Clinton Pulls Even on the Air
By Matthew Mosk
Given the huge financial disparity that separates Sen. Barack Obama from Sen. Hillary Clinton, it may be surprising to learn that they are now spending at almost an even clip on television advertising in Indiana and North Carolina.
Obama and Clinton have both been spending about $100,000 a day in Indiana this week, and Clinton's $135,000 daily advertising purchase in North Carolina actually exceeds the $120,000 that Obama is spending there this week, according to Evan Tracey of the Campaign Media Analysis Group.
Tracey said that the two states have a number of other competitive campaigns raging, and that may have limited the available space on TV for Obama to make full use of his financial edge by purchasing more air time.
Obama has been able to put his money adavntage to use, however, by putting ads on the air days ahead of Clinton in each state. So while the two have spent evenly over the past week, Obama has outspent Clinton almost two-to-one in Indiana and North Carolina in order to gain a head start in persuading voters.
That advantage is continuing. While Clinton is only focused on Indiana and North Carolina, Obama has already started airing commercials in Montana, Oregon, West Virginia and South Dakota.

If you have watched Hillary and Obama during the last few days, you will know where the momentum is. Obviously Hillary can't win without the votes from super delegates (just as Obama can't win without their votes!). But if the super delegates ultimately realize that Obama is loosing steam and may simply hand over the presidency to John McCain, they may prefer Hillary to Obama. She still has a tougher road, but if Obama can't prove that he is a winner post bittergate and Wrightgate, then the task of the super delegates will become easier. Politics is often unfair, and if Obama cannot win impressively in places like North Carolina, Oregon, Montana and South Dakota, he may have to settle for the VP spot. If he has lost the lead in NC from 30% to under 10% as the polls indicate, he is going to have a problem, and the problem may be compounded if he fails to win Montana. His bittergate comments may turn off the rural people in Montana. I suspect that the contest is beginning to become more interesting with a contrast in the TV profiles of a dejected Obama and super-confident Hillary (see monday New York times coverage of their performances on Sun Day TV appearances). If Obama proves that he can continue to win even after all the controversies he had to endure, he has to be the nominee. But if he falters, then nothing is certain. The democrats don't want a fiasco in november.

Obama's money, about 50% from lobbyist law firms, buy a lot of attention. But as we find out about the personal life and associations of his , he seems to be a polished speaker but one who does not appear to have the American people in his heart like Hillary Clinton obviously has shown that she does. He can't even get through an interview or debate without denouncing people's right to inquire about personal subjects which he calls distractions but I call important character liabilities.

I don't usually read the comments associated with an article. I am not sure why I read these today and am sorry I did. How disappointing that Americans talk like this to each other. Is it the anonymity afforded by the Internet that gives such license to be so rude, intemperate, inaccurate and downright gross? I personally like all three candidates (for different reasons) but am particularly offended when I see things like "The Candidate of Nation of Islam" and Barack HUSSEIN Obama. The writers of those two appear to be overtly racists and should be ashamed of themselves in 2008. I am thankful that the majority of the authors of the foregoing responses are not running for anything. I would suggest that a better use of your time than spewing this vitriole is to educate yourself and then have a debate using actual facts and positions of the three candidates. Then you would be in a position to make an informed decision. Spewing this vitriole seems rather cowardly to me.

In my home state of Pennsylvania, Obama dwarfed Clinton in his massive advertising ... and he lost. Now with things even, he should lose by an even bigger margin.

1) Obama has given a free pass to Iran to bomb our friend countries while risking his deep displeasure
2) Obama believes that a gas tax holiday makes bad economic sense and doesn't realize that this isn't an economics class, it's a question of people being able to buy milk or gas to get to work
3) Obama wants people to believe he grew up eating pot roast but then tells voters in Missippippi that he can't wait to head out for some grits
4) Obama had to wait until the Super-Delegates called him and expressed their concern (read: ultimatum) before he would come out and disown the hate from Wright
5) Obama was not the child of a teenage mother, he was the child of a woman in college - there IS a difference
6) Obama wasn't raised around anybody remotely involved or affected by the struggles of MLK; he didn't become personally experienced with that until after his graduation and move from Hawaii
7) Obama has spent more time lobbying for healthcare and education for black people in Kenya than he has for any people in this country
8) Obama lacks the "testicular fortitude" to convey the message of American strength and willingness to use it
9) Obama wants to raise social security taxes by having people to continue paying beyond $102,000
10) Obama wants to raise capital gains taxes even though he has been told and history has proven the people will invest less if they are taxed more - all he would achieve is to dry up the market
11) Obama doesn't realize that by allowing the bread winner to opt out of healthcare insurance, he is condemning the stay at home partner to also not have insurance resulting in someones financial decision to affect another persons well being and health
12) Obama pulled his name off of the Michigan ballot under his own free will and won his first election as being the only name on a ballot. If a single name on a ballot was good enough for him when it got him into office, why isn't it good enough to count for Michigan and why should he get 50% of that vote when only 40% of the voters didn't vote for Clinton?
13) Obama did have cable television ads broadcasting into Florida despite the promise not to campaign there. Even so, he still lost that state but won't allow the votes there to count unless they are split 50/50 with him.
14) Obama is confusing the extremely good caucus organization skills of his workers with popular populace votes; he hasn't carried those - Clinton has!
15) Obama isn't even bothering to run in the black areas of Indiana and North Carolina due to his own admissions that those areas are already his; and we call Clinton arrogant for being presumptive?
16) Obama doesn't know what it is like to be black any more than he knows what it is to be white any more than he knows what it is to be asian or hispanic
17) Obama only knows how to be a politician who changes his message and the manner in which he gives it to suit the audience. That's called good acting.
18) Obama is waiting to be called as a witness in a fiasco involving someone he should have avoided like the plague but only realized after the media involved him that he should have given a better appearance of propriety
19) Obama is still too young to allow the right head to do the thinking - we all know what history can tell us about putting a young man into the Whitehouse
20) Obama is not MLK or JFK and has not link or right to their legacies and neither their family or their friends can grant it to him.
Clinton HAS fought for fairness, healthcare, civil rights, immigrants, and the rights of all Americans, women, and world citizens for her entire adult life in various roles and she deserves the chance to do so in this job. Bill Clintons years in Arkansas and Washington were the result of teamwork and commitment on behalf of both of them. Yes, he made the final decisions just as she will this time around, but, it's not a bad thing to actually have a past president as your side 24/7 for advice!

Why is there a pity party for Senator Clinton not having much funds? She started with over $100,000,000, "woe is me" that the money was mismanaged by her strategists.

