McCain To Meet With Jindal
John McCain will huddle with vice presidential aspirant Bobby Jindal during a trip to New Orleans later this week, sources close to the campaign confirm to The Fix.
McCain's trip to Louisiana on Wednesday was the cause of much head scratching in the political world as it was not in keeping with a week of planned stops in battleground states.
But, the meeting with Jindal, who has been the state's governor since 2007, suggests that McCain himself is deeply engaged in the process of picking his second-in-command and that the youthful Jindal is under serious consideration.
(Worth noting: Conservative columnist Bob Novak is reporting -- and Matt Drudge is touting -- that McCain will make his vice presidential pick known by the end of this week.)

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (R) (Mark Wilson/Getty Images)
Jindal, at 37, is widely regarded within the Republican party nationally as one of its rising stars and has been touted as the best choice for vice president by a variety of party luminaries ranging from former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.) to talk radio celebrity Rush Limbaugh.
In a recent profile of Limbaugh, New York Times magazine reporter Zev Chafets wrote: "As for politics, Rush has already picked his candidate for the Conservative Restoration: Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, a 37-year-old prodigy whom Limbaugh considers to be a genuine movement conservative in the Ronald Reagan mold -- 'fresh, energetic and optimistic in his view of America.'" Gingrich has called Jindal "America's most transformational governor."
If McCain picked Jindal, it would have several immediate echoes in the race.
First, McCain would essentially cede one of the main pillars of his argument against Obama: experience. Jindal is a nearly a decade younger than Obama and, although he served in Congress before being elected governor, his foreign policy resume is at least as thin as Obama's.
Second, and more positively for McCain, naming Jindal would be a major symbolic step in fundamentally re-branding the Republican party. Jindal, an Indian-American, would put a whole new face on a party that is widely seen by voters as controlled by old white men.
A Jindal pick is the definition of unorthodox. But, in an election cycle where the Republican brand is as badly tarnished as at any time in recent memory, a "Hail Mary" (or "Hail Bobby") may be warranted.

The article is wrong on one point. Jindal was inaugurated on January 14, 2008. You've added an extra year of experience for him.

I have been observing all the veep prospect for both sides and I must say that Jindal stuck out the most. Part of it is the age and the ethnicity and the amazing accomplishments but mostly its because this guy is one dedicated governor. I've noticed that at every chance, he promotes Louisiana and promotes businesses, people and their culture. I don't believe this man will forget his LA roots even if he's in the whitehouse as VP. I hope Mccain pick JIndal as VP.

There is indeed a god and I always knew it. I'm happy with all this talk of Jindal being Mccain's VP. I think Jindal is an excellent choice who has great self awareness along with with a solid drive to make things better for all people. I hope Jindal will be the pick, I honestly do hope so. This country needs a problem solver who's actually done it and is good at it. And this is an independent voter talking in case it matters to anyone.

There is a God! For once I agree with Rush. Please, oh please, let McCain choose the crazy exorcist for his running mate. I will wait with bated breath for the twerp to "cure" someone's cancer or rid them of demons at campaign stops. Have the Republicans even bothered to run a background check on this guy? He wrote an essay back in the 90s admitting to carrying out an exorcism on a friend with skin cancer and claim he "cured" her cancer. He's nuts! If the any American is stupid enough to vote for a man who would even consider choosing this lunatic Jindal as his running mate we are in serious trouble.

Jindal's accomplishements:
1: Toughest Ethics Laws in the Country: Very nice except for the fact that in a last minute, behind closed doors meeting, the Governor's aides change the threshold of enforcing those new laws to criminal standards of reasonable doubt. This is from the "weak" standards of most states of preponderance of evidence. Net result: unenforceable laws which means that the previous limited laws were better since someone could actually be charged.
2: Fiscally Conservative: Championed the largest state budget of all time by over a billion dollars (and LA leads the nation in per capita spending) but touts reduction from previous governors.
3: Cuts wasteful spending: Eliminated $16 million is wasteful earmarks in LA by veto!!!! ... but let a record of $39 million of earmarks become law by signing!!!!
4: Fights unruly legislators: Vetoed absurd pay raises for LA legislators after promising them he wouldn't. But signs into law pay raises for executive officials raising them from the top 10% nationally to the top 1.
I could go on but the record speaks for itself.

Better yet, I would call Jindal the unexpected pleasant surprise in this general election. You know....the kind of unexpected surprises that comes only once in a long while but when it does, we all recognize it as such. My vote is still pending because 3 months is long time to discover new facts and new positions but I have been unexpectely and pleasantly surprised that Mccain may choose Jindal as VP. The senator from arizona will have my full attention. I can see where his heart is now with this pick.

