Obama Turns to the General Election
Although Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) continues to insist that his race against Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) is not yet over, his travel schedule over the next two weeks suggests that his campaign is already in the process of pivoting toward the general election.
Obama will spend tomorrow in Cape Girardeau, Missouri -- a key outpost in the more rural, Republican southeastern corner of the state -- before making two stops in Michigan on Wednesday. This coming weekend he will return to the primary trail with stops in South Dakota, which votes on June 3, and Oregon, which will hold its primary on May 20. (Obama, who is in West Virginia today, will not return before that state's primary tomorrow -- perhaps a wise move given that new poll shows him trailing Clinton by 36 points.)
His schedule the following week includes a three day swing through Florida with stops scheduled in Tampa, Orlando, Palm Beach County and Miami -- a series of visits that will include not just fundraising but also campaign events, according to his staff.
"Our schedule reflects the fact that we are still fighting for votes and delegates in the remaining contests but also that we are going to places that are going to be competitive in the fall," said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.
Stops in Missouri, Michigan and Florida even as the nomination fight continues are sure signs that Obama is already moving beyond the race with Clinton and beginning to try to set the playing field for his general election fight against Sen. John McCain.
Two of the three states made the most recent Fix Line ranking those most likely to reverse their result from the 2004 presidential election -- Michigan came in at #8 while Florida was #10. With Obama emerging as the presumptive nominee, Missouri could make its way on to the next Line given Obama's strong showing in the state during the primary and his status as a next door neighbor.
As the Post's Peter Slevin noted, Obama may well have work to do in Michigan and Florida to repair damage down by a primary process that sought to marginalize the two states. Both Michigan and Florida were punished by the Democratic National Committee for moving their primaries too far forward in the nomination fight. As a result, the state's delegates remain in limbo and some -- especially the party activists -- are unhappy about the treatment they have received from the national party.
What's clear is that Obama's campaign is now spending far more time positioning their candidate for the general election than worrying about whether or not he will be the nominee. That shift in focus is born of necessity; McCain secured his party's nod in mid-February and since then has been touring the country in an attempt to dictate the states that will comprise the playing field in the fall. Obama wants to make sure he levels that playing field and perhaps even expands the map beyond what most party strategists believe will be the 12 (or so) competitive states.
A look at the travel schedules of the two likely nominees suggest a few states where each will seek to expand the map. For McCain, that's Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Hampshire. For Obama, it's Florida, Ohio, Colorado and Missouri.
Which candidate fights this fall on his opponent's home turf will be a telling sign of where the election is headed. Is McCain forced to spend time and money defending an expensive state like Florida? Can Obama solve his potential problems in Pennsylvania between now and November? The answers to those questions may well signal the ultimate election result.

The rude bullying comments of those spellbound Obama supporters is part of the reason why so many Dems will not vote for Obama. We will be writing in Hillary Clintons name on the ballot if she is not the nominee...and McCain will be you next President, not the racist, arrogant, inexperienced guy you attempted to put in office.

What is all this talk about, the Obama campaign may pay off Hillary's debt.
The only thing we are going to pay Hillary is that we are going to pay her NO mind! LOL!!!!!!

Hillary will be a GREAT BIG winner in WV, but sorry folks, she's also a GREAT BIG loser as the Democratic nominee!
Don't cry, dry your eyes! Then get on board the OBAMA plane, it's taken off with or without you!

If Barack Obama gets his way, the Oxford English Dictionary will have updated its definition of "distraction" by the end of the campaign: "Diversion of the mind, attention, etc., from any object or course that tends to advance the political interests of Barack Obama."

"The notion that Obama has a problem with a certain segment of democratic voters is one of the great logical fallacies perpetrated and perpetuated by the media. No, this is a fair criticism of Obama. He hasn't been able to get these voters at least in the primary. Its kind of presumptuous to assume they will end up supporing him in the general election. One of the nice things about this prolonged contest is that Obama is now acutely aware of this demographic weakness and even with Indiana has started working on it. Hopefully he can continue to make some inroads.

Obama - no relevantexperience, no understanding of what Americans want, no sensitivity to ethnic groups except his own, ignorance of foreign and domestic policy.
McCain - sucked into the faux patriotic ideology of the GW Bush crowd, tied to unworkable failed Republican policies, abandoned the "straight talk express".
Two very flawed candidates and one big loser - the American people.