Obama is a cunning and terrifyingly dangerous politician.
Barack says he won't throw his pastor under the bus like he did his grandmother, and then he did.
Barack says he's against the war but NEVER ACTUALLY VOTED AGAINST IT because he wasn't in office then. And then he VOTED YES TO FUND THE WAR.
Barack says he won't wear "that pin" on his clothing but then he is trying to say that he stands for it (when really he wants to switch it to something else).
Barack says he wants to be the #1 patriot in America and yet when the National Anthem is played, he doesn't put his hand on his heart(as if the song doesn't apply to him) - must be because it is the song of the "old ways" of America(which he wishes to destroy), the ways that hundreds of thousands have died for along the way.
Barack boils up some cursing and completely politically-reactive racial speech, tries to make us all feel deficient, says Don Imus should be burned at the stake and flushed in a toilet, and then turns around and says "Race is not a problem in America"(because that would trick people into thinking he doesn't hate).
Barack says he's a uniter but then devotes 20 years of his life to his "Mentor" and "Role Model" that has burned the very hate of America into his heart - see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI77cU3jsFs ( also see more great stuff at: thatsmeontheleft.blogspot.com )
Barack says all people should count and "yes we can" but then he purposely, and cold-bloodedly stone-walls any chance of allowing 2+ MILLION voters in Florida and Michigan have their vote count.
Barack says he's about "helping the working class live better lives" and then he turns around and slanders us not only by calling us "bitter" and "clinging to guns and religion", but also forgoes offering a Universal Healthcare Plan(which is a core democratic value) - this is only so he can play both sides of the poor/rich fence, but in the end he leans more towards the former(with his ridiculous idea to raise capital gains taxes).
Barack says he has all these ideas for how he's going to throw our government out of their offices onto the street but there's no detailed information available for people to weigh his intentions with common sense.
Everything is about timing for Mr. Barack Obama, he plays "old style" politics better than a symphonic orchestra, he'll switch from one major idea and then to the reverse like a windsock in an open field.
How long will it be before Barack throws the "American People"(as if we're somebody else) under the bus, and then back up for another go.
Think long and hard, this man is playing the emotion card on America, and he intends to rip our heart out with it to pay back for his Pastor's pain of yesteryear.
If you vote for Barack Obama, you will experience change alright, and it will hurt, badly. If you vote for Barack Obama, you are voting for the Apocalypse of America.

Obama doesn't have the experience to become president of this country. He has only been in the Senate for three years and has spent half of that time running for his next office. He's spent half of his total time in all offices running for the next office.
There is too much unknown about this guy and he switches his stories too often to be perceived as real. He has a very bad habit of throwing people under the bus when they become inconvenient. He couldn't have sat in that pew and heard those words from his pastor all this time without also believing a part of what he was hearing.
Unfortunately, his introduction to politics was in one of the traditionally dirtiest political cities in this country and thus he has learned from the worst examples.
It doesn't take a genious to figure out that the Republicans really will throw the kitchen sink at this guy if he is the nominee and it also doesn't take one to figure out that the democrats will lose all of the independents to McCain.
Let's face it, if you've got money in this country you probably haven't lost out under the Bush administration and so you probably won't lose out under McCain.
Like her or not, at least we know what we are getting with Hillary Clinton. We don't know that with Barry Obama and I for one am not willing to throw my vote and my country away on a guessing game all the time fearing that the other shoe is going to drop after it is too late. Let him prove himself to America - right now, all we know is that he is an opportunistic politician practicing politics the same old tired way they have always been practiced within Chicago and Washington.
Oh, and while he's gaining that experience, perhaps he can send that wife of his to a little anger management and tolerance training. THAT woman has some real issues!

It is not because he is wrong for what his pastor has said, it is because he is only 'angry' about it now after being a member of the Rev's congregation for 20 years.
That is beside the point. Senator Obama has no sway or insight in foreign policy and international relations. Which the US desparately needs right now.
Unless he can get Sec of State Rice over to his administration, he is done for.
She has been the only person on the Bush Administration that commanded any ounce of respect for the USA abroad in the last 7 years.

If the DNC stops the race prematurely and doesn't count the Votes in FL and MI or No revotes are held, McCain should invite her for a VP position. It's a winning combination.
No Barack this year!!!
===========================================
Dear Stumped,
I have a lot of issues with the news media's coverage of this campaign, but they can all be reduced to one question: What did Hillary Clinton do to you to deserve such treatment?
-- James E. Hilton
Dear James,
I respect Hillary Clinton's tenacity, and I think it's time to acknowledge that she has earned the No. 2 spot on the ticket. She would make a tremendous running mate and a capable vice president, ready to take over as commander-in-chief at a moment's notice. So I urge John McCain to look no further: Given how much damage Clinton is causing the Democratic Party and her zealous devotion to attacking Barack Obama, Clinton is your ideal running mate. Talk about a historic ticket!
What did Clinton do to us, you ask? Well, if you are a committed Democratic activist, your list of grievances may be longer than mine. But anyone mildly interested in politics may find Clinton's presumptuousness distasteful. Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, called a Judas by the mob-like Clinton camp when he endorsed Obama, put his finger on it. He basically said he had been a devoted, loyal member of Bill Clinton's administration, but that he never signed up to be a loyal, devoted member of a Clinton dynasty. He was offended at the un-American presumption that his loyalty should automatically be deemed transferable, as the Clintons assume, to the former president's wife.
I am no Bill Richardson, and I was never a part of Bill Clinton's team. But I do think he was a great president -- and I resent the implication that for this reason I am supposed to root for his wife. It amazes me how many sophisticated players in Washington blindly backed Hillary Clinton out of a sense of tribal politics.
Clinton is a capable woman who'd make a credible presidential candidate in her own right. But she is not here in her own right. She is cashing in on her husband's brand. She didn't become a senator just because she is hard-working and smart and talented. She also became a senator (in an adopted home state, no less) because she was the president's wife -- and not just the president's wife but the president's aggrieved wife, able to draw on a reservoir of good will and sympathy. How her ascent advances the meritocratic cause of women is beyond me.

I am a 46 year old Asian man. I have never seen media in this country can be so bias against a lady like Mrs. Clinton. You may not like her but you Obama supporters must admit that she is more knowledgable in policy matters and issues than Mr. Obama.
I am from a country where two muslim lady have become the head of the country as well as leader of the opposition party. We in America try to teach others about democracy and respect to woman but when it comes to our own, we treat them with disrespect. Are we treating her this way because she is a female or she is the wife of most successful democratic president in last 25 years. I laugh at Caroline Kennedy whou touts about her father and uncle Edward. Her father had a worse character than Bill Clinton and her uncle literally drowned his fiancee while drunk.

Ok, so there is plenty of paid advertising on both sides. Yet the freebie press coverage is by no standard balanced. We hear endless soundbites on Jeremiah Wright's hateful sentiments, yet nothing on this bigotry from Hillary camp:

So many thanks for your insightful comments on the American presidential election. I commiserate and agree full heartedly that in fact if Hillary does not win the presidency, the US will find itself plummeting further down economically and politically. The international arena, it is my feeling, looks upon Hillary much more favorably than upon any of the other two candidates. McCain for the world is simply another Republican, who, if elected, represents the ill intentioned manipulated American who acquiesces to an oligarchic elite. Obama, on the other hand represents an long awaited M.L.King American Dream, but is a candidate who lacks international experience and a set of goals he believes in. I myself as an American expatriate have no doubt in my mind that Hillary is the most qualified. Again, I also am shocked that she has not been already nominated.
God Bless America in 08!