As an actual resident of Louisiana I have to say that Jindal is the only republican I've ever actually voted for but to be fair his competition was sub-par at best. And so far on the job he's already screwed up twice. First he says he's gonna let legislative branch run themselves and then they do what Louisiana politicians do and try and pass through a pay raise for themselves and poor Jindal has to go back on his word (which he never should have given in the first place) and veto it. Then this horrible intelligent creationism thing. Now I see he's bending to the holy rollers who for some reason insist that their views are the only valid ones.
In fact I take everything back maybe he's a good match for McBush. I mean they both are about as stiff backed as a hollow reed that sways which ever way the wind blows. So, by all means make him your veep and lose like you're going to.
If it makes any of you feel better how about we call it "manifest destiny"?

Bobby Jindal just signed a bill into law allowing for the teaching of "intelligent" design in Louisiana's public schools, hardly what one would expect from a Rhodes scholar. No wonder he's the darling of the religious nuts.
He also has never stayed in one job long enough to do much more than leave a big stinking, steamy turd for his successor to clean up. He now proposes to do that with his current job, very true to form.

Despite having supported ROmney in the primaries, I'd REALLY like to see Bobby Jindal in the VP spot. Very bright; very forthright; politically 'clean'----he is truly a rising star. My strong favorite for the first 'minority president' (though I could care less if he's a minority or not) once McCain's finished his tenure (or, if he loses, once the Republicans go at it again in 2012). I like Romney a lot, and think he'd be at least as good. He is unfortunately vulnerable to nonsensical critiques that nonetheless have just enough traction with malleable voters (too white, too Mormon, too rich) to tip gthe boat towards Obama.
Run, Bobby run...

McCain does not need a "Hail Mary" pass as Chris suggests. He's virtually tied with Obama in the daily Gallup and Rasmussen tracking polls. So, while Jindal may be a future player, let's let him develop for a few more years. McCain should pick a well-known and solid second-in-command, someone he trusts. Tom Ridge, Rudy Giuliani or Kay Bailey Hutchison would make an excellent choice and show voters that McCain is his own man and is not in some kind of "Hail Mary" mode as the media would have us believe.

Oh please, oh please, oh please make the candidates' religion an issue!!!!! That would be a God send (pardon the pun) to John McCain. If anybody has something to account for with regards to his religious affiliation it is Mr. Obama and his 20 year friendship with the racist Rev. Wright. Let's not forget, people vote for President not VP, and Senator Obama's troubles with religion run far deeper than Governor Jindahl's.

I'd love to see the Democrats attack Jindal for "inexperience."
At the very least, the Republicans have the good sense to put the "inexperienced" candidate at the BOTTOM of the ticket, not the top.
Plus, Bobby Jindal accomplished more in about a week as governor than Obama has accomplished in his entire life.

I wanted Romney and think Romney would make a great VP pick for Mccain. However, I did some leg work on Jindal and I must agree, this guy is very impressive. If authenticity, effectiveness and intelligence has a packaged name, that name would be Pyuish (bobby) Jindal. I will more then support a Jindal pick. LA is very fortunate to have such a man as their governor.

Hail Bobby is correct! I must say, my respect and admiration for Jindal has no end. When I first learned of Jindal months ago, I was sure it was a choice to balance out age and ethnicity but mine oh mine....was I ever so wrong! After learning and listening and researching his records, accomplishments and views, I find myself amazed that such a politician exists. Matters not if you are a dem or a repub or an indie, this country needs a Bobby Pyuish Jindal in Washington. Win or Lose in November, we all should have a great sense of comfort that a Bobby Jindal is in washington. This man, I predict will be known one day as the person who came to washington and raised the standards and the bar on what an effective leader ought to do, should do, can do and will do! I may not agree with all of his positions but I trust, I respect, I admire and I believe in that burning focus and desire he has to make great difference to the lives of what he called "his people" aka, americans. Yes, I'm in full support of a Mccain Jindal ticket.

From reading these comments, it is abundantly clear that there are many pro-obama commenters who are religious bigots. Just because Gov. Jindal is a man of faith who has publicly talked about some aspects of his faith, the obama forces are ready with their usual attack and smear campaign--this time against people of faith. Good luck with that in the heartland where people still believe in God and presidential races are won and lost.