I am from Turkey and I am shocked by the comments on this blog. Doesn't the newspaper have a right to scan and omit the most ridiculous and obnoxious ones?
This is not politics and free speech. This is madness. I have very little respect for U.S. media but, even then, there should be a line drawn for decency.

The notion that Obama has a problem with a certain segment of democratic voters is one of the great logical fallacies perpetrated and perpetuated by the media. The voters by and large who are voting in the democratic primaries are democrats or independents or disenchanted republicans who will support the Democratic nominee - whoever he or she may be. The media is taking this subset of voters and extrapolating their voting patterns to the general election which does not make any sense. These are democratic voters (for the most part). While a certain segment of this electorate may prefer Clinton over Obama or vice-versa, to make an broad, unsupported assumption that a certain group or demographic of voters does not support Obama because they have a preference for Clinton is erroneous. Certainly there are some Clinton voters who will vote for McCain in the general (and Obama voters who would vote for McCain over Clinton if she were to the be nominee). But to conclude that the white, blue collar voters who support Clinton do not also, and will not also, support Obama come the general is to make a leap of logic that is unsupportable. Its about degrees of preference.

I continue to hear: "We don't know enough about Obama". I wonder how many who utter thes words have read his book THE AUDACITY OF HOPE in which we learn a great deal about him? I had the privilege of travelling to Cuba with a group of retired and active clergy a year or so ago. One of the gentlemen was a retired cleric/lawyer. He had had the privilege of working with Obama, who was in the Illinois Senate at the time along with a Republican colleague. He spent many hours developing a law against red lining by banks and mortgage institutions which kept minorities from obtaining various properties. When I asked him about Obama he said he was a man of absolute integrity and trustworthiness. When we learn, as has been the case of any who have cared to listen to his speeches, about his work on the streets of Chicago and his committment to the Constitution (a thing which we have seen shredded and trashed by this adminsitration), we can know a great deal about Obama. For one thing, and a very important thing, we can trust that when he has the oportunity of nominating people to the Supreme Court, the nominations will reflect that integrity and dedication to the Constitution. We will have people on the Court who will respect civil liberties which we are seeing diminished increasingly under the Bush appointees. The country will be in good hands under Obama's leadership. He will try to connect with enemies rather than trying to isolate, a practice which has failed to advance our standing in the world community one iota in the last 7 years. I'm ready for a change and I believe the kind of change Obama will initiate is exactly what we need. Howard Beardslee

I've said it before and I'll say it until it's born out on election day...
Barack Obama = Ned Lamont
Barack Obama = Ned Lamont
Barack Obama = Ned Lamont
The anti-war movement has pushed this extremely left-wing, charismatic candidate over the top for the nomination and he'll get creamed in the general by the moderate/maverick (John McCain = Joe Lieberman, in this analogy).

Awww, Republicans are sooo sad. They don't like being called a racist. Stop supporting racist policies, then labeling it "wasteful spending." How shallow, and evasive is that? Republicans are such crybabies. Obama made a misstatement. Yeah, that's what I need to worry about. Keep fighting terror in Arabia, and I guess you'll let us know when you think you see victory. Comfortable Republicans have no policies to offer, so they cry because they don't like hearing that they're race-baiting. It's just too much for them. It spoils the integrity the already ruined for themselves. Karl Rove tonight on Hannity & Colmes was so patronizing. He might be politically savvy, but if my children ever aspired to be an apologist for the greedy rich 5% of this country, I'd felt I'd failed them. You really think this war is a good idea? Honestly? Gasoline was $1.50/a gallon when Clinton left office. Now it's approaching $4/a gallon. I thought the President who doesn't like nation-building said the war would pay for itself with the oil. Ohhh, I see, removing Saddam Hussein was an effort to appease, to mollify the Saudi oil tycoons. And John McCain & the RNC want me to shut up! they'll thell me when they see victory. Yeah, they'll see victory when you and I see John McCain explain how well Reagan-Bush economics have been for America these past eight years.

