Thompson Looms Over Debate

CNN's Wolf Blitzer broached the subject of former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.) in the debate. Thompson is exploring a run for the presidency but has not yet officially thrown his hat in the ring.

Former Gov. Jim Gilmore (Va.) gave an ambiguous answer. "Let's see exactly what is views are," said Gilmore.

Former Gov. Tommy Thompson (Wisc.) was much more positive, calling Fred Thompson a "great" candidate. But, he added, "If you are talking about a reliable conservative, it is this Thompson," he said.

Lack of interest in these loser GOP candidates looms large over these debates.
There is so little interest in any of these clowns... this story is getting the top headline at WaPo.com, yet nobody cares. A front page link, and nobody is bothering to chime in except for a few people like me who feel sorry for Chris, who is most certainly earning his pay right now. Give the man a raise for watching a debate nobody else has the stomach for.