Not one independent would vote for a ticket with this guy on it. How are they going to introduce him to the public? It has been more then a year and still some people don't think they know Obama. They will have no idea who the hell he is and won't vote for a ticket with him on it. Especially with the odds like 100 to 1 Mccain will serve out his first term. Mccain will either die in office or have to be remover because he is not mentally fit. He isn't fit now.
+++++
I will predict that McCAin will pick Jindal. It just makes too much sense.
Jindal adds the historic element as a "model minority" minority on the ticket. This may make him more palatable to those who would not vote for Obama purely on race or belief that he is a Muslim.
He will energize the Evangelical base and "Reagan" Republicans and would likely lead to even Dobson and Limbaugh getting fully behind McCain.
He is young, charismatic, extremely intelligent and has as compelling of story as Obama's.
He is Catholic and could help woo over the Hillary middle-class Catholic voters who were so clearly split in number of swing states.
He will bring new image to the Republican Party and could greatly help increase the party's presence Southeast Asian Community
On a policy level, the rise in importance of India as a strategic ally(see the upcoming vote on the nuclear deal) could give Jindal even greater importance and would give him an logical position of importance for foreign policy issues.
His only downside is that of being inexperienced and young. While some may find this to be very damaging, I think it would present very little problems. To refute these claims McCain and Jindal can explain it away by saying that Jindal has as much experience as Obama and that the VP slot is a perfect opportunity for somebody with Jindal's intellect and talent to gain greater experience. Remember the argument between Obama and McCain is that McCain has the experience and will be ready on day one. While a Obama Jindal comparison can't really be made as Jindal is not expected to be ready on day one in the VP slot.
The other downside may be that India Americas will turn against Jindal because of his conversion to Catholicism and that he would be seen as turn-coat of sorts. However, judging by their large financial support for him in his gubernatorial campaign and the fact that the reigning matriarch of India, Sonia Gandhi, is Catholic should help offset or eliminate these concerns.

What would it mean? It would mean an important memo he may have to respond to instantly he will not even be ably to understand and respond to correctly. He will need, he already may, need someone at his side at all time to be sure he has clear in his head what exactly is going on. This has really gone far enough, this needs to be raised, I am sorry. If he is not fit to be running then someone needs to make this "VERY" public. We are not talking about a smear campaign or rumor, we are talking about a candidate for the office president of the United States who may in fact be in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's.
+++++++++
'Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) said "Iraq" when he apparently meant "Afghanistan" on Monday, adding to a string of mixed-up word choices that is giving ammunition to the opposition.
Just in the past three weeks, McCain has also mistaken "Somalia" for "Sudan," and even football's Green Bay Packers for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has referred to Czechoslovakia as current, though it has not existed since 1983.
Ironically, the errors have been concentrated in what should be his area of expertise - foreign affairs.
McCain will turn 72 the day after Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) accepts his party's nomination for president, calling new attention to the sensitive issue of McCain's advanced age, three days before the start of his own convention.
McCain's mistakes raise a serious, if uncomfortable question: Are the gaffes the result of his age? And what could that mean in the Oval Office? '
If he can't stop doing this, it won't matter who he picks.

There is enough tape of him over the years to see you don't even have to speculate. Just go back even to the 2000 primaries and he is not even close to the same man. At what point do we stop ignoring the elephant in the room? These misspeak as they keep trying to characterize them as are adding up quickly. This week he confused Iraq with Afghanistan. Does he know the difference, of course he does, but for the few seconds when he made the comment, he didn't. These are not misspeaks they are the signs of aging and he is only getting worse. At some point one of those groups are going to put out a montage of him over the last 10 years and it will look like a time lapse of someone falling apart. All they need is to put together a panel of experts to analyze him over the last few years and they may come to the conclusion he is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. It is a certainty. His lack of ability to use a telePrompter is a very good sign. One of the first things they lose is the ability to read and articulate what they are reading. That is why he is better just talking he can hide his lapses with gestures or pauses and it can be made to sound normal. Reading out loud you can't do this. I would say Mccain is in the beginnings of Alzheimer's pretty much 100%. Let them line up a few experts and they will say the same thing.