Obama supporters are way too arrogant, way too greedy and way too out of touch with reality.
All of us were excited about electing a Black President.
When Colin Powell looked like he was going to run, I and every other Democrat I know was looking forward to voting for him, even though he was a Republicaan.
Colin Powell had a tremendous amount of experience in both the military and the government.
Powell was a little like a Black "Ike" just like Ike had won WWII, Powell had won the first gulf war.
Colin Powell's color was a non-issue.
If he was white we would have wanted him just as much.
The fact that he was Black was a plus, but it wasn't needed to make him viable.
Barry Obama is no Colin Powell.
Obama's only "special feature" was that he was Black.
Besides that he was totally unimpressive.
If Obama wasn't Black, none of us would have considered him for a nanosecond.
Obama's only had 1.5 years in the Senate before he started running for the whitehouse.
He doesn't have any other management or military experience.
He's ultra far-left.
Obama presented himself as "post racial" but he lied to us.
Through his own words, writing, and history of going to a racist, anti-white, anti-semitic, "Black Liberation Theology" church for 20 years and choosing its racist pastor as his spiritual advisor, Obama's changed from Huey Lewis to Huey Newton.
One more Freudian slip and he'll be Malcom X.
Then we found out about the cocaine.
He didn't just try it, he used it over and over.
It wasn't just a rumor.
He bragged about it in his book.
Then he blocked the votes of Florida and Michigan.
Then there was Obama's comment about "typical white people"
Then there was Obama's comment about poor people "clinging to guns and religion"
Then Obama lost every debate.
Then there's Rezko.
Then there's "Obama's Slums"
Then there's the repeated lying and the constantly changing stories and changing from supporting Rev Wright to throwing him under the nearest Bus.
Obama's completely and totally unelectable.
If Bush himself was running, he'd beat Obama.
If we nominate Obama we lose.

Time to take back the country from Republican rule. Relax Hillary Clinton supporters. You ran a good race and it was very close. I didn't support your candidate, but I would have if she had won the primary. She didn't, though it was very close. Do we want John McCain making Supreme Court appointments and decisions about whether to "bomb, bomb, bomb - bomb, bomb Iran?" I don't think so. Eight years of Bush was more than enough. Time to take back the White House.

Here on the planet formerly known as earth we have a thing called "logic"
Unknown to residents of the planet called "Obama", logic enables us to make good decisions.
Obama supporters like to claim they know math.
Unfortuantely, they constantly confuse real and imaginary numbers.
Obama can only be elected in imaginary space.
Hillary can be elected in real space.
Obama supporters seem to believe that White people will vote for someone who is on record saying that he hates them.
The record is a thing called a "book" which was written by Obama.
More recent quotes from the man called Obama talk about "Typical white people"
And, Of course, Obama-man went to a "Black Liberation Theology" church for 20 years, and recordings of what went on in that church are available using an strange device called a "you tube"
Here on earth, we have analyzed all this information and have determined that given the number of white vs black people in America, Obama stands about as much chance of being elected as a snowball does of lasting a month on the surface of the sun.
The choice is simple.
Obama can have the nomination and be a candidate for a few months, but never be president.
Or We can Nominate Clinton/Obama, and have the whitehouse for the next 16 years.
Obama supporters don't have very good reasoning skills.
They're more into "faith" and "change"
That's too bad.
Sixteen years is a whole lot better than four months.
Its too bad Obama supporters never had the chance to visit earth.

There's Nothing Obama Can Say To Get Back the White Vote.
His own mouth has done him in.
Obama supporters keep saying "do the math"
Ok, here's a math problem for the Obama supporters.
Which is greater, the number of Black Americans or the number of White Americans.
If there are more Black Americans, Obama wins.
If there are more White Americans, Obama loses.
Obama's the one who turned the race into one of Black vs. White.
Obama's own words about "Typical White People" and his 20 years of going to a "Blame Whitey" "Black Liberation Church" changed him from Huey Lewis to Huey Newton.
One more Freudian Slip and he'll morph himself in to Malcom X.
Obama's unelectable in a national election.
Its nobody's fault but his own.
If we nominate him, we lose by a landslide.
Wouldn't it be better to win instead by nominating Hillary?
Keep your eyes on the prize.
November means everything.
Coming in second doesn't mean squat in a two party contest.
Will Obama supporters be smart and mature enough to do the right thing.
My bet is that they won't be.
And that means that Democrats will lose.
Suprise me.
Do the smart thing.
Nominate Hillary Clinton.
Clinton/Obama.
Winning beats losing every time.