As a foreigner looking on interestingly at the US election, I am bewildered.
The world ONCE looked to the USA to see what was on the horizon for our economies, foreign policies and trade.
Going on eight years ago, that started to change slowly and steadily.
Looking in from the outside I am stunned that Hillary Rodham Clinton isn't already the nominee and the one who should be now blitzing that ever so uninspiring McCain.
It seems in Obama, America has absolutely jumped on the bandwagon of his 'CELEBRITY' rise. There is so much excitement about him but he is yet to really outline any plans for this so called 'CHANGE'.
America is eating it up though, and will suffer for it if either Barack Obama or John McCain become president. The US dollar will keep falling, your economy will keep failing and the rest of the world will increase our trade and relations
with countries like India and the powerhouse that is China.
In all honesty, Hillary is your last hope to revive the dying breathes of a ONCE UNSTOPPABLE SUPER POWER.
If Hillary fails to get the nomination, you may as well turn off the life support. It was fun while it lasted kids.
God Bless America!

How about hie money laundering scheme? how about the myth about Wright's life growing up a poor black kid? how about his shallow, hollow character when in his famous Gettsburg speech he could not denounce his Pastor Wright, uncle whatever he calls him and then feigned outrage the past few days over the same uncle? Flip flop is not even applicable. How about his true character? how about the veracity of his statements? How about if I use the words often expressed by others - a LIAR? Ok Barry Hussein Obama fans? Why does everyone keep posting Obama's middle name in all caps? Would it matter if his middle name was "puppy killer"? Or are you just showing the world you're a racist?
Focus on the facts would you?
- Hillary voted for the war (if you're for it, then great).
- She's campaigning that if it weren't for Bush, Magnequench would still be an American Company supplying American jobs. However, she "misspoke".. it was Bill allowed the sale to China despite concerns at the time of national security and eventual job loss.
- She's campaigning for a 3 month end on the gas tax, which all economists agree won't do any good (give the avg american about a half a tank of gas over the entire 3 months) and will likely result in Oil companies raising their prices.
- It's been 15 years since she's tried to push her healthcare plan. What's going to change in the next 4?
- She's pushing to count the votes of Michigan and Florida - both of which were decided well ahead of time (and she agreed to) by the DNC. She was the ONLY major candidate that stayed on the ballot in Michigan. The other abided by the rules and continue to do so.
- She's cherrypicking poles that put her at an advantage over Obama and ignoring the rest.
- She claimed (multiple times) she was under sniper fire.
- Bill C. came out weeks later and said she only mentioned sniper fire once.
- ABC News/Washington Post poll found nearly 60 percent of voters think Clinton is dishonest
- She's being called to the stand in November for fraud surrounding her 2000 senate campaign.
- Her relationship to Webb Hubbell (one of her closest friends and legal partner in the '90s, before he went to Jail.
- Her flip-floping on NAFTA (It was good when she was helping push it for Bill, but now it's bad?)
- She's deeply in-debt, even after PA. She has some cash on hand, but her debts are VERY large.
Just because the main stream media is caught up in Wright-gate/bitter-gate, doesn't mean you can't focus on the facts, policy, and past performance.
There's no need to be racist, sexist, age-ist, etc. There's no need to capitalize someone's middle name because you can't argue any of his policy points and think calling him a Muslim will help. Whatever happened to the separation of church and state? I wish we could nominate a Muslim.. A Jew.. An (gasp) Atheist.. Because it shouldn't matter. Since when did bitter become a bad word? Since when did it matter?
Focus on the policy. Focus on flip-flopping on policy. Focus on how someone will execute their stances on policy, bring folks together, and actually get work done.
I'm not telling anyone to vote for Obama. I'm just asking folks to focus on what matters.

Facts are a stubborn thing. Obama cannot close his 20 year old relationship with Wright because there is so much video evidence against it. On the TV program THE VIEW, Obama declared that Reverend Wright accepted that his view were inappropriate and mischaracterized. That it had offended many people. Then weeks later Wright goes on a national Hate America Press Tour? This was a blatant lie. Or worse, Obama was fooled by Wright which is kind of scary. That a possible next president can be played by a character such as Wright. Check the video evidence yourselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6J7yJ9R5p0

This is to "Working class mom"
You should read the article of Hillary's "screw 'em" 1995 remark made at Camp David regarding working class Southerners. If she feel that way about the south, how do you think she feels about working class Midwesterners? I learned the difference between Midwesterners and Yankees when I married my Midwestern husband.
If you are interested pull up the "huffingtonpost.com. It appeared in the Friday April 18th edition by Stein. He is an investigative reporter. One of the egg heads who was there heard her say it and printed it in a book he wrote. It appears at the end of an article by another woman who was there but did not hear her. (2nd page)
You can bet your bippy she would have sued had it not been true.

Obama's "CHANGE" is his successful community organizing. He has said in his speeches, (I paraphrase): "We --you & me & everybody to your left & everybody to your right--can make different decisions only by registering to vote, voting, considering each issue, making a decision of what's the best choice, and then communicating our decision to our elected leaders. Elect me, because I understand this fundamental truth about representative democracy. I will be the President who understands the U.S. Constitution that created our representative democracy. I get it. And you, People, must get it, too, in order for our country to truly represent your policy choices."
That's pretty much the sum of his message. It's not too fancy and it's not too complicated, but he's the ONLY CANDIDATE who understood months ago that our country had a huge disconnect between what people said their policy choice was (e.g. majority of Americans did not want to go to war and a majority of Americans want us out of Iraq) and what their elected representatives were choosing. He understood the only way to change that disconnect is for all those people to get off their duffs and assume their responsibilities as citizens. He keeps saying it in every state: If Americans want something different, then, Yes We Can achieve different policy.
He's already making the CHANGE. In every single state hundreds of thousands of previously non-voting Americans have registered to vote. They registered as Democrats in every state where they had to in order to vote for Obama. Even in Pennsylvania, the Obama campaign brought the lion's share of over 360,000 newly registered voters into the Democratic party.
Every elected officeholder who is a Superdelegate is going to benefit personally by the HUGE increase in registered Democrats. Every one of those Superdelegates has seen the landscape of their livelihood, their elected office, shift seismically in response to the Obama campaign. Every elected officeholder now will have to contend with double-digit percentage increase in voters, who were encouraged to vote NOT for a demagogue but instead for the insistence that Yes They Can force the policy decisions they want by taking their power as voting citizens. Obviously, it's a mighty healthy reorientation of power.
Maybe the voters will, after the November election, fall back into a lazy stupor of yore. But it's not looking that way judging from the # of people who've been responding to Obama's call. Count how many hits that spontaneous video "Yes We Can" got on YouTube. Count how many individuals have sent a donation of $100 or less to the Obama campaign. Count how many individuals have been volunteering at every state's Obama campaign offices. Yes, Obama's CHANGE is real.
And no, neither Senator Clinton nor Senator McCain have or should have any chance of stopping this tide of rising voter participation. Not to worry, Obama's every speech and every past action supports exactly what's he's saying: He gets representative democracy. He's smart enough, savvy enough, dignified enough, emotionally stable enough to serve as the President who will be responding to this new flush of insistent, active citizens. (Be glad he's run such a successful, efficient, straight-forward, fiscally flush campaign, because that's the best indicator of how a candidate will run the office of Presidency, too.)

