Vilsack Expected to Drop Out of 2008 Race
Former Gov. Tom Vilsack (D-Iowa) is expected to drop out of the 2008 presidential race on Friday with an announcement set for later in the day, according to sources both in Washington and Iowa.

Former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack is expected to withdraw from the presidential race.
Vilsack served as governor for eight years -- leaving office earlier this year. It was not immediately clear whether he would throw his support behind any of the remaining candidates.
More to come...

It's a good thing Vilsack isn't running for president; we don't need another moron in the White House.
Take a look:

Vilsack tested the presidential waters and has sunk into the swamp. He might be a VP choice, but other than being a governor, he offers nothing. Dull, boring, ....sounds more like Al Gore as VP. Now does Vilsack give the Iowa kiss of death to some other Democrat?

Its a shame to lose Vilsack, he was a strong and electable candidate. Too bad the MSM are so focused on the big three at this point. This will be good for Richardson as he is a very similar Democrat, who has gotten his hands dirty doing hard constituent kind of work.

WOW, no comments in here, I guess that shows how lack luster Vilsack really is. This reminds me of the 1992 presidential race with Tom Harkin running; he won Iowa and petered out for lack of national support. One point that Vilsack had was his own state at least supported him. McGovern failed to win S Dakota, his home state in 1972, and failed to win over 47 states as well.
Gore also failed to win his home state of Tennessee in 2000 and any other Southern State. Gore had been figure out how to win the South if he wants to run in 2008.
