this together to save our country so HE is registering unprecedented 100s of 1000s of voters.
Sen. Clinton has been insisting that she has the political base, built over decades, and the experience and the connections. Her campaign has been so badly managed financially that she had to loan herself $5 million and she's STILL in debt?
Shouldn't we be asking, why can't SHE close the deal? How many new voters is SHE responsible for registering? With the economy tanking and at the top of voter concerns, shouldn't we be worried that, if she can't manage her campaign finances, how can she manage the nation's?

Hey Obamamama:
I noticed your post ending with "reparations now!" How come we haven't filed a law suit against the Dutch and Portugese Governments? The shipping and trade records still exist (I've looked into it). Then, we need to track down the middlemen (by now the family tree should be quite large) and the purchasers (their families that is) and bring them into the action. Then we need to bring in everyone (again, family relation) who was white and lived south of the Mason-Dixon line pre-civil war and cite them in as additional parties. But, h-m-m-m, I think we may have a problem with suing the state governments, minor issue of sovereign immunity and then there is the retroactivity issue in applying the Civil Rights Act of 1964 100 + years retroactively. But, of course we can enlarge the defendant class to pay reparations to include every white person who lived in the United States prior to 1865/66 and sue their families. Man, whatta class action! I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Of course, the defendant pool can be enlarged, but there may be a problem with our suing those people who came over here post civil war, like the Irish, Italians, Jews, Chinese, Russians, Albanians, etc. But wait! Hey, they are either white or close enough to white...oh, who cares. They go down for the count too. I think its time we woke up and stopped complaining and helped ourselves. It's is to complain about injustice, either past or present, it's something different to do something POSITIVE about it. Reparations? pure nonsense.

In the meantime, stick to your lattes,IPods and the word "Pink" written across your arse (Oh, it's so-o-o cool!). Change for the sake of change is not good. Be careful of what you ask for. Incidently, one person did respond directly to my post. Specifically commenting that Colin Powell sold the war. Well, I think you should do a little reading on the subject as to what was really going on relative to Powell's support for or thougts about going into the war. That is why he ultimately left the administration.
As to invading Iraq, he made the prophetic

Hillary may want to cook the results or suggest that the women of the entire planet should have voted for her ... or whatever. She may even want to hold her breath or roll on the floor at the Convention but Obama is the nominee. And there is an election in November that needs to be won.

OBAMA has challenged one of the most powerful democrats in office and it appears he has wrapped up his nomination as the Democratic candidate for the presidency. And he did it without changing any rules, without stooping to any dirty campaign tactics, and without pandering to large corprate donaters.
Some people like to ask why hasn't he closed the deal, well, lets not forget the person he's running up against. She's a impressive candidate with lots backing and history in the public eye, it's not like Obama's gonna step in and push her aside without somekind of resistance. It's perfectly normal for people to side with what's familiar to them, and Obama just doesn't have the popularity that Clinton has (and I don't mean in votes).
And lets not forget that Hillary has Bill on her side, he's arguably the MOST powerful democrat serving the public. So, for Obama to have challenged Hillary and do as well as he has is a testament to what a strong candidate he really is.

Are you kidding? Hillary is delusional. She was the only one the ballot in Michigan, hardly a win I would say. There are a lot of people in both Florida and Michigan who are for Obama but did not vote because they believed the election would not be counted. I believe that, if there were a re-election in Michigan, Obama would come out the winner. There are also countless numbers of people who no longer support Hillary but may have voted for her in primaries before she turned ugly. I supported Hillary until she decided to side with McCain against Obama. I am one of many.

The race was over after Clinton lost 11 in a row. She is just so insanely narcissistic to notice. She does not have the integrity, vision, principles, trustworthiness or ability to lead. She cannot win on running a campaign on her own merits so she has gone negative ever since Super Tuesday. It will not work of course because Obama will win the nomination and this year no matter who runs Americans won't vote for McCain (Bush III).

Which polls are you reviewing? Obama is doing quite well against McCain. He is ahead of Clinton in the National polls as well. Yea, like I said, you believe in fairy tales.