If a particular segment of the voting bloc does not want to be called stupid then they should stop acting stupid. Working class Christians are the reason that Bush stayed in office for 8 years, they wanted an "Average Joe" just like them and look what we got. Why do people continually make the same mistakes over and over and expect different results. First of all Hillary has tricked the "Working Class" population, into believing she is just like them (nobody making over $100,000,000.00 is just like the average joe, she can't even pour herself a cup of coffee); secondly, if she was just like the average working class person why would we want her to run the country. The average person can't do it didn't we learn that yet. Please put an honest, intelligent man in office and stop acting stupid and maybe people would stop talking down to us, the working class.

I visited people in Indiana last night and they wanted someone other than Hillary, Obama, or McCain, and when I told them Ron Paul was still running, they started at the slim jim for several minutes, and then said thank you for telling them, because they were going to vote for him. I only saw 3 signs for Hillary, none for Obama or McInsain. I think that we can beat McCain here if we can just give the people another choice. I plan to continue my banner bombing and canvassing. Remember Lincoln only won ONE state and only had 26 delegates!

For those who support Hillary on the basis of the achievements of Bill Clinton's years in the Oval Office, it's not Bill running. It's his wife. She had as much to do with the accomplishments of her husband's two terms as their daughter did. Let's elect Chelsea instead. She's much more likable.
For those who take the bait and hook distraction ploys of plagiarism claims, and reverends, and fundraiser allegations, invest in a longer attention span, and take a course on using the critical thinking abilities of your brain.
Seek out the best candidate and support them, but don't regurgitate phrases and buzz-words that are cooked up by political strategists who prey on those who don't have the time to practice sound judgement.

People can disagree with Senator Clinton, but please provide a foundation for that disagreement. Her vote for the War in Iraq. Her lack of opposition to it during its execution even as the truth about the war became clear. Her support for and by special interests. Her constant blaming of someone else when things don't go her way. The "Right Wing Conspiracy", the "health care lobby", the "liberal media" (MoveOn.org).
I think it is possible to discuss her tendency to embrace gestures "gas tax holiday" instead of meaningful solutions such as alternative energy sources, conservation, reforms in energy policy.
The "experience" I've witnessed from Senator Clinton has been one of pass the buck. Blame others. Embrace gestures and not solutions. That is the "experience" we are talking about with a Washington insider. Want more of the same, support Senator Clinton. Want something different, support Senator Obama. Seems simple enough to me.
Posted by: PJW5552 | May 1, 2008 1:07 PM
I find it amazing that just because Obama has made "change" (i.e., reducing partisanship and the power of lobbyists in DC)the centerpiece of his campaign, that his supporters actually believe he is more qualified to accomplish this than Clinton or McCain. Can someone tell me how Obama is going to achieve the "change" in DC that he wants? Is he going to outlaw lobbying by special interest groups? NO. Is he going to order partisan Democrats in the House and Senate, many of whom support
him, to change their ways and become more
accommodating to Republicans? NO. Is he going to be able to convince Republicans, especially in the Senate where they can use Senate rules to block Democratic bills unless the biil gets 60 votes, to play nice and accommodate Democrats? NO.
So what is the substance behind Obama's call for "change"? Can any Obama supporter explain how Obama plans to change the political climate in WA?
Second, since he has been a US Senator, is there any evidence that Obama is a unifier who can surmount the Democratic/Republican divide in the Senate? I'm not aware of it. In fact, John McCain has the best record of being able to cross party lines and work with members of the opposite party than either Clinton or Obama.
Third, if Hilary Clinton's campaign theme was "prosperity," would voters just assume that since she talks so much about
"prosperity," she must obviously be the candidate most qualified to achieve
"prosperity" for the US? OF COURSE NOT. Voters would want Clinton to explain what she would do to achieve "prosperity" and
compare her plans/ideas with the other candidates. They wouldn't just take her word for it.
Fourth, didn't liberal Democrats criticize Bill Clinton for being a "triangulator" who tried to get legislation passed by bridging the gap between Democrats and Republicans? Isn't that what Obama would try to do if he became President? Unless the Dems pick up a lot more votes in the Senate, isn't that what he would have to do if he became President?
So, until the Obama campaign can explain what Obama would do differently to curb the power of lobbyists and reduce the political divide between Republicans and
Democrats in DC that prevents legislation that Democrats favor from getting passed, then I can't take Obama's call for "change" in how politics is done in DC seriously. And I don't understand why Obama supporters do take it seriously.

lets see as I recall at the time of the vote on the war all the polls taken at the time had 86% of the american people in favor for going to war. so maybe this idiot was one of them that also favored it at the time, but is now flip flopping.obamas judgment about his relationship with rev wright, ayrs, gay relationships, rezko is not about judegment? get a clue...and start respecting the brave american soldiers.

obama tried to hide the fact that rev wright is his mentor and he's lying through his teeth about it. he had ample time to distance himself 20 years - and didn't until it became a problem for his nomination. he's just another politician saying what people want to hear. it will be fun to see rev wright beat up on him again for that reason.