Military Plays Up Role of Zarqawi
Jordanian Painted As Foreign Threat To Iraq's Stability
By Thomas E. Rick,
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, April 10, 2006; Page A01
The U.S. military is conducting a propaganda campaign to magnify the role of the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, according to internal military documents and officers familiar with the program. The effort has raised his profile in a way that some military intelligence officials believe may have overstated his importance and helped the Bush administration tie the war to the organization responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
The documents state that the U.S. campaign aims to turn Iraqis against Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian, by playing on their perceived dislike of foreigners. U.S. authorities claim some success with that effort, noting that some tribal Iraqi insurgents have attacked Zarqawi loyalists.
'Leverage Xenophobia'
Two slides from a briefing prepared for Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, describe a U.S. military propaganda campaign that was intended to highlight the role of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian terrorist, in the Iraqi insurgency. By emphasizing his foreign origin, the "psychological operations" effort sought to play on a perceived Iraqi dislike of foreigners and so split the insurgency.
For the past two years, U.S. military leaders have been using Iraqi media and other outlets in Baghdad to publicize Zarqawi's role in the insurgency. The documents explicitly list the "U.S. Home Audience" as one of the targets of a broader propaganda campaign.
Some senior intelligence officers believe Zarqawi's role may have been overemphasized by the propaganda campaign, which has included leaflets, radio and television broadcasts, Internet postings and at least one leak to an American journalist. Although Zarqawi and other foreign insurgents in Iraq have conducted deadly bombing attacks, they remain "a very small part of the actual numbers," Col. Derek Harvey, who served as a military intelligence officer in Iraq and then was one of the top officers handling Iraq intelligence issues on the staff of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told an Army meeting at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., last summer.
In a transcript of the meeting, Harvey said, "Our own focus on Zarqawi has enlarged his caricature, if you will -- made him more important than he really is, in some ways."
"The long-term threat is not Zarqawi or religious extremists, but these former regime types and their friends," said Harvey, who did not return phone calls seeking comment on his remarks.
There has been a running argument among specialists in Iraq about how much significance to assign to Zarqawi, who spent seven years in prison in Jordan for attempting to overthrow the government there. After his release he spent time in Pakistan and Afghanistan before moving his base of operations to Iraq. He has been sentenced to death in absentia for planning the 2002 assassination of U.S. diplomat Lawrence Foley in Jordan. U.S. authorities have said he is responsible for dozens of deaths in Iraq and have placed a $25 million bounty on his head.
Recently there have been unconfirmed reports of a possible rift between Zarqawi and the parent al-Qaeda organization that may have resulted in his being demoted or cut loose. Last week, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said that it was unclear what was happening between Zarqawi and al-Qaeda. "It may be that he's not being fired at all, but that he is being focused on the military side of the al-Qaeda effort and he's being asked to leave more of a political side possibly to others, because of some disagreements within al-Qaeda," he said.
The military's propaganda program largely has been aimed at Iraqis, but seems to have spilled over into the U.S. media. One briefing slide about U.S. "strategic communications" in Iraq, prepared for Army Gen. George W. Casey Jr., the top U.S. commander in Iraq, describes the "home audience" as one of six major targets of the American....

The Houses of Bush, Sabah, and Maktoum
by Wayne Madsen
The Bush Crime Family's close business dealings with the royal houses of Kuwait (the Sabah family) and Dubai (the Maktoum family) either borders on or is treason according to information received from U.S. military and Persian Gulf sources by WMR.
The Bush Crime Family: Texas Yankees in the Gulf Emirs' courts: Dubya, Poppy, Neil, Marvin, and Jeb
The Sabah family and their business cohorts are reportedly skimming hundreds of millions of dollars from the shipping of military materiel through Kuwait to U.S. forces in Iraq. Moreover, much of this money is being used to fund the SUNNI insurgency in Iraq that is directed against U.S. troops....and killing quite a few of them.
In 1993, former President George H. W. Bush was awarded an honorary doctorate by Kuwait University and Kuwait's highest honor, the Order of Mubarak the Great. Bush was accompanied on a Kuwait Airways flight by his sons Neil and Marvin and former Secretary of State James Baker III, former chief of staff John Sununu, and Joint Chiefs Operations Director General Thomas Kelly.
After the trip Neil landed lucrative contracts with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water.
Marvin secured defense contracts for his clients.
James Baker III, nailed down deals for Enron.
To ratchet things up with Saddam,
Kuwait STAGED a round-up of some Iraqi whiskey smugglers said to be planning the assassination of the elder Bush during his visit to Kuwait.