IT'S TIME AMERICA:
It's time for everyone to face the truth. Barack Obama has no real chance of winning the national election in November at this time. His crushing defeat in Pennsylvania makes that fact crystal clear. His best, and only real chance of winning in November is on a ticket with Hillary Clinton as her VP.
Hillary Clinton seemed almost somber at her victory speech. As if part of her was hoping Obama could have defeated her. And proved he had some chance of winning against the republican attack machine, and their unlimited money, and resources. In all honesty. I felt some of that too.
But it is absolutely essential that the democrats take back the Whitehouse in November. America, and the American people are in a very desperate condition now. And the whole World has been doing all that they can to help keep us propped up.
Hillary Clinton say's that the heat, and decisions in the Whitehouse are much tougher than the ones on the campaign trail. But I think Mr. Obama faces a test of whether he has what it takes to be a commander and chief by facing the difficult facts, and the truth before him. And by doing what is best for the American people by dropping out of the race, and offering his whole hearted assistance to Hillary Clinton to help her take back the Whitehouse for the American people, and the World.
Mr. Obama is a great speaker. And I am confident he can explain to the American people the need, and wisdom of such a personal sacrifice for them. It should be clear to everyone by now that Hillary Clinton is fighting her heart out for the American people. She has known for a long time that Mr. Obama can not win this November. You have to remember that the Clinton's have won the Whitehouse twice before. They know what it takes.
If Mr. Obama fails his test of commander and chief we can only hope that Hillary Clinton can continue her heroic fight for the American people. And that she prevails. She will need all the continual support and help we can give her. She may fight like a superhuman. But she is only human.
Sen. Hillary Clinton: "You know, more people have now voted for me than have voted for my opponent. In fact, I now have more votes than anybody has ever had in a primary contest for a nomination. And it's also clear that we've got nine more important contests to go."
Sincerely
Jacksmith... Working Class :-)

Obama is named Obama Jr to his father - Barrack H. Obama Sr. He had no control whatsoever over the name that he was given. But blame him anyway, you idiot. Obama has been responsible while the Clintons have kissed up to every republican and gotten their support. Obama has the support of the senators who know him and also know Hillary. So what does that say? Another Clinton presidency would be a dreadful republican repetition of hate and evil. Obama is smart, has wonderful negotiation skills and will work fairly and hopefully will get the congress out of gridlock. The Clintons have shown they will stoop to anything and will use republican tactics greefully. No, I don't want another Clinton in the whitehouse. I stood with Bill for the entire time, but I won't stand with him anymore. Obama is the one to bring hope to the country after the horror of Bush, Cheney and republican fools.

Most of these snarky pro-Clinton posts are not from Clinton supporters. They are McCain supporters looking to stir up trouble. HRC has lost. I have too much respect for the Clinton supporters to believe that they don't realize this. The McCain supporters, however, are deeply freaked that they have a doddering, pandering, flip-flopper running against a 47 year old powerhouse. Their only hope is democratic infighting.
They will continue to stir the pot by posing as Clinton or Obama supporters. Just ignore it and focus on victory in November.

Considering Clinton's debt and minuscule fund raising, it'll be over soon, and Sen Obama will be the Democratic nominee. McCain will be lucky to carry his home state, and maybe FL.
When he gets sworn in, it'll truly be morning in America.

Dear Mr. Obama, if you are a leader, then LEAD !!!
I'm MAD AS HELL! AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANY MORE !!!
That's how REAL people REALLY feel! Trust me, trust the people, trust your own inner voice, Mr. Obama!
I'm mad at the Clintons for being duplicitous, and playing us the common folks like a $2 fiddle. ... In Indiana, she says the issue is "jobs, jobs, jobs, ... and JOBS!" -- Great genius! ... In Pennsylvania, she downs a few whiskey shots and brags about hunting, ... and on and on and on.
For the love of God, how is that any different from Chris Matthews declaring George W. Bush to be a good presidential candidate because "he's comfy to be around and have a beer with". J*SUS CHR*ST!
We the people don't need a genteel inspirational orator and constitutional lecturer! Neither do we need a snake oil salesperson, nor a nuclear Annie, nor a bring-it-on cowboy sequel! We've had it, up to HERE!
For God's sake, for humanity's sake, for posterity's sake, will a REAL leader with a soul on fire come forward? -- because our house is on fire!
Will a REAL leader with intellect sharp as a knife come forward? -- to cut through all this CRAP that pass for news, and debates, and solutions!
Will a REAL leader come forward to DEMAND that we use our God-given human brain, instead of our 10-million year old lizard brain? ... and start talking plain horse-sense to offer some intelligent, tough, honest solutions to get us out of our sh*t-house predicament?
Will a REAL leader with a soul come forward? -- because my soul is sick, and dying a painful death!
Yes, Howard Beale (the mad "Network" anchor) is exactly right, since the 1970's! We are ALL MAD AS HELL, AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANY MORE !!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dib2-HBsF08
Mr. Obama, if you are the right leader, then TAKE CHARGE, and LEAD!
AUDACITY, remember?
Don't jive in front of a sympathetic mass audience like a standup comic, and whine about letting a bunch of yahoo TV anchors waste 45 minutes of 10 million Americans, and letting them highjack YOUR DEBATE and YOUR MISSION !!!
GODAMMIT! I'M M_A_D! WE'RE M_A_D! Our lives have value! ... and if you are our true leader, YOU SHOULD BE MAD AS HELL TOO !!!