Hello fellow bloggers;
I am working class mother of two beautiful and intelligent children ranging from nine to twelve years old. Moral integrity along with strong family and Christian values are very important to me and is why I chose to support Hillary Clinton for President. Admittedly, I've been concerned with the tone of the campaign as of late and am beginning to have doubts about my choice in candidate.
Senator Clinton said if Rev Wright was her pastor she would've left the church and alluded that she placed a high premium on integrity of the company she keeps. Yet she chose to remain with her husband after he committed a number of adulterous affairs, including Jennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinski. Bill Clinton was later impeached for telling lies to a grand jury, disbarred and ultimately created a moral embarrassment to prestige of the American presidency. Senator Clinton's comments about the Wright issue just do not seem to reconcile with her actions to remain loyal to a husband who lied and cheated to her and the American people. I am also troubled that she never offered an apology to the nation and Monica Lewinski after it was confirmed that her husband lied about the sexual involvement. This especially since Mrs. Clinton had accused Ken Star of being on a right wing witch-hunt and called Monica a liar. I can understand the Senator defending her husband when she didn't have knowledge that he lied. However, she should have demonstrated character by apologizing to the American people after evidence confirmed that he did.
On another topic but in keeping with the theme of character and credibility- My 9 year old daughter watched the Bosnia "misstatement" incident reported in the media and asked me to explain the difference between a misstatement and a Lie. It was an interesting topic and I was aware of the potential mine-field. Therefore I carefully responded to my daughter by saying:
"It is Senator Clinton's belief that she made a human mistake when she re-told the events of the Bosnia trip to be slightly different that the actual occurrence, therefore she feels it is was misstatement since her version was not changed deliberately"
My daughter followed up by asking why Mrs. Clinton repeated the incorrect version on 3 separate occasions with such specific, vivid clarity- she was also curious to know why Chelsea Clinton confirmed her mother's version to be factual when asked by the media. Why would Mrs. Clinton encourage Chelsea to lie on her behalf if it was a mistake, she queried? My daughter then asked if I was satisfied with the explanation given by the Senator. At that point I was unable to defend Mrs. Clinton any further as I too was unable to reconcile the given explanation. I immediately closed the discussion by telling my daughter that we should not be so quick to judge people. I later had an uncomfortable feeling that I did not handle the discussion very well and attributed the reason to my belief that Senator Clinton did not demonstrate integrity with the Bosnia incident. I believe that her questionable credibility is why her negative rating is becoming a problem. I know in my heart she lied but left with the optics of the alternate choice I feel that I must continue to support her. What advice can my fellow Hillary supporters offer so I can go back to my daughter and continue this important conversation?

Barack Obama caught in crooked money laundering scheme
'Smoking gun' prompts Andy Martin to say Obama should withdraw as presidential candidate
http://www.pr-inside.com/smoking-gun-prompts-andy-martin-to-r559376.htm
EXCERPTS
(NEW YORK)(April 27, 2008) The disclosure today in the Los Angeles Times that Barack Obama laundered money through a law firm to conceal the source of his income while an Illinois state senator is the 'smoking gun' that is going to doom his candidacy.
www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-killerspin27apr27
The Times details how Obama was still 'of counsel' to his former law firm, but that he was not providing any services to that entity. Then Obama made a deal with Blackwell, and wanted to conceal that Blackwell was supporting him. So Obama 'laundered' the 'legal fees' by running them through the law firm and then issuing a list of the law firm's clients-none of which had anything to do with Obama--to disguise the Blackwell money in a laundry list of hundreds of unrelated 'clients.'
This was a classic case of money laundering and business fraud. Obama wanted to conceal the large sum he was receiving from Blackwell, so he concealed that Blackwell was the source of his income by pretending he was providing services to the law firm's other clients.
Utter fraud. 'Barry O' ain't stupid, he's slicky and tricky, and he's a ticking time bomb for the Democratic Party.
Obama's 'law firm' was also guilty of professional misconduct, because the lawyers knew that Obama had not provided services through the law firm, and was merely using the firm to obscure the fact that the major source of his personal income was one client on whose behalf Obama was later to advocate (there may have been earlier informal advocacy than the senate letter which has surfaced).
Since the law firm had no relationship with Blackwell, running Obama's fees through the firm was false and fraudulent. Since Obama had nothing to do with the law firm's other clients, using a list of hundreds of unrelated clients to obscure that only one of those "clients" was paying him money was federal criminal mail fraud as well as a corruption of the ethics rules in Illinois.

No, Obama's won
you can punch in the most optimistic wins possible for Hillary in EVERY remaining primary, and she still can't catch up to Barack's lead.
The success of a campaign is to win. The Obama campaign was brilliant in their strategy of playing the smaller states, and the states with caucuses...and for playing for a long primary (remember, Hillary thought it would be over by "Super Tuesday").
The Obama campaign was brilliant; and they won.
don't believe me...go on the delegate calculator and punch in the highest numbers that Hillary could possibly win in the remaining primaries and see that
Obama's still ahead (by a lot)
Obama's won.
example: give Hillary a 70% win in EVERY remaining primary (including North Carolina!)
(and that just ain't going to happen!)
.......and she's still behind (by a lot)
No, Obama's already won...and if/when he wins North Carolina...it's by a lot !
...don't belive me, then punch in the numbers yourself:
Obama's already won

I am always so apalled at the middle aged women who hate Hillary. They must have had mothers who beat them with coathangers or some female drama in their childhoods. Hillary is the candidate to beat McCain and her interview on Fox O'Reilly tonight proved it. Obama makes time for basketball but can't make time to debate with her for undecideds BECAUSE HE CAN'T DEBATE! He seems to have a stuttering problem if he isn't reading scripts from prompters, as witnessed in his throw Wright under the bus speech yesterday. He said he hadn't "vetted" his pastor. After 20 years? Maybe we need another 20 more to vet him!

Have you placed any bets on the off shore sites? You can get like 8 to 1 on Hillary. Sounds like easy money.
Hillary Clinton will be the nominee. The last 10 days have proved it. Hillary will win Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Puerto Rico and Montana. She will win the popular vote.
Obama has self destructed in the last 45 days. Other Democratic candidates are already having to distance themselves from him in Congressional races. He has fallen far and fast. He has only himself to blame. He has a minister problem, a bitter gate problem, which feeds off the minister problem, a rural, white, union, catholic, under 75,000 income bracket problem. If you do not know that is a huge base of the democratic party in a general election.
We need the strongest Democrat in the general election. Clinton has proven she is that. Obama had 3 chances to knock her from the race and failed. He continues to lose huge industrial states. Remember a president is elected by electoral college votes. Lose Ohio, Penn and Florida along with the entire South and you lose, even if you win Colorado, New Hampshire, Nevada, Iowa, and New Mexico. This is serious stuff.
Now after some tough questions in Philly, he refuses to debate Clinton. The democratic nominee cannot refuse to debate because they are scared of hard questions. McCain will not go away. He must be defeated. Hillary is the one to do it.

Perhaps that's why Obama' more than a million donors have been able to give his campaign hundreds of millions of dollars.

Since dollar for dollar the two candidates probably spent equally in Michigan, and since Obama was the only candidate on the ballot for the first office he won (after getting everybody else disqualified and kicked off), why should he have any hesitations about giving Hillary the votes and delegates she rightfully won in Michigan? Afterall, the man DOES have experience with there only being one name on the ballot and he felt that was a good election when it put him into office. And this time, it was his own action that took him off of the ballot ... he didn't even have to get kicked off! He was dumb enough to pull his name off but what can you expect from someone with less than five years of national political experience or someone who launches a presidential campaign on the chest of "Obama Girl" ... hey, where are they hiding her now that he doesn't have to pay to get air time?