Destabilizing Iraq: The Saudi Role USA TODAY
A "clear" view of Iraq is now visible only through a blood-soaked kaleidoscope of contradictory and conflicting U.S. policies. While the Bush administration regularly lashes out at Syria and Iran for aiding militias and foreign fighters in Iraq, according to official U.S. military figures reported in the Los Angeles Times on July 15, about 45% of all foreign militants targeting U.S. troops and Iraqi civilians and security forces are from Saudi Arabia. Fighters from the kingdom are believed to have carried out the majority of suicide bombings in Iraq.
Who is to blame for the influx of fighters though? Gen. Mansour Turki, a spokesman for the Saudi Interior Ministry, however, blames forces inside of Iraq for the flow of Saudi human bombs into Iraq. If he is to be believed, "Saudis are actually being misused. Someone is helping them come to Iraq. Someone is helping them inside Iraq. Someone is recruiting them to be suicide bombers. We have no idea who these people are. We aren't getting any formal information from the Iraqi government." But Iraqis are quick to point the finger across the border. Lawmaker Sami Askari, an advisor to Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Askari accuses Saudi officials of following a deliberate policy of sowing chaos in Baghdad: "The fact is that Saudi Arabia has strong intelligence resources, and it would be hard to think that they are not aware of what is going on."
Askari claims that imams at Saudi mosques regularly call for jihad against Iraq's Shi'ites and that the Saudi government had funded groups to cause chaos and bloodshed in Iraq's predominantly Shi'ite south.
But in large part this continues to be conveniently overlooked by the Bush administration so that massive arms packages can be sold to Saudi Arabia, access to the vast oil reserves continues unabated, and the
SAUDI ROYAL family's and Bin Laden families,
long-standing connections to
the BUSH families.....as providors of MONEY TO THE BUSHES...
remain unmentioned in mainstream circles.

It appears that the Obama people have really gone off the deep end tonight - Im not sure why - there is a difference between stating an opinion and nonsense.
I suspect this is a strategy to drown out reasonable discussion.
First, they are attempting to "scroll" comments so that comments which they do not agree are way down the page, buried by nonsense or long news articles.
Second, they are attempting to discourage people from posting by dragging down the discourse.
That is my call.

READ THIS:
Just as the Iran-Contra scandal evolved to include drug smuggling, the Iraq War also is closely related to drug smuggling. While the Bush regime has so far managed to keep the drug smuggling aspects of the war from reaching the media, evidence is beginning to emerge. The evidence comes largely from a former FBI translator turned whistle-blower, Sibel Edmonds. Hired to translate intercepted messages soon after 9/11 this Turkish lady first blew the whistle on the FBI for dragging its feet. She has state emphatically that she has seen documents that prove the Bush administration was fully aware of the terrorist attack before 9/11. While ATTORNEY GENERAL JOHN ASHCROFT, has imposed a gag order on her, this courageous lady has only been able to speak in generalized terms. However, she has repeatedly stated that when viewed as an international drug smuggling operation the picture becomes clear.
Sibel Edmonds has provided a huge clue in her generalized statements, a clue that points directly at the BUSH FAMILY and DICK CHENEY. Haliburton the oil services company formerly headed by CHENEY has a long history of involvement in drug smuggling and gunrunning especially through its Brown and Root subsidiary. Brown and Root also has a long history of providing cover for CIA agents. In the late 1970s Brown and Root was implicated in drug smuggling and gunrunning from oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico built by Brown and Root and using ships owned by Brown and Root. In the 1990s Brown and Root was implicated in smuggling heroin to Europe through Russia. The heroin originated in Laos.
The Russian incident surfaced in 1995 after thieves stole sacks of heroin concealed as sugar from a rail container leased by Alfa Echo. Authorities were alerted to the problem after residents of Khabarovsk, a Siberian city became intoxicated from consuming the heroin. Alfa Echo is part of the Russian Alfa group of companies controlled by Mikhail Fridman and Pyotr Aven. The FSB, the Russian equivalent of the FBI firmly proved a solid link between Alfa Tyumen and drug smuggling. The drug smuggling route was further exposed after the Ministry of Internal Affairs raided Alfa Eko buildings and found drugs and other compromising documentation. Under Cheney's leadership of Haliburton, Brown and Root received a taxpayer insured loan through the Export-Import Bank of $292 million dollars for Brown and Root to refurbish a Siberian oil field owned by Alfa Tyumen. The Alfa Bank is also implicated in money laundering for the Colombian cocaine cartels.