As others noted during his 2003 and 2007 gubernatorial campaigns (see update), in an essay Jindal wrote in 1994 for the New Oxford Review, a serious right-wing Catholic journal, Jindal narrated a bizarre story of a personal encounter with a demon, in which he participated in an exorcism with a group of college friends. And not only did they cast out the supernatural spirit that had possessed his friend, Jindal wrote that he believes that their ritual may well have cured her cancer.'
After a lull in the event -- it in fact lasted "a few hours" by Jindal's reckoning -- Susan attempted to run away, but was dutifully pinned back on the floor by her friends:
"Maybe she sensed our weariness; whether by plan or coincidence, Susan chose the perfect opportunity to attempt an escape. She suddenly leapt up and ran for the door, despite the many hands holding her down. This burst of action served to revive the tired group of students and they soon had her restrained once again, this time half kneeling and half standing."

I tend not to agree with the readers who accuse CC of being biased, but this time I do have to point out a serious distortion in his referring to Jindal in a way that makes him seem more experienced than he really is. Here's what CC wrote, "But, the meeting with Jindal, who has been the state's governor since 2007. . ." It kinda gives the impression that Jindal is in his second year as governor, yet he was sworn in to his office on January 14, 2008, just 6 months ago. I hope this was an honest mistake on CC's part, but I am beginning to have some doubt. Let's have a level playing field here at the Fix.

"McCain's mistakes raise a serious, if uncomfortable question: Are the gaffes the result of his age? And what could that mean in the Oval Office? '"
The Repubs have always dreamed of the Return of Reagan. Electing the absentminded Senator could be a large step in that direction. Does Cindy have an astrologer?

+++++++
Actually, Capt. Howard, he would not be a heart beat away from the Presidency. 35 is the constitutional age for Senators, the President must be 40. He could be the VP but if the Pres died before he turned forty he would not become the Pres.

Thats true- if you are already in your early seventies you can expect, on average, to live into your early 80s.
Having said that this is politics and even a low chance is significant, for example if there is a ten percent chance of someone who is seventy having an age related death or disablement in the next eight years (which I think is a lowball) it is a pretty significant statistic when considering a VP.
Take this study for example:
http://jnci.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/100/12/845
So while it is unlikely that McCain will run into one of these problems, it is likely enough that his VP pick will get extra scrutiny because of it.

That's really how you want to spin that, huh? "Sure he went to an exorcism, but it's OK because he wasn't the one performing the ritual".
That's gonna fly about as well as, "Sure he bet on cockfights, but it's OK because it wasn't his chicken."

Jindal participated in an exorcism, he wrote a long proud essay about how he and a group had basically kidnapped a woman and held her down for several hours while she struggled to escape.
On the bright side, maybe he could perform an exorcism on Dick Cheney.

I see lot of ignorance in this blog.
Yes his parents were born in India, But he was born here.
US Constitution says
"35 years old and a natural born citizen of the US".
Bobby loves this country and he converted to Catholicism from hinduism at his teen age and a devote catholic.
Don't forget that He was elected the Governor of Louisiana with his Brown skin, that shows his talents and character.

Chris, a few weeks ago, as I said on your blog, extreme white-Rep. would hate Bobby; but, given the choices available, Bobby is the best and possibly the only candidate able to put Sen. McCain over the top. I see a lot of hate-blog against Bobby by Rep., but I think when Rep. finds out about Bobby, they will fall for him like Newt and Rush Limbaugh have.
BTW, Romney is great. If Sen. McCain chooses him, this would be wonderful. I frankly don't see what people have against Mormons. I also like Romney because he is rich and successful. Being rich and successful is not a crime; we need people like this as role model and to teach us how to be rich and successful.

Sorry Louis...you drinking that Republican Kool-Aid without adding any sugar.
Most of America has no clue as to who Piyush Jindal is. Jindal is lucky he is a Republican, because if he were a Democrat running for President or VP, he and his family would get dragged through the mud.
The only reason some Republicans are throwing out Jindal's name as VP is because of his skin color. To the Republican leadership that keeps throwing out Jindal's name, they see Jindal as the answer to Obama! If Obama wasn't the nominee there is no way in hell Jindal would be even mentioned on a presidential ticket.
But by all means, please, please, please McCain select Piyush Jindal as your running mate!
Obama by a landslide in 08!

I went to sleep and woke up still and started LMAO again!
Piyush Jindal is not going to be McCain's VP pick. Plain and Simple. How in the hell you get the name "Bobby" out of name Piyush anyway?!
If McCain picked Jindal as VP, McCain would get the large and constant media coverage his campaign wants from mainstream media, but at a general election losing price. People in conservative media like Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingram, and others would be pushing Jindal (as the anti-Obama answer).
Obama is bi-racial, Jindal is all Indian. America (especially the Republican base) is not going to elect a 71-year old Republican candidate in poor health with a 37-year old Indian-American as VP and is married to an Indian woman who probably practices Hinduism.
The Republican base will silently rebuke a McCain/Jindal ticket by not showing up to vote in November, even with the mainstream media pushing this ticket!