It is amazing that these loonies claim to support and admire a man that talks about unity and the common goals of all Americans. They come on here and spew their raves without regard for the facts all the while enjoying the opportunity to call others names and blame ONE VOTE for everything that is wrong in this country. Fine, you don't like the woman, don't vote for the woman. Nothing gives you the right to denegrate her or lay the wrongs in this country at her feet. Most of these wrongs are here today simply because of this impulsive "please me now" mentality that pervades the Obama camp. Charge it now and ignore the rates, change the job cause you don't like the boss, don't get an education and don't pay the loans for one, don't buy insurance, don't read that mortgage contract or save money before buying anything, gotta have that Escalade and boat, and heaven forgive you miss American Idol. Now blame Clinton and everybody who has been trying to babysit your sorry butt for you not having a pot to pi$$ in. You people are a joke and you make this country a laughing stock around the globe.

The fact that the voters and the media are so concerned and fascinated with the Democratic nomination process should be a big concern for Republicans. Democrats continue to have record turnouts in all the primaries. Given the fact that either Hillary or Obama has garnered nearly twice the amount of primary voters should be giving the Republican heartache regardless of how well McCain is doing in the national polling.
Sure Hillary got a much needed boost out of Pennslyvania, especially in fundraising. But Hillary's campaign was already in debt on the tune of $8 million dollars.
Hillary is truly the "say-anything and do-anything" candidate remaining in the presidential race. Come on! Siding with McCain on a "gas tax holiday" when nearly all economists claim that a "gas tax holiday" is economically dumb.
I know McCain's excuse. He admitted he is dumb about the economy. What's Hillary excuse?!?!

DEBATE! DEBATE!! DEBATE!!!
It's time for everyone to face the truth. Barack Obama has no real chance of winning the national election in November at this time. His crushing defeat in Pennsylvania makes that fact crystal clear. His best, and only real chance of winning in November is on a ticket with Hillary Clinton as her VP.
Hillary Clinton seemed almost somber at her Pennsylvania victory speech. As if part of her was hoping Obama could have proved he had some chance of winning against the republican attack machine, and their unlimited money, and resources.
But it is absolutely essential that the democrats take back the Whitehouse in November. America, and the American people are in a very desperate condition now. And the whole World has been doing all that they can to help keep us propped up.
Hillary Clinton say's that the heat, and decisions in the Whitehouse are much tougher than the ones on the campaign trail. But I think Mr. Obama faces a test of whether he has what it takes to be a commander and chief by facing the difficult facts, and the truth before him. And by doing what is best for the American people by dropping out of the race, and offering his whole hearted assistance to Hillary Clinton to help her take back the Whitehouse for the American people, and the World.
Mr. Obama is a great speaker. And I am confident he can explain to the American people the need, and wisdom of such a personal sacrifice for them. It should be clear to everyone by now that Hillary Clinton is fighting her heart out for the American people. She has known for a long time that Mr. Obama can not win this November. You have to remember that the Clinton's have won the Whitehouse twice before. They know what it takes.
If Mr. Obama fails his test of commander and chief we can only hope that Hillary Clinton can continue her heroic fight for the American people. And that she prevails. She will need all the continual support and help we can give her. She may fight like a superhuman. But she is only human.
Sen. Hillary Clinton: "You know, more people have now voted for me than have voted for my opponent. In fact, I now have more votes than anybody has ever had in a primary contest for a nomination. And it's also clear that we've got nine more important contests to go."

And, in 2004 (while defending John Kerry's vote for said war), Barack HUSSEIN Obama said "I don't know" as to whether he would have voted for said war had he been in the U.S. Senate at the time.
Next canard?

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot! :-)
If you don't know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to try and defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering...
You see, back in 1993 Hillary Clinton had the audacity, and nerve to try and get quality, affordable universal health care for everyone to prevent the suffering and needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of you each year. :-)
Approx. 100,000 of you die each year from medical accidents from a rush to profit by the insurance, and medical industry. Another 120,000 of you die each year from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don't die from. And I could go on, and on...

Has anyone seem MICHELLE Obama speaking out against Rev. Wright now? They will both be on the Today Show, tomorrow morning. Where in the world is Matt Lauer?

Ditto re: Jeff...nice to see men being men and not running away from a strong woman.
As for Michelle O...well, that should be funny. She and Wright are like 2 peas in a pod. She's just mad that Wright called wittle Barry out on his lying and pandering.

Here's just ONE example of the NEWS the Major Print MSM is currently covering...very little; the "news" the MSM is NOT Planning to SHOW YOU ON TV -until AFTER Obama gets the nomination:
April 29
BY NATASHA KORECKI Federal Courts Reporter nkorecki@suntimes.com
As the federal investigation into corruption in state government intensified in 2004, a business associate of Tony Rezko received a grand jury subpoena. But Rezko, a campaign fund-raiser for Gov. Blagojevich, told the associate, Elie Maloof, there was no reason to talk, Maloof testified Monday.
" 'The federal prosecutor will no longer be the same federal prosecutor,' " Maloof said Rezko told him.
Elie Maloof (right) testified Monday that Tony Rezko (left) bragged the fix was in to fire U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald (
He told jurors in Rezko's corruption trial that Rezko explained that U.S. Attorney "Patrick Fitzgerald would be terminated, and [then-U.S. House Speaker] Dennis Hastert will name his replacement. The investigation will be over."
He said Rezko told him the person to replace Fitzgerald would "stop the investigation."
Hastert didn't return calls seeking comment.
It was the second time allegations have surfaced in the Rezko trial that there were behind-the-scenes efforts to fire Fitzgerald. Last week, prosecutors said another witness -- Ali Ata, former chairman of the Illinois Finance Authority -- will testify that Rezko told him Republican power broker Bob Kjellander was going to use his clout with former White House adviser Karl Rove to get Fitzgerald dumped. Kjellander and Rove denied that. Ata is expected to testify Thursday.
Maloof said the conversation took place in February 2004 at Rezko's Wilmette mansion. Maloof said that, as they talked, Rezko mentioned the possibility that "the feds were listening."
Maloof has been in the news over a prior allegation that he made $11,000 in straw contributions to Barack Obama's U.S. Senate campaign on Rezko's behalf -- money Obama later gave to charity. Maloof did not mention Obama in court. END of EXCERPTS
My comments:
Rezko, and two friends, Alsammarae, and Auichi attended engineering school together in Illinois.
In later years, Auichi (still a billionaire) was convicted in the French Courts of Fraud/Looting, Political Corruption involving ELF, a French petrolem company, and the UN Oil for Food Program. Alsammarae was convicted by an Iraqi Court (during the tenure of its current government) of LOOTING the Iraqi Electricity Grid - after being APPOINTED Iraq's Electrictiy Minister by the Bush/Cheney - Coalition Provisional Authority.
Rezko, is on trial for Political Corruption charges/crimes at the City, County, State, and National levels in the U.S. AND for Political corruption charges INTERNATIONALLY, along with Auichi and Alasammarae -in Iraq- crimes involving MONOPOLY ... CONTROL ... of Electricity, AND involving Rezko & Alsammarae's plans to BUILD A nuclear power plant in Iraq.
Obama, Cheney, GE, Westinghouse, MSNBC, NBC, CBS ... are involved in the ATTEMPTED PERPETRATION of a Massive FRAUD on the American People...SUBVERSION... of a NATIONAL Election ... by means of PROPAGANDA put out by their OWN MONOPOLY-Controlled MEDIA.
Obama is dirty. The "White House" /Republican Party have been privy to ALL the dirty details for at least a couple of years. THAT is Why they are running Obama for President ... they have more than enough dirt on him to Knock him out & get McCain elected ... thereby, STOPPING Any Investigation/Prosecution of ALL THE CRIMES Committed by the Bush administration ... including Bush/Cheney's LOOTING of Iraq AND BILLIONS of American Taxpayer's Money missing and unaccounted for. Any persons found guilty in any prosecutions they don't manage to stop ... can be PARDONED by McCain - including Rezko, and Obama.
IF THAT"S what YOU want ... YOU go right ahead and VOTE for Obama/McCain.