Bush-Linked Company Handled Security for the WTC, Dulles and United
.......The suite in which Marvin Bush was annually re-elected, according to public records, is located in the Watergate in space leased to the Saudi government. The company now holds shareholder meetings in space leased by the Kuwaiti government there. The White House has not responded to various requests for comment.
Speaking of the Watergate, Riggs National Bank, where Saudi Princess Al-Faisal had her ``Saudi money trail" bank account, has as one of its executives Jonathan Bush, an uncle of the president. The public has not learned whether Riggs - which services 95 percent of Washington's foreign embassies - will be turning over records relating to Saudi finance.
Meanwhile, Bush has nominated William H. Donaldson to head the Securities and Exchange Commission. Donaldson, a longtime Bush family friend, was a Yale classmate of Jonathan Bush.
On the very day of the tragic space shuttle crash, the government appointed an independent investigative panel, and rightly so. Why didn't it do the same on Sept. 12, 2001?
Bush-Linked Company Handled Security for the WTC, Dulles and United
by Margie Burns
George W. Bush's brother was on the board of directors of a company providing electronic security for the World Trade Center, Dulles International Airport and United Airlines, according to public records. The company was backed by an investment firm, the Kuwait-American Corp., also linked for years to the Bush family.
[TO ALL OF YOU VIRGINIA RESIDENTS, YOU KNOW THAT DULLES INTERNATIONAL IS PORT OF ENTRY FOR AMBASSADORS, no checks for ambassadorial privelege could bring any number of things people in]
The security company, formerly named Securacom and now named Stratesec, is in Sterling, Va.. Its CEO, Barry McDaniel, said the company had a ``completion contract" to handle some of the security at the World Trade Center ``up to the day the buildings fell down."
It also had a three-year contract to maintain electronic security systems at Dulles Airport, according to a Dulles contracting official. Securacom/Stratesec also handled some security for United Airlines in the 1990s, according to McDaniel, but it had been completed before his arriving on the board in 1998.
McDaniel confirmed that the company has security contracts with the Department of Defense, including the U.S. Army, but did not detail the nature of the work, citing security concerns. It has an ongoing line with the General Services Administration - meaning that its bids for contracts are noncompetitive - and also did security work for the Los Alamos laboratory before 1998.
Marvin P. Bush, the president's youngest brother, was a director at Stratesec from 1993 to fiscal year 2000. But the White House has not publicly disclosed Bush connections in any of its responses to 9/11, nor has it mentioned that another Bush-linked business had done security work for the facilities attacked.
Marvin Bush joined Securacom when it was capitalized by the Kuwait-American Corporation, a private investment firm in D.C. that was the security company's major investor, sometimes holding a controlling interest. Marvin Bush has not responded to telephone calls and e-mails for comment.
KuwAm has been linked to the Bush family financially since the Gulf War. One of its principals and a member of the Kuwaiti royal family, Mishal Yousef Saud al Sabah, served on the board of Stratesec.
The managing director at KuwAm, Wirt D. Walker III, was also a principal at Stratesec, and Walker, Marvin Bush and al Sabah are listed in SEC filings as significant shareholders in both companies during that period.
Marvin Bush's last year on the board at Stratesec coincided with his first year on the board of HCC Insurance, formerly Houston Casualty Co., one of the insurance carriers for the WTC. He left the HCC board in November 2002.
But none of these connections has been looked at during the extensive investigations since 9/11. McDaniel says principals and other personnel at Stratesec have not been questioned or debriefed by the FBI or other investigators. Walker declined to answer the same question regarding KuwAm, referring to the public record.
Walker is also chairman and CEO of Aviation General, a Tulsa, Okla.-based aviation company with two subsidiaries. SEC filings also show al Sabah as a principal and shareholder in Aviation General, which was recently delisted by the Nasdaq. Stratesec was delisted by the American Stock Exchange in October 2002.

The company now holds shareholder meetings in space leased by the Kuwaiti government there. The White House has not responded to various requests for comment.

another form of it is Limp rushing bought, trying to snare Hillary by rushing towards her and saying he want her to run against McCain, because she will galvanize the Repulsivescammers.

The reasons she chose for voting for Barack are more important than voting for a party.
The republican party has been used as a tool by bushCO and CRONYs, none of whom are working for your future.
They are working to fabricate collusion to put money in their pockets at the expense of the NATION.
When the nation falls and it is republican partisanism that has aided and abetted that fall,
republicans will be held responsible for the lack of insight, and the adherence to jingle type thinking.
Conservatism? With a 3 Trillion dollar budget. NO vetoe for 7 years? $120 a barrel oil?
Please being a republican means "not having to think," in my opinion.

Obama can't win the general election.
Like skydiving without a parachute, there really isn't much point in doing it.
Hillary's problem is much easier.
She can easily win the general election, she's just having trouble getting nominated.
The nomination is under the Democratic Party's control.
The only logical solution is to make Hillary the nominee.
That way, we win in November.
Clinton/Obama - Its not only unbeatable, its the only game in town.

