Clinton on AIDS

One of the last candidates asked to answer the question about the problem of HIV in the black community, Sen. Clinton just had a nice moment.

She said that if AIDS was the leading cause of death among white women aged 25-54, there would be considerably more time and talk devoted to the issue. A standing ovation -- composed mostly of women -- followed. Clinton has made no secret that she is actively courting women across the country, a sound strategy given that she leads Obama by a two to one margin among women in the Post's most recent national survey. "I am working on this," Clinton pledged.

I support Candidate Clinton, who takes the AIDS problem in the world seriously and as one of the top priorities in her campaign. According to the Borgen Project, whose goal is to fight and reduce poverty, it only costs $23 billion dollars annually to reverses the spread of AIDS and Malaria. However, our government has already spent $340 billion dollars into the Iraq War. We need a serious candidate that is willing to address important issues that affects everyday Americans as well as the global community.