Hey elme someone who thinks Hillary and Bill are the same person is an idiot. Trust me she is very different than Bill and not in a good way. Why is that when Obama wins by double digits or maintains a double digit lead, then "that's what was expected" in that state? But when he closes a 20-point lead where Hillary is favored then he didn't do enough? Why doesn't the media ever couch these contests in terms of Hillary's "need" to close Obama's 20-point lead?
I think it's very clear what's going on in this campaign -- we are starting to see the institutions of power and corruption become deathly afraid of a candidate who just might shake their power structure at its core and they don't like it. These corporate giants are all in bed with the Washington insiders, and they're not gonna let some newbie come in and tell them they can't continue their tyrannical control on people's lives.
None of them want to see Obama elected -- power hungry villains will do anything to not only stay in power but grow in power. You can bet your dwindling 401(k)s that they will not go down with a fight and an anti-Obama media is just one of many tools in that fight.

Jeff:
Uh...slight exaggeration or what? I'm an Obama supporter, but I'm no sexist. HRC has done well as a NY senator which is the sum total of her elected experience.
I'm a single middle aged woman who can't pad my resume with a spouse's accomplishments, but I'd vote for an honest woman for president, as long as Obama was not also running.
He got more than my vote. He got more than my money. He got my time, and my attention focused on this election and the issues that matter.
HRC is on record stating that the elections in FL and MI did not count. That is, before she needed the votes. I think they should seat the delegates at the convention but the idea that either of the vote tallies would count, when she was the only candidate on the ballot in MI is an insult to the rest of the states that played by the rules.
Obama supporters are NOT the only ones who feel this way. All the party leaders at DNC do also. Because, of course, they made the rules. They enforced the rules. This is NOT Obama's doing.
Trying to make it his fault is just another example of the intellectual dishonesty practiced by HRC and another reason why she does not have my support.

As the Rev. wright has amply demonstrated: Obama has already PROVED what a poor judge of CHARACTER he is -in the realm of SPIRIT, religion, morality; already make a MOCDERY of his claims to a "Special" ability to...bring people together. ( Uh, huh, yeah ... that't right, let's elect him President & LET HIM ...CHOOSE... All the People who will be RUNNING OUR GOVERNMENT).
Obama's Poor JUDGMENT in the realm of POLITICS & MONEY has also been amply PROVED ... by his 20 year "association" with his friend, chief campaign fund raiser/member of his Senate Finance Committee Tony Rezko.
BUT ... the TV MEDIA isn't covering the Rezko Trial; & has no PLANS to do so UNTIL AFTER Obama secures the nomination; whereupon the MEDIA will TURN on Obama & start informing us of all the ugly details ... to get McCain elected.
WHY? There (really) is no left-wing/right-wing/Democrat/Republican media anymore --- it's ALL the Corporate-Controlled media NOW.
(The FOX/Republican/Conservative vs. MSNBC/Democrat/Liberal ... "news" gigs are the same as the WWF ... rigged PRETEND Fake Phony ... arguments ... DESIGNED to MANIPULATE the public into "choosing" what the Corporate-Controlled Media wants you to "choose".
WHY? MONEY.
The Corporate Controllers = NBC MSNBC CNN CBS TIME The New York Times, et al.
It's about: PULLING OFF the NEXT Big
CHENEY Monopoly POWER
----ENERGY RIPOFF----
i.e. PLANS to build 29 new nuclear power plants (w.licensing hearings already scheduled).
WHO's PLANNING to Build them (Thanks to the Cheney Energy Bill) ?
GE, Westinghouse, Excelon Corp of ILLINOIS, Entergy, 3 consortiums.
GE is the 2nd largest corporation on the planet. They OWN NBC & MSNBC. Westinghouse OWNS CBS. They have been pumping BILLIONS of Advertising $$$ into every form of media at every level; national, state, and local ... for GENERATIONS.
THE MEDIA IS NOW almost completely BOUGHT & PAID FOR by the CORPORATE-CONTROLLERS.
(anybody else happen to NOTICE This on MSNBC's "news" coverage yesterday:
Andrea Mitchell cuts to live coverage of Clinton at a campaign stop. Clinton is speaking to the crowd - she says the high price of Oil/Gas is not due to supply & demand -- its's market manipulation and we've got to do something about it. She says she will close the ENRON Loophole, that ALLOWS that market manipulation to take place AND She will Close the CHENEY ENERGY BILL loopholes. All sound is CUT & the Screen quickly Switches back to Andrea Mitchell who immediately goes to a COMMERCIAL. THAT's CENSORSHIP! GE's wholly-owned, wholly-controlled MSNBC
WILL NOT ALLOW any MENTION of The CHENEY ENERGY BILL on THEIR TV screens. DITTO for all the other "Mainstream Media".
WHY? Because McCain and Obama Voted FOR the Cheney Energy Bill. Clinton Voted AGAINST it AND her STATED POLICY is CORRECT: We can consider nuclear in the future but only IF they can make it CHEAPER and find a way to safely and permanently dispose of the nuclear waste.
Last year, before Obama got in the race, polling showed that a large majority of the voting public was all in favor of electing Clinton president, and, would be more than happy to do so.
HOW did that change? THE MEDIA has been PUSHING PRO-Obama PROPAGANDA/Anti-Clinton slam & smear ever since ... everyday all day long.
The PRO-Obama Propaganda tactics consist of: Jump on the BANDWAGON. The BIG LIE.
BANDWAGON: Obama is attracting Huge crowds, thousands, Phenomenol crowds, Never SEEN anything Like it!
Yeah, uh huh, and IF you've GOT lots of CASH and you're SURE you're going to KEEP RIGHT ON HAVING LOT OF CASH ... you can start out from Day 1 .. in New Hampshire ... paying the BIG BUCKS to RENT HUGE ARENAS & thereby get BIG CROWDS. And When you are not rolling in cash AND can't be sure that you will CONTINUE to GET all the money you need ... then you appear in publicly available venues like ... high school gymnasiums ... & smaller lower priced rented halls where there is no CAPACITY for Huge Crowds to assemble.
A brief search on the internet will turn up DETAILED information showing Obama's claim that he gets his money ... from we the little people ... to be FALSE.
THE BIG LIE: Absurd accusations of "racism" from the Obama campaign ... PROMOTED by the media ... ad infinitum, ad nauseaeum ... even after Obama's campaign was caught red-Handed as the source of thse: incredibly stupid, incredibly insulting to the intelligence of ALL Americans .... transparently false accusations. & ... the BIG LIE that Clinton is the "negative campaigner" responsible for all this "divisiveness.
... when it is Obama who is the negative campaigner, stooping to name-calling, & character-assassination ... aided & abetted by the media ... who have angered many of us who watch them closely on a daily basis ... for their UNMITIGATED GALL in SPEWING such RAMPANT LYING PROPAGANDA.
IT IS THE SAME MEDIA that SOLD YOU Bush 2x, the Same Media that SOLF YOU on invading Iraq.
Clinton DID NOT Vote to invade Iraq. She Voted to use the THREAT of Military FORCE to FIND OUT if Saddam had WMD's, or NOT.
Obama SAID: I don't know how I would have voted IF I had been in the Senate at the time. Having said that ... it is the HEIGHT of absurdity and FAKERY to Critisize Any other person for their Vote: NON-ISSUE; Stop boring everybody with your repetitive DRIVEL.
p.s. Obama has VIRTUALLY NO Legislative Experience; i.e. NO Ability to get those CHANGES Made.
Obama claims 7 years experience in Illinois bringing people together to get good CHANGES passed -as exemplified by 26 good bills with his name on them.
A Chicago reporter says all 26 bills were passed in ONE Year.
http://wweek.com/editorial/3418/10516/
EXCERPTS:
But what's interesting, and almost never discussed, is that he built his entire legislative record in Illinois in a single year.
Republicans controlled the Illinois General Assembly for six years of Obama's seven-year tenure.
Then Emil Jones Jr. (became the Senate Majority leader), He became Obama's kingmaker.
Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.
During his seventh year in the state Senate, Obama ... sponsored a whopping 26 bills including many he now cites in his presidential campaign when attacked as inexperienced.
Working Across the Aisles/ Making CHANGES = ZILCH
Taking Credit for Other People's Work/ Integrity = ZERO