When I think of the thousands of people in Iraq who have died and suffered in the last four years, whose homes have been violated, whose families have been destroyed, whose towns and cities have been demolished, whose children have been maimed and blinded, I am speechless with horror.
And then, when I read the never-ending spew of hate, prejudice, stupidity and ignorance of these posts, and consider the imbecility, selfishness, shortsightedness and witlessness of their authors, I am deeply ashamed of the country that spawns such monsters.
There is a lot of work that must be done to right the wrongs that have been committed against our brothers and sisters half a world away. It is up to all of us together to begin that work today.

You mean Bush treating the US Constitution like a "G-- damned piece of paper" right? I mean, look at what they've done to both the 1st and 2nd amendment, not to mention the 4th and several others. And with McCain unable to control the party at all, not even over something stupid like a campaign ad, who in good conscience would allow the Republicans to remain in power?
> If it's "illegal" for Ruch Limbaugh to ask people to register to vote, how can Barack HUSSEIN Obama get away with it?!
It's not illegal to ask. It's illegal to lie about your true party affiliation to vote in a closed primary. Not that that law is enforceable to begin with, so it's not like it matters.
Besides, this will all be over soon after June 3rd. They plan to let everyone have their say, then the "Pelosi group" of undeclared delegates will pledge to the delegate leader, talk about how the people have spoken, and we can all move on. Unless lightning strikes (and it would have to be in the literal sense, at this point), that means Obama. The last state was the biggest prize, and it shifted things by what? 8 delegates? You can't make up a shortfall of well over 100 delegates like that.
P.S. Thanks to both JakeD and the rat for reminding me why I can't vote for McCain, even though I respect him as a person.
I mean, how could I vote for someone with a middle name of SIDNEY??? :-)
But if you want to prove that God is on your side, by all means, let's see if lightning strikes. I can already guess the answer to that, though.

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot! :-)
If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)
If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot! :-)
If you don't know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to try and defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering...
You see, back in 1993 Hillary Clinton had the audacity, and nerve to try and get quality, affordable universal health care for everyone to prevent the suffering and needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of you each year. :-)
Approx. 100,000 of you die each year from medical accidents from a rush to profit by the insurance, and medical industry. Another 120,000 of you die each year from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don't die from. And I could go on, and on...

What will Bill Clinton do during Obama's presidential campaign? Go on Fox and declare his support for McCain?
I still think Hillary's angling for the VP slot on McCain's ticket, so that she can be the Republican nominee in 2012 after McCain makes the decision he'll serve only one term.
Fox already loves Hillary, as does Rush, and Sean, and Scaife. All the old "right-wing conspiracy" enemies of the Clintons adore them now.
So, it does seem that Former President Clinton and Senator Clinton's strategy is for her to find a useful future for her attack dog VP behavior, which would be...being McCain's VP.

just look at all these posts. most seem like bits of dried vomit, what they have spewed before is caked and still on the front of the t-shirt (which was made off shore) with the name of thier favorite candidate.
how about asking did democrats cross-vote so that the most senile and incompetent republican would be nominated?
how about wondering if the race baiting is merely a psychotic reaction to the incessant fear mongering that our post 911 media and politicians have promulgated?
and does anyone think that ranting on a blog will change one other person's mind as to whom they support?
can anyone identify a single politician who has NOT stretched the truth?
does anyone believe in dialogue and the exchange of ideas?
if someone is suggesting that registering voters is a bad thing, i guess they do not believe in democracy.
of course one has to wonder if some of the post are not deliberately provocative for the sole purpose of entertaining the author who has not better to do with his or her time.

which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.

to have ties to Whitewater.
11- Kathy Ferguson, ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in

If Obama loses the nomination. He'll concentrate on 50 -state voter registration for the Democratic Party. I don't see any way he's going to campaign for Senator Clinton. Voter registration is a noble cause and he'll work to register Democrats for November.
There's nothing presumptuous or arrogant about what he's doing. Hillary has the freedom (maybe not the money) to do the same thing. He is wooing the superdelegates by doing this and superdelegates love the fact that he's investing in bolstering Democrat numbers. Hillary is wooing superdelegates by tearing him down. She was approached to set up a joint fund-raising effort with DNC but she hasn't agreed to it yet.
