Which Baseball Team's Offseason Had the Most Impact?
The Nationals' new stadium finally hosted a game, and can't be said that the folks involved didn't give it the ol' college try. Literally, as the venue's inaugural action came in a sparsely attended contest between George Washington and St. Joseph's. But that means that the real thing is just around the corner, so what we're wondering is, which MLB team's fortunes were changed the most, for better or worse, by its offseason moves?

I should preface this by saying that I'm not an avid fan of baseball. If you had to pigeon-hole me, I'm more a "Watch the Season Unfold in the Standings" MLB fan. Oh, I'll catch a game here and there on television, but there are usually more pressing things in my life I need to tend to besides devoting 4 hours of my life to watching baseball... such as watching my grass grow.
Face it, the same deep-pocket teams of years past are the very same deep-pocket teams spending an inordinate amount of money in pursuit of the "Winner of an Exhibition Game Gets Homefield Advantage in the World Series Trophy."
Let's see... the "Yankee's," "Red Sox," and "Met's" (with a Detroit Tiger's team doing there best impersonation of Daniel Snyder actually leading the way this offseason) are always 1, 2, and 3 in any conversation involved with winning the "Hot Stove League," but as the football fans in this area are well aware of, it's what the teams do between the white lines that really matters.
With that being said my answer to "Which Baseball Team's Offseason Had the Most Impact?" is "I don't care!" (But I'll give a bit of a nod to the "Nat's" for what seems to be steady, albeit slow, progress - and a brand-spanking new stadium to boot!)

i completely agree with the above posts, baseball is boring enough to watch let alone talk about the offseason, can we switch this to a discussion of the skins and football. That being said what do you guys think about this new policy of NOT signing free agents?

The Skins are now the areas 4th worst run organization in proffessional sports.
1.) Nat's
2.) Cap's
3.) Wizards

Is there any conversation that the burgundy and gold will not hijack?
We could talk about ice cream and some dumbo is going to want to talk about the skins! There is nothing going on in football right now people! Take a walk or something if you hate baseball!

Obviously, the Nats had the best off season.
They signed all of their draft picks and have a surplus of position players, i.e. Young and Lopez. They are poised for the not far off future to be very competitive. You can argue for the Mets, but it is becoming increasingly clear that "pennant buying" isn't always the way to go.
As for the Redskins, they just don't make me happy anymore.

The Red Sox had the best offseason, since they got to spend it as World Champions.

Orioles.
Addition by subtraction.
Let the Markakis-Jones-Weiters era begin.

Orioles. It's a year later than it was last year, and thus Peter Angelos is a year closer to selling the team, or death.

The Sox didn't actually do anything in the offseason, they basically have the same team as last year. I'm not complaining, I think it is great. Some small changes in the bullpen, a young possible replacement for the centerfielder, replaced back up catcher. Time for a repeat baby!

The Red Sox may very well be a dynasty. I don't see any team knocking them off this season. I admit admit, I'm biased. Go Sox!