Obama supporters, you are so rude. You turn me off more than your candidate does. You're so sexist for trying to erase a lifetime of accomplishment from a woman, without questioning the experience of your man. And as for the focus on the war, you were very glad to have John Kerry's endorsement (did you not vote for him? maybe that's why Bush got 8 years). You are happy to have the endorsement of the war supporting members of congress and you pooh pooh the Hillary's endorsements from genuine opponents of the war like Murtha.
Only your, of all the candidates, has opposed universal healthcare. Only yours, of all the candidates has supported the use of homophobic black clergy, or been apologists for tolerance of Louis Farrakan. Only you have dismissed Obama's readiness to go to war in cases of genocide, meaning there are several wars he's ready to fight on day one. Only you have supported sexism in the media.
And only you support disenfranchising Florida and Michigan. And only you think the upcoming primaries don't count.
All of this offends me more than anything said by your candidate. This is what makes it hard to conceive of ever being on the same team with you again.

The 35 years of Hillary's in politics added to the about 40 years of Bill Clinton give her campaign a total of about 75 years of political experience including 8 years of presidential life. All that does speak volume. They have earned my respect. But for them to still be fighting for the nomination against a simple U.S. junior Senator does speak even more volume. I think that is something superdelegates should really consider. Did she lose her Illinois? How questionable! She was born in Illinois.
Posted by: Art | April 30, 2008 5:37 PM
If you believe Hillary has 35 years experience - you are an idiot
If you believe she ever worked on foriegn policy then you think Bill Clinton should be in prison for unauthorized release of classified information to an uncleared person or you are an idiot.
If you think taking a sure win for universal health care and turning it into a defeat was postive experience - you are an idiot
If you think a plan to make the insurance companies more money by forcinf us to buy their products is an intellegent health care plan - you are an idiot.
If you think Hillary will not get us into another war before she finishes her 1st term, probably with Iran,to show that she is tough - you are an idiot.
If you think a multi millionair who never missed a meal in her life knows more about the needs of the working poor than a person that actually lived that sife - then you are an idiot.
If you think the Republicans will not "swift boat" her ducking bullets - your an idiot.
If you think the Clintons are ever out for anyone but the Clintons GUESS AGAIN

The last gasp of her dying campaign. Votes, delegates, money, states, vision, executive ability, Obama's got it all. The Republicans have destroyed America while wrapped in the flag and hugging the Bible.
Have you heard what McCain's spiritual advisers Hagee and Parsley say? 9/ was America's fault! Katrina was America's fault! AIDs is America's fault? How can McCain be so loyal to so-called Christians that "hate America"?
Listen to the R-party whimper how unfair it is to take a portion of a McCain speech about a 100 years in Iraq and play it over and over again! I can hear Howard Dean Reverend Wright murmuring in sympathy! Imagine! In American politics? What monsters they are!
Posted by: thebob.bob | April 30, 2008 5:29 PM
On the contrary, somebody who pastes hundreds of +dead's in a lame attempt to prove a non-point is an idiot.
Hillary did not vote for war, she voted to give the president authority to use as leverage, which is what he said he would do before he kicked out the UN weapons inspectors and invaded the country before they finished their job.
Don't blame Hillary, blame Bush for abusing his authority.. and your messiah gave an anti-war speech to an anti-war crowd at a time when he had no responsibility, especially not to the outraged citizens of New York who demanded that action be taken, and who also overwhelmingly voted for her in a second term afterwards.
If he were in the Senate, and if he like Hillary represented New Yorkers after 9/11, he would have voted the exact same way and you know it!

Yesterday Kentucky Congressman Ben Chandler had the courage to come out in support of Barack Obama, despite the long odds against him winning the state's primary. This was an embarrassment to the Hillary campaign that an elected SD would put the reputation with his own constituents at stake to support the candidate he believed would make the better candidate, president or both.
Today Representative Chandler is feeling the heat for this endorsement. According to Poltico Chandler's phone has been ringing off the hook since yesterday receiving numeros vitriolic complaints, many with offensive racial slurs, about his endorsement of Senator Obama. As of 2:30 PM yesterday, he had received 300 phone calls opposing his decision and only 5 calls in support.
We need to take action on this. Call Representative Chandler's office (especially if you are a Kentucky resident) and let him know that you support his decision to endorse the next President of the United States, Barack Obama!
You can donate too......Over $6500 raised from Obama supporters