As a lifelong conservative, the problem isn't the running mate...it's McCain. The dems are thrilled...they have a choice between a centrist democrat or a closet radical leftist for our next president. McCain can pick whoever the heck he wants. Just a little statistical clarification for Pete. The *unconditional* expected value for male life expectancy in this country is about 75 years. This number includes men who live to be 110, boys who die in their childhood, and everybody in between. However, the expected lifetime for a male, conditional on the fact that he's already 70 years old (or whatever McCain is), is much higher. I have no idea what that is, but I'm quite certain it's more than 5 years.

Further to Fact Check's earlier post regarding Article II section I ...
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
He (Johal) is qualifed by age
BUT
By this logic, and strictly following the constitution, John McCain is not qualified to serve as president.
Sure he was born to American parents, but outside of the natural United States and the founders designed this provision to stop foreign born Jonny-come-latelys from taking over this important branch of the government.

Jindal opposes abortion even in cases where a women has been raped, which might make courting moderates more difficult, although it might appeal to GOP conservatives. McCain's age also means he has to be a little conservative with his pick- the average male life expectancy is a little over 75 years, which McCain would pass in his first term- not trying to pick on him for this but it is a political reality and limits his ability to pick someone outside the box.

He visuals matter, and Jindal is the one, call 911 the McCain Show will be flat lining soon. I believe the Republican's see the writing on the wall with McCain and they figure Jindal is the youngest and the least likely to suffer the most from a huge defeat in November. What person with any real aspirations to someday run for President, would willingly want to connect themselves with the McCain ticket? Maybe the likes of Jindal? A congressional investigation has found that US Vice President Dick Cheney's office backed efforts by ExxonMobil and other oil industry players to scupper support among several top Bush Administration officials for using the US's Clean Air Act to limit greenhouse gas emissions.
It's interesting even the office of President's Chief of Staff initially supported the EPA's power to set greenhouse gas standards only to be over-rule by Cheney's office (again).
It shows who has the real power and influnce in this administration.

Jindal has already shown that he is beholden to special interest groups such as the Louisiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association who together poured loads of money and influence to get the new Jindal-signed state-wide law requiring unnecessary and harmful fluoride chemicals to be added to everyone's water supply to alter their body chemistry in ways they are yet to find out about.\
What do dentists get out of it?
They coerce legislators to throw fluoride chemicals into people who are not fluoride-deficient but are dentists deficient.
80% of dentists refuse Medicaid patients and 108 million Americans lack dental insurance.
People in America are dying from untreated tooth decay.
Dentists hope to stave off the what should be inevitable, if they didn't have so much money and political capital, dentists must be mandated to treat more low-income people and they must stop lobbying and suing other viable groups who are trying to fill their void.
Dentists like their lucrative monopoly just the way it is. You can't believe they would expend so much to deliver fluoridation if it didn't benefit themselves in some way?
And Jindal wouldn't sign the law if it didn't benefit himself in some way because modern science shows that fluoridation is ineffective, harmful and a waste of money.

For those that don't know Bobby Jindal here is an excerpt from Gingrich"s web site:
Jindal's Louisiana: A Place to Work, Invest and Raise a Family
In yet another special session of the legislature and the regular session which ended just last week, Governor Jindal has built a spectacularly impressive record of accomplishment for the people of Louisiana.
Here are just a few of the highlights:
Six Major Tax Cuts worth more than $500 million, including eliminating taxes on business and capital investment and the largest personal tax cut in the history of the state - a $300 million reduction in personal income taxes, worth up to $500 for an individual and $1,000 for a family.
Governor Jindal brought about a Transformation of Job Creation and Retraining. He completely eliminated the Department of Labor and passed a guarantee for employers that Louisiana educational institutions will train its workforce to meet their needs, and if they fail, they will retrain workers for free.
He created $10 million in Opportunity Scholarships so 1,500 poor children in New Orleans can escape failing public schools.
Jindal led the passage of The Health Care Consumers Right to Know Act, creating transparency of cost and quality for the first time in Louisiana's health care system.
Bobby Jindal expanded the number of charter schools in Louisiana from 42 to 100.
He passed legislation cracking down on child molesters and also passed a resolution calling for the creation of involuntary civil commitment of sexually violent predators to keep them confined for treatment after they complete their prison terms.