Greenspan Memoir Democratic Gift, Republican Grenade (Update1)
By Matthew Benjamin
Sept. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Alan Greenspan, a conservative central banker, has tossed a political grenade into the 2008 elections and it exploded right under his Republican Party.
In his memoir, ``The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World,'' the former Federal Reserve chairman skewered President George W. Bush and congressional Republicans for what he said was reckless spending and a politically driven economic agenda and said they deserved to lose control of Congress in 2006. By contrast, he praised former President Bill Clinton, a Democrat, and his economic record.
Greenspan's words are likely to echo throughout next year's campaigns for president and Congress.
``Democrats will taunt the Republicans with this and they will have to address it,'' said James Carville, who ran Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. ``This is not coming from some shoe clerk.''
Scott Reed, a Republican consultant who managed Bob Dole's 1996 presidential campaign, said Greenspan's words should be ``a wake-up call'' for the party.
``Republicans running for office from the courthouse to the White House have to go back to the basics of economic conservatism or they will be sent back to the stone ages in electoral politics,'' Reed said.
In the book, scheduled for release today, Greenspan, 81, wrote that he was dismayed to find soon after Bush took office in January 2001 that politics, not thoughtful policy making, drove the new president's economic agenda.
`Open-Handed Spending'
Bush's tax cuts were ``unmatched by decreased spending, and, in the wake of September 11, still more open-handed spending,'' he wrote. ``Little value was placed on rigorous economic policy debate or the weighing of long-term consequences.''

I'm much smarter than you think...
confusion is good for people, they have to "make sure,"
so confuse all you want to , I'll be having sex with your daughter tonight...
not to take sides here...
but the whole "defense" issue is "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth."
It really doesn't matter what side you're on. There are two primitives playing
pot and kettle.
The difference between them is that one is supposed to be smarter.
how about the United Statess?
If it weren't for the greed of the PNAC people, Wolfowitz, Bush, Cheney, Brother Jeb, Scooter, Rumsfeld, Rice, Rove and the oil cartels..........there wouldn't be a hot bed of unrest and poop hitting the fan right now.
There would be a slow policy of moving the middle eastern communities into mainstream thought processes.
You want to change the world for the worlds benefit, it would occur differently than occupying a country and telling the occupying troops that the citizens of the country that you're occupying commited an attack against America...which is what bush/cheney/rove and others did
The figure quoted by the Wall Street Journal was in the 80% range a year ago.....ground troops thought that the Iraqi people were involved in WTC.
The soldiers were kicking down doors, arresting families, intimidating neighborhoods _as_a_way_of_doing_business_
in fact Washington Post had an article describing the tone, "It felt weird and looked wrong," read it.........
is this the tone that "liberators" set? or intimidators?
families that have subjugated peoples to work on their sugar plantations in the West Indies as slaves?
bushes uncle walker lost billions when Cuba took his West Indies holdings...that's why George H.W. Bush and his zapata oil company got involved in Castros assassination...and JFK got killed.
Do you think the belief system that there are classes of people that are best treated poorly to keep them in line, is passed down through families?
apparently, check your bill of rights and see if it's still there
I think the Patriot Act removed it...

As, we learn more about Obama it is evident that he is not ready to be President. He may have a Harvard degree but I want my candidate to be smarter than a fifth grader. During a speech in Oregon, he stated that he had visited 57 states and there were 2 he would not visit.
It was reported today that one of Obama's staffers met with Hamas. I wonder how long it will take Obama's media to report this.
I believe, Obama has promised Hillary something if she stayed in the race until West Virginia and Kentucky. Think about it, if Hillary had dropped out after Indiana, how would it look to the Superdelegates if Obama lost Kentucky and West Virginia and the only competition was against himself
Has Obama chosen not to campaign in West Virginia because it is not black enough?

OBAMA: HOW DO I PAY FOR THOSE BALLET LESSONS, ER, I MEAN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, - WHAT IS THAT ? THE PENTAGON OR GUNS? OR IS THE DONALD RUMSFELD RETIREMENT ACCOUNT?
OBAMA: 3AM

Let's tell the delegates they will be seated, but at the last minute take their chairs and hide them! Obama will then cream Hillary at the Convention.