Bobby Jindal, Yes!
The blogs here that I looked at speak from emotions and ignorance.
A look at Jindal's political career shows a man of character, judgement, and the ability to use political crossover to get things done.
Jindal has been forthright about the Republican Party saying that somehow, " we lost our way". Acknowledging you are off the path allows you to start to get back on it. A McCain/Jindal team represents the changing demographics in our country, and his executive experience and his demonstrated talents to get things done in Louisiana gives McCain the needed support to move us forward.
Jindal could be the ' nitro fuel' McCain's campaign needs, and certainly would further excite our nation as to new possibilities for our children's future.
While Obama can talk about what he will do, Jindal can show time and again what he has achieved. And Bobby can go toe to toe with Barrack in oratory gifts, making any contest with an Obama VP pick a very interesting contest.
A Jindal VP announcement right now would make for interesting decisions on the part of the media. With the networks anchors googling after Obama, who will cover a historical nomination for VP.
For that is what Bobby Jindal's selection would be.

Some of these posts are really entertaining and equally insane.
Let's see, Rush Linbaugh and Newt Gingrich picking McCain's VP? I don't think so. I guess no one remembers the youthful Dan Quail. What a disaster that was. McCain isn't that stupid. If Jindel is such a rising star, let him rise over Louisianna for awhile and see what kind of an administrator he turns out to be. I personally don't want Jindel a heartbeat away from the presidency at the inexperienced age of 37.
For all of you who think this is a choice based on race; you're wrong, it's not a choice! It is probably just a media ploy to give McCain a little play in the press while Obama is making a fool of himself in Iraq.
If McCain is smart he will go with Romney. Romney's strengths are McCain's weaknesses. They would make a great team if they can get along.

Jack, what are you talking about? Giuliani is NOT libertarian -- he's a gun-grabber.
And Jindal is a social conservative, which is the antithesis of libertarian.
Most libertarians are never going to vote for either McCain or Obama. That's a net gain for Obama, since the libertarian vote has traditionally leaned Republican (but in this case the candidate is simply unthinkable).
Barr and Baldwin will split the libertarian vote, and that will knock McCain out. But the Republicans can't complain after the way they treated Ron Paul. They have only themselves to blame for the Obama victory that is unfortunately coming.

I like the idea for various reasons. Can you hear the media twisting themselves into knots trying to differentiate shades of brown? It would go something like this:
Media guy #1: 2008 is the year of the brown presidential candidate
Media guy #2: Yes John but you must remember because Jindal is an indian his brown point score is lowered by 50 points because as we all know Indians excel at engineering school. He is brown but not a negro. And as we all know there are not alot of negros in engineering school. They consider it uncool and too white to study.
Media guy #3: Yes and of course McCain picked him only because of Obama
Of course they never mind that Obama the Brown Dan Quail who thinks there are 57 states is preferred by democrats pretty much ONLY because he is black.
I am hoping he picks Bobby Jindall because he is brown. That is because I hold little hope he will pick him because he is a brown Ronald Reagan. Maybe we will get a good guy in the mix in spite of all the other big freakin fat losers we have in the choice of McCain, Clinton, Obama.

If brown is what people want then give it to them. Let us end this affirmative action program for the office of the presidency. Its insulting to the intelligence.

I mentioned that I will probably marry my girlfriend soon and that she is brazillian half black. His response was " oh that is great and we are about to have a black president"
Which I responded to with the following "The blacks here in Brazil are alot more classy than the ones in the USA. If we live in the states we will live somewhere mostly white to avoid her having problems. She is very pretty and I do not want any brothers and their inappropriate behavior including poor impulse control making her the victim"
So does that make me a racist? I have to laugh because she is half black so you know I am not. But I do not tow the party PC line on American blacks. By and large as a whole they comport themselves poorly. Their incarceration rate is extremely high and is empirical data for a problem much larger than the typical words used to varnish over the problem.
Finally with this preface I can make my point. John McCain was interviewing potential Veep candidates and Bobby Jindal was on of them.
This guy is a brown Ronald Reagan if you believe the descriptions of some. John McCain is probably going to pick him if he is smart to be his Veep candidate. Why do I say that? I say that because he is brown.
If people are so stupid with B.O. Obama to only see negro and vote because its stylish then brown must be in. I hate style because its little more than a marketing money pump mechanism. But brown must be in style.
I like the idea for various reasons. Can you hear the media twisting themselves into knots trying to differentiate shades of brown? It would go something like this:<