Obama's preening is a little premature. The Democratic race is not over yet.
The recent LA Times/Bloomberg national poll taken a few days before and a few days after the IN and NC primaries is more on target than today's WashingtonPost/ABC poll.
According to the Times/Bloomberg poll, the economy is the most pressing concern of the people, and the people trust Hillary Clinton more than either Obama or McCain to handle it.
In the meantime, 41 Former South Dakota State Legislators and Constitutional Officers Endorsed Hillary Clinton today - so much for George McGovern:
http://katalusis.blogspot.com/2008/05/41-former-south-dakota-state.html
And Clinton supporters, on the eve of the WVA primary where Hillary is expected to win by a landslide, are singing along with John Denver, "West Virginia, Mountain Mama..."
We're looking forward to a repeat performance in Kentucky next Tuesday.
Note to Obamphiles: Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

You whiners forget that Obama didn't make the DNC rules, he just followed them. It's the Clintons who want to change the rules after the game is over. McAuliffe agreed to the proposed compromise yesterday: seat half the delegates at the convention.

That's an understatement. But, what do you expect. Hillary has elevated this election into the theater of the absurd. She is grotesque too.
Posted by: Chief Two Dogs | May 12, 2008 9:41 PM
Michigan should actually tell the national democratic party that because the national party refused to count Michigan's primary, the candidate selected by the national democratic party will not have a ballot position in Michigan in the November election.
Fair is fair.
The Democrats in Washington want to push Michigan around, it is time Michigan stuck up for itself.
This entire episode has been a bad joke.
To be completely honest, there is no reason why Michigan should back down in the discussions over the next set of primaries in the next election cycle. There is no reason why Nevada should go before Michigan.

"The argument that no president has ever been elected without carrying West Virginia is ridiculous."
I can think of at least 16 that were...
I am, for the first time in my life, ashamed of my party and those in it. Worse than worst of any Republican in history, I'm afraid.

The argument that no president has ever been elected without carrying West Virginia is ridiculous. By that logic, no one has ever become president of the United States without being white. So now are Americans to simply vote for white people as presidential candidates? Hate to tell you folks 'But the times - they are a-changin.'
Posted by: woody | May 12, 2008 9:36 PM
NEVER AGAIN will the American People have their voices muffled and their votes disenfranchised. Once with Howard Douglas DISENFRANCHISING BLACK, white, Asian, Hispanic and American Native Indian women.
The second time with Howard Dean DISENFRANCHISING the voters and voices of Michigan and Florida residents and American Citizens.
JUST SO NO to the DNC Insiders, Howard Dean, and the SUPER DELEGATES.
NEVER AGAIN!! Never again!! NEVER AGAIN!!
The American People will have their VOICES HEARD (Hillary R. Clinton will be a Presidential Candidate and will DEBATE both McCain and Obama come Novemer) and their VOTES COUNT!! Hillary R. Clinton will be on the ballot and all of her supporters in Michigan, Florida, California, New York, Texas, Ohio. Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Indiana and West Virginia will have their VOTES COUNTED!!
Hillary R. Clinton for President.
Hillary R. Clinton for President.
Hillary R. Clinton for President.

Response to Aussie2020
The uncommitted vote in Michigan is allocated thorough a process of party meetings - so for each of the delegate slots for uncommitted, real people had to be chosen to fill each slot.
Even though there was the dispute with the national party, the Michigan democratic party did go through the meeting process of filling the delegate slots with actual people who supported one candidate or the other.
So Michigan has a entire set of delegates selected and ready to go - whether the national ends up recognizing them or not.
The uncommitted slots were eventually filled with people who supported Obama or Hillary or are uncommitted.
So Obama has Michigan delegates duly elected - and Obama has Michigan superdelegates who support him. How many is subject to analysis.

look,
both Obama and Clinton,
are surrounded by and have some wolves working for them...
you all need to understand something.
slaves were prevented from learning to read and write and how to take care of themselves by the masters...
the masters don't want either Hillary or Barack to win...
but they'd rather have Barack win , because he's sure that they are a product of her imagination...
Clinton didn't take them down when he came into office, because he like Barack wanted to give everyone a "fair say,"

Take a look at the picture of Barack Obama and sen. Edwards on CNN, "Political ticker" today "Edwards to endorse Obama".
Obamas chin is far too high and his eyes are looking down at you. The matter of fact is that his pose is very affected and that he looks like as if a dictator is being born at this very moment. I am sure that the American economy is going to be a disaster for years to come as well as the wars in Middle East. The hope is leaving USA and Russia, China and Iran are taking over.
